  1. Can't wait for this to start! I've got some RPG experience from other sites, but this will be a first on Eurobricks (for me).
  2. Wha a wonderful opportunity, I wouldn't want to miss out! Can you include mine too, please? Thanks, Stash!
  3. Name: "Reptile" (Disturbia) Team: Sewer dwelling mutants age: 100 Gender:male There have been rumours of monsters in the sewers, everywhere. People go missing during the night, if they stray too close to the manholes. The Governments dismiss the cries of the people, although they did send down a SWAT team to make the people happy. The team came back unharmed, reported nothing. But people kept disappearing. Heck, even computers, fans and bicycle pumps were stolen. There is a reason, a cause for everything. Many years ago, something went wrong with testing radiation missiles at some far off plant in the middle of the Pacific. Scientists, builders and engineers alike were flooded with millions of rads per minute, and some how survived the tragedy. There were nasty chemicals at the plant too, which started to leak on them during the crisis. Perhaps the toxins saved them. It saved them alright, but not in the way they wanted. Their bodies changed beyond recognition. They became monsters. People cried in fear when the mutants tried to re-establish contact. The whole radiation missile test crisis became worldwide known, but everyone assumed these monsters killed everyone and set them off. Ostracized and shunned, the mutants made it to the underworld of cities. Their sanity waned as the years rolled on. Their life expectancies were boosted immensely. At one point, they had mostly separated out of declining resources like food (and the fact some went so mad they turned on the rest). "Reptile" has lost his name, according to him. It means nothing to him. His mutation spawned him two more arms and scales, not to forget his gaping jaws and crocodillian head. He wears all that remains of his original suit in the hope someone will recognise it and him. He knows the sewers like the backs of his hands, and operates from a range of different locations (he's always on the move) from New Sparta to Schwarzeneggopolis. He steals technology from the surface, as does every other mutant, and can hack on four different computers at the same time. He managed to hack into the New Republic Bank once, stealing every dollar. He got away with it, and still has the cash. His purposes for the cash are malevolent, but largely unknown. What's he working on now is also unknown. Whenever he's on the surface world, he carries two large rifles for protection. He never had a chip, his mutation occurred before the compulsory installation of chips into people's minds. He also plans to travel to Terrel for some zerbite ore.
  4. Exactly the same happened to me! It annoyed me, but luckily I had a normal version of the hair, so I swapped them.
  5. Awesome! Did you base this off a Mongoose, by any chance? Loving the gun-like thing!
  6. I meant the one in the Mos Eisley Cantina set. I kinda forgot that speeder existed
  7. They're in the ARC-170 fighters in the Battle of Coruscant, and another one shoots down Plo Koon.
  8. Well, I certainly hopes this happens! Mandalorians have always been fan favourites, so why not?
  9. It looks so shiny! Outstanding, I can never create such a beauty! The SNOT techniques and the wall are the best part of this MOC!
  10. This is more of a new MOC than a mod. I love the new colour scheme and mods though, great work! The figs are awesome too!
  11. I've complained enough about the price, so I'll leave the rants out. The speeder is a much needed improvement over the original, which is We need more individual Jedi, so thank you TLC for making Barriss! The new print on the Clone is awesome too. I hope more Phase II troopers are released soon. Despite the price, I might just get the set anyway. This great review has made me lean over to buying it slightly more.
  12. Yeah, my TRU has new sets too, no freeco though maybe it's an Argos exclusive, who maybe releasing their new catalogue next week. The swamp speeder has bumped up to £40, shockingly. So many people are going to be disappointed that they get a speeder that is barely 15cm long for such a high price. I'm definitely going to wait for a sale on that set. I feel TRU are just exploiting the fans for another £10.
  13. I did a quick price conversion into GBP and did some rounding up. 8093 - £20 8095 - £40 8096 - £60 8097 - £80 8098 - £110 (?!) 8089 - £40 Well, these suck...
  14. I'd never thought I would ever buy a HF set, but seeing proper pictures now I'll have to reconsider... Meltdown, Thunder, Corroder and Xplode look appealing, at least to me. Those toxic waste barrels are a great addition to Meltdown
  15. Meh, this is one set I won't get. This speeder is too similar to the previous one, which I prefer and own. The figs I already have in some form, and the price is pretty poor. Like others have said, I wish TLG would make new vehicles instead of remakes. Nice review, btw!
  16. I'll call dibs on Meltdown, thanks. :skull:
  17. Wow... staggeringly awesome. Excellent job The cockpit is the best part.
  18. I never noticed until it was pointed out. I don't mind either way, but I voted rounded so they can appear like proper shoulders.
  19. Does it really matter whether a set is ROTS or CW? Sure, some people don't like animated faces on minifigs, but that doesn't really affect the set in any way. At first, I didn't like the eyes but now I don't mind them at all, I happily mix them with dot-eyd figs.
