LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
The Legonater replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I wonder if there will be a 'stupitidy' ability for the Battle Droids... -
Nice MOC. I was working on a bigger dual sceane, But most of my bricks (and space) is being used by my bigger MOC-in-making. Yeah, I can play a chunk of Battle of the Heroes on Piano and Trumpet.
-
I actually have some action pics, but they're on my laptop. I'll get them on tommorrow.
-
Nah, LEGO just doesn't think ahead.
-
That Ski-Cross was a big dissapointment for Canada... I ws hoping for all three of our guys on the podium.

How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
The Legonater replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I have Season 1, but have only seen 1 episode of season 2, Senate Spy, which was horrible. I haven't seen any others, though, because I have dial-up and can't watch them on the main site. -
I'm using my rifles as camaflauged snipers.

I believe you are wrong. I don't have a magnet set, but I've heard they're the exsact same as any other figure, the magnet is in a stand they... well... stand on. I do have a keychain, however, and you can't take out the chain.
-
Ooh!!! Too bad magnet sets aren't available in stores...
-
Actually, it was an Indy quote.
-
Or they'll be leaked.

To start off, this convoy was about a two-month long process. It all started with an Indy 4 wallpaper I got, featering the cliff sceane. I comared it with my newly-rebuilt DUCK, and was shocked at the difference. Thus, I began the journey to get these fixed. Here's all of them together: First up, is the DUCK. As said before, this is the vehicle that started this whole shipbang. The first thing I did was fix the hood: I found the original hood ugly anyways, so it was a small loss. Basically, I began with flattening the surface. Next thing I did was move the position of the gun. A while later, I added the bulb lights, instead of the earlier version. Here's a shot of the shattered window: Next I changed the entierer. I despratly wanted to change the horrible seats, but I didn't want to widen the vehicle. So I came up with this simple solution: stick a 2x2 piece under one of the seats. It actually helped me a lot. I also widened the back, which opened up the space. Another change, was the fact that the movie varient had flat sides, instead of the raised ones seen in the set. I gladly took out the stickered pieces. At last I took to the back- which was quite simple. First I removed the tire and gas can, then I raised the lights, and added the bar piece. One of the main challenges came to me from a friend of mine, when he showed me that there were no tire rims on the real DUCK. After a few days, I finally came up with a satisfactory way to replace the rims. Next was the Jeep. This was substatially easier: the main change had already been made by me before. This change was the driver's seat. About a month after I had gotten the set, I replace the single seat with the double, and still kept the basic shape. Now, my main challenge was colour. I had to change it from the light-grey German jeep from Raiders, to the darker Russian Jeep from KotCS. It took a whiule, but was done nonetheless. Another signifant change, was the front. I dispised the tire rims that were in place before, and could not use them for the Russian jeep. I decided on this versian, which keeps the roundness, but also adds the shape I needed. For the back I added the rims I had taken from the DUCK, and also included a sort of 'tarp' seen in the movie. I also took the stickered pieces, and put them here. To finish the jeep, was the sides. Originally, I just included 1x4 thin pieces I had taken from the Jungle Cuter. But while watching the movie again, I noticed something I had not noticed before: A spare tire on the side! I frantically added this on surprised that I did not see something so obvious. Next was the truck. This was only seen in a few sceanes, so changes were sparse. I kept most of the design, but made changes in a few key areas. The main change was- again- the hood. The original truck had a very simple design. But I had to scrap that- in the movie is a very prominent tire, which gets split in half. Also, I added the little screen Indy opens to make way for his bazooka. A smaller change was the back. I added the gate commen to most trucks- including the movie one- but was starngly not in hthe LEGO set. It wasn't a hard change either, just a few small additions. The final change made to the truck was the roof. The KotCS version had no roof, so I took it out. It was soon replaced by a bar that Indy grabs at one point in capturing the truck. Lastly was the Jungle Cutter. It was difficult- of course- because you barely see it in the movie. But there was one major change I made to the vehicle. The main change was the addition of the second turbine. I'm surprised they didn't include this in the set instead of having a ridiculus cave. The turbine itself was simple, but I had to make this look 'natural' and sloped. The cheese slopes helped a lot with this. The main problem with the slope, is that I wanted to keep the explosian feature. Eventually, with a few tricky maneuvers, I did both. Also, I lengthened the smaller pipe. Another change was the mysterious back wheel. If you look closly, it's in the movie, but it has little purpose. In fact, I have no clue WHY it's there, but I added it anyways. Action pics: Blowing up the Jungle Cutter Indy attempts to take control a Russian jeep. Meanwhile, Spalko nearly kills Marion with the machine gun. Sorry for the fuzzyness of the pictures. Comment are welcome. Enjoy!

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
The Legonater replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It would. But if Indy 2 is anything to go by, it could also be a hassle. I forget if I've said this before or not, but I hope the don't use the hub worlds. Those were complicated, and the levels were short. -
Hmmm... My Bithday's November 3rd I write series I entend to publish someday. The Legonater is my alias on several sites. I'm addicted to LEGO and Starwars. I desperatly want LEGO to make LEGO Stargate. I love old shows (Get Smart, MacGyver,) I am currently making a giant MOC.

I don't see why people hate Boba so much. He's extremly LEGO-ish. It's nothing new compared to the clones, why are you all so upset?
-
OKAY! OKAY! I'll put these guys on a weight loss! Truthfully, I just got Season 1 a short time ago, and haven't made the changes yet. Itr was kind of rushed by a few people asking me for pics. I will change it sopn.

Last time I checked we were tied in third... ah, well.
