  1. He's a fanboy, quite a few around here.
  2. Well first off that is beautiful!! Secondly there are a few cities which you can build, found in thetravellers guide. Or build in the wilderness if you want.
  3. I read from a blog about the London toyfair said that the ears of the goblins will be attached to the hairpieces, which I think is the best idea.
  4. I am loving this theme, I understand for "classic castlers" that they might not like the theme due to it replacing Kingdoms. But I think LotR is bringing a lot! New pieces and molds coming, and as pointed out by NiceMarmot; the prices are actually quite good (if those are the true piece and price counts)! I'd much rather see Helm's Deep than King's castle, for such a large set to have more pieces than 10pc/$ ratio is very good for a licensed theme. The design itself I like better also. The sets may have a lot of gray in them, but thats what most of the movies are. I myself like lots of gray for building MOC's. At least there is colour with gandalfs cart instead of gollum in a cave. Overall I think some were expecting too much! Many said that even before the prelim pictures came out. People have their own opinions and others shouldn't get overly angry for what people have to say, but I also think that people shouldn't keep expressing their opinions if many others don't appreciate them.
  5. I'm pretty sure Saruman isn't in the hobbit, is he?
  6. link! your killing me here! Edit: So it is Haldir and not Legolas it seems in the Helms Deep set.
  7. Could you post a link?
  8. Those figures are very well done! A few things that could've been done better, but heck I'm really excited to see the sets now. The Hobbit sets coming out early 2013 is fine with me...don't want to blow my money too fast.
  9. This is an awesome Mafia game, and fun to read! megablock cultists
  10. If you were trying to reply to the other topic you might have clicked on the "start new topic" button. Anyways a moderator should close or merge the topic for you.
  11. Well I'm not very good at taking photos, I use the macro button for photographing minifigs. Its the flower symbol on a camera and it helps focus. There is also a tutorial about photography here.
  12. Nope, welcome to Eurobricks! Post an introduction and picture with your sig-fig and your good!
  13. Haha sounds awesome, better post some pics! Hopefully when I'm done schooling I'll be able to do stuff like that also.
  14. That's awesome! Love seeing all the sets together, good to hear you've come out of your dark age.
  15. Those prices on that site are on sale, so it would be a bit more than what you listed.
  16. Just wow. I always love your stuff, hope to see you building more!
  17. I love LotR as do you, but Star Wars does still has the clone wars tv series which is a big draw for kids; yet has the diehard adults. Though I know there is a large following of LotR, I don't believe it's larger than Star Wars. I don't think it will become a better line than Star Wars, that line has been going for years and I don't see it stopping soon. It is possible that Lotr could last 10 or so years, but I think that as little as three is probable too. Depends on how large of a following will buy LEGO. I think DaleDVM's idea is most likely. LotR lasting 3-4 years, with castle coming back after a couple years.
  18. The capital is Valholl. But I don't know if you should sketch out the layout yet , it might be a future build. See what the guild leader says.
  19. Well I can always hope. My little bro was ten when the first LotR came out. He loved them and still does, and definately would've bought LEGO LotR as would I. I could see the LotR line lasting just a few years, but I'm sure it could go on to be one of the most succesful liscenses too. I'm not too sure on Castle coming back yet, hopefully it does.
  20. Most seem to think it's a new horse mold. It's also seems to be in Helm's deep and Weathertop I think. But I would rather it not be in the uruk army set; I dont want more than one or two overall.
  21. This was what I was thinking. A theme that is historic, but not very close to LotR. A Roman theme and LotR at the same time would be my dream! But Kingdoms continuing would also be great!
  22. Yes, it makes sense now. I thought that the Canadians had around the same prices as the Australians. But I looked on S&H and you do pay more than us. I'm figuring that it's going to bearound $180-$200 CAD for Helm's deep. But with this line I am willing to fork out the money; I just wont be able to buy multiples.
  23. Those prices don't even make sense...way overpriced. The Aussie is pretty close to the US. That would mean Helms deep to be $240! I can't see that happening, can it?
  24. Wow that dragon looks awesome! Love the eyes and around the eye, the horns, and the shaping too. Keep it up!
  25. Well that sucks for me then, didn't expect them to go that soon. Hopefully I can still find in a nearby store, or else I'll buy it off bricklink before prices skyrocket.