  20. The latest game I played was MW2, but that's just been reviewed so I'm gonna do one of my all time favourite games that was released recently Name: Halo 3: ODST Rating: M for Mature Release: 22 September, 2009 (Worldwide) Genre: First Person Shooter Wiki Article: 'Ere Halo is one of the most successful game series of all time, and while I think Halo 3 is the best, ODST comes pretty close to second. You're no longer in the boots of the Master Chief, who is a super strong warrior who jumps higher, runs faster and endures longer than a human marine. This time we are in the boots of an ODST (orbital drop shock trooper), who isn't the Master Chief. Grunts still can be killed in one punch, don't worry about that. Story: 22/25 - The ODST campaign (I feel) is longer than the Halo 3 one, and much better. It also has a great story that coincides with Halo 2, and the legendary ending coincides with Halo 3. There are more levels, but one level feels shorter than a level from Halo 3. The enemies don't seem any tougher than they were in Halo 3 and there are no new vehicles. The latter statement brings the campaign down a mark - I expected to see new stuff. You can't even drive wraiths anymore. There is a new enemy, however, the Engineers. They're not new to the Halo universe, but are to the FPS games (I don't count the hack on Halo:CE) and are quite deadly because they're fitted with explosives. So many times have I under-estimated these ugly blimps. There are two new AWESOME weapons, the SMG (new version) and Automag pistol. I'm no gun nut, so I don't know the full names of the guns. The Automag is perhaps the best pistol in gaming history, it's more powerful than you think. Grunts fall in one shot to the head, and it's unbelievably easy to lock onto its head. The SMG is very effective against Brutes, Jackals, Drones, Grunts, even Hunters (when you hit in the right place). All in all, a great story. A lost rookie looking for the rest of his squad, encountering trouble on the way. There's also that detective element to the story, as you have to find the 'beacons' to unlock the next mission. This is quite annoying to those who are bad sighted and impatient (I am both), but I still found the clues in par time. I give a high mark to the campaign. Gameplay: 23/25 - Pretty much flawless. Simple controls, the very same ones as Halo 3, so Halo fans must have been pleased. Graphics have improved since Halo 3. It's down two marks because of what happens when you lose health. Your screens goes completey red. ARGHHHH! It's much worse on COD games! Since I have bad eyesight, I find it a bit difficult to navigate or see much when the screen goes totally red. Replayability: 25/25 - Why not? Just like getting the skulls in Halo 3, there is a replayability factor to ODST. This is finding all the audio logs, which result in 4 achievements at least. They also give a bit of background information on New Mombasa, but I didn't listen to them and instead read about them online. There's also two achievements on either killing 10 engineers or killing none. You won't get both in one campaign run, trust me. No flaws I can think of here. Multiplayer: 20/25 - The only thing that comes close to multiplayer is Firefight. It goes down a few marks because Firefight doesn't work like matchmaking, and it's pretty much invite only parties limited to 4 people. Here you can spend a few hours shooting the crap out of grunts and brutes, and dependent on the map, run them down in choppers or ghosts. It's quite fun, I guarantee. Better to do it on Heroic with 3 friends or guests. Best map is Lost Platoon, because you can just go drive by shooting in a Warthog and Chopper. Firefight is not much fun on your own. Overall: 96/100 - The flaws are minor, like bloody red screens and lack of real matchmaking (well, maybe this one isn't minor), but I truly recommend this awesome game. Buy it and don't regret it.
  21. Atm, I prefer the TARDIS we've had for the last five years, and I don't want a radical redesign just like that. Same thoughts on Matt Smith, but I 'spose when Eccleston went, I didn't like Tennant much until I really got used to him midway Series 2. Those Reptilians in the trailer may be seriously reworked Ice Warriors or Silurians. Seems unlikely, but I've heard on-set reports that they were Silurians If that is true, I'd like to hear why they don't have a third eye. RTD confirmed that the mysterious Woman in End of Time was the Doctor's mother in DW Confidential. That easily explains why the Doctor and her looked emotionally at each other.
  22. A cheaper set with Cad Bane? A new Imperial shuttle? My wallet and bank account just got a bit emptier.
  23. Agreed. If only they aplied that technique to the doors in the Battle of Endor set.
  24. I so hope that you're right (about pricing error), if not there is no hope of getting it at a fair price...
  25. That was quite an awesome episode. Rassilon returns! There was even a Star Wars-esque battle with the spaceship versus the missiles (it reminded me of the Millennium Falcon blowing up TIE Fighters). The ending was surprising too, and who knew it would be Wilf knocking four times (asking the Doctor to let him out ). I also thought that the scene in the alien bar was like the Mos Eisley Cantina, and I at the drunken Adipose. There's also an allusion that Russell Tovey's joining the next season of Torchwood. All in all, it was far better than I expected, and what a great way to go, David.
