Ah! Another idea! Have a blue background for a sky like thing. Have a tank thats pretty big and about an inch from the lowest part of the ship on the front and back. Poor in about half an inch to an inch of water. Have a blue filter under the tank. Have lights on those filters to get the water a bluish look! It's a bit of hard tactic, but it may work :capn: .

I find it sort of funny that Vader posts that he has found a naughty kid like he has found a Jedi X-D :-P . I thought this thread was the best ship outside of the pirate line to be used as pieces for the pirate line? Oh, well. I still like my vote

Yeah, I'm quite disappointed at the lack of postage. In any form, I'm on a 5 week vacation to the country that started the age of exploration by being the first ones out on the open seas. (I wonder who can figure out which country is that?). So, I'll find what time I can get to nab some posts here. What gets me is the number of hits or views, verses the number of posts. This would have been an interesting project to do and finish. In any form, if nobody gets interested, I'll still write the rules and make the graphics, as experience points. Though, I may/may not post it. -
OOC: Boonetrooper is a rebel...Admiral X-D . *beep* Yes? ......kssh....... Alright. I'll be there soon. General Tiber, continue the orders and seek out what in he world the Imperials are doing. General oo7, General Pirhana, and Liutenant TT, I'm forced to leave to another location secret for the aid of the Rebel Alliance. I'll be gone for a while, as I hear what I'm finding is a wily thing. I'll leave General oo7 and General Tiber in command in my absence. Good luck. And May the Force be with you :-) OOC: I'm out for five weeks or so on a much needed vacation. I'll try to nab some time during the vacation just to check in. Have fub :-) . And I expect not to be capturd, injured, or killed while I'm gone!!! :-P ! Wowie, lots of Imperial recruits!

Correct spelling is Saran wrap. I was close X-D .

Another good material is ceran(however you spell it) wrap. Looks good if you animate it well. Might I suggest you taking a gander at The Pirate Film INDEX for water ideas.

Well, as far as I'm aware, ink is applied to a giant...foam...thingy...and is then pressed onto the fig, I figure that there is a small plate the kind of outlines where that paint goes. It was in one of those "lego factory" features where you could see the inside of the factories. Your MOC is absolutely stunning. It could pass off as a real Lego figure. Your sith fighter is a great piece of art. Awsome job!

I find it ironic...sort of. Towls are a good way for us to make up 'water', even though towels are used to soak up water! ( I was expecting something shinking! Or you ship you posted in the MOC forum from your town....city.)

Yup. Anyway, check first post for a bit of the Official Rules. To get more idea of how it's going to be to others. That's 3 people interested. Mister Phes, I'm sure, is too busy to play with us :-P . I'll wait till there's a couple more people interested. -
What's a Good Price for an AT-TE?

I managed to buy the parts seperately for the MTT for less than 100$. So you could always try that tactic. -

I have said my reasons why I'm not doing it TIE-Army styled. I had notioned it to be originally, but scraped it. It also adds originality to it! -
I like them. They look very neat. Was this done in multiple layers? One Layer? Pixel by Pixel? Very good.

Done and done. Cutlass: The game is going to be a progressive type. So you all don't have to be there. -
Creepy, but pretty cool.
-
I've got you. There. Now, get cleaned off and you can rest. Same goes to the rest of the army. I'll stay and watch guard.

Wowie, that's alot. I'll have to give you pics of it to make sure you want to buy that many X-D . Anyway, I'm off for a much needed 5 week vacation in Portugal. So nothing will happen until the end of July/august. To make it worse, it appears that I may be moving at around the time I get back. I'll just have to wait and see. I deffinately want to do this :capn: !

General Tiber! Welcome back. As of late, we're all at Kashyyyk awaiting for Imperial reinforcements. But it appears they haven't. Here's a mission. Find out what the Imperials are doing. They've just let this planet go. Somethings got them fixed.

Having MOCs from other members would be nice, but possibly too confusing. Edit: I'm also try to fit in alot of things to make the story/game alot like what you could do in the 17th century. Like pirates switiching flags to surprise unsuspecting merchant ships. C'mon! Who else? -

MOCs will be even more time consuming than this. I'd have to take pictures, upload, ect. I still have to go to PS to update it. Which it would be updated at least on a scheduled basis. This way, there is one board for all to see in the first post. Easily, and clearly. The reason this isn't going to be a TIE army thread styled game is to lose the factors of people getting it totally out of it's original intention. Getting it totally off topic....and to eliminate people adding tanks and immortal dragons. I'm going to have 10 ships in the game, 5 people on each, so I'm sure they all wont be filled up. If need be, I'll add more ships. There'll be a Captain on each, and they'll give advice. There'll be treasures, and you can get bunches of money or lose it all. -
Mr. Tiber, that link goes to replying to this thread! Well, if you put a beam under it, it should be good. But I would suggest in conditions where you can control the water and keep it as flat as possible. Or else the waves will look like they're jumping when animating.

I'm writing up "how to play". But it takes a bit. And I'd want expressions of interest of people who would like to play before I spend alot of time writing it up. Basically, you and some members are on a ship, you move via the grid system, and pillage and plunder at islands ports that are going to be spread on a map similar to the one shown. Or you and some members are on the English Navy and try stop them. -
I would not do it on water. First, the ships will sink, as the normal lego hulls can't really float. If you have the 4+ hulls, you could, but still not a good idea because the waves will look like gigantic 100 ft. waves. if it was on the ocean. You're best to either working in a smaller scale, or blue bricks.

Alrighty laddies! I've got a something for us to be doing while we sail the large, open, seven seas! (EDIT) Okay, I

The movie is very popular. Even at that, have you ever seen Lego do a set (series) after a ride?
-
Yes, but it's highly unlikely Lego would do a series after a ride. "I'd rather see Pirates [an original line, too] come back first than something else."
