MOC Black Pearl-lite rev2 with building INSTRUCTIONS!!!
El Bucanero replied to RTN LNA's topic in Pirate MOCs
Mr Baty, I edited your post because the picture was... well... big, very big... I'll gladly use these instructions as soon as I get the parts! ;-) -
It reminds me more of a van... a bit too small for a city bus IMO. But that doesn't mean I don't like it! The design is very nice. It really has the official lego set feeling. Very good! Have a nice day, Mr Tiber

Goldeneye is also one of my favorite (James Bond) movies.... Why not? They have pizza!
-
What does OCC mean?? Yihaa! Ready the cannons!
-
I recently saw some pictures of these Ties... and they are... well quite lovely! *wub* So how do I join(the dark side offcourse, they have cookies!)?
-
Well, I'd like to ask: why do you want a poll? There are A LOT of ships, so it would be a very long poll. It seems better to me if you make a poll after favorite ships are nominated, no? Well, I don't have a single town/city ship. Although I do like the Maersk sealand ship.

Yes! Another Pirate fan! You should take a look in the pirate forums! Welcome! Enjoy your stay.

Okay, I decided not to have crew's quarters. It would make the ship too high... I can't get my hands on the camera yet so pictures will come later. Tumblehome... Not a piece of cake... There are several ways to get the tumblehome effect. You can use tall slopes. (nr 75, not nr 65 because those only come in 2 x 2) Like on this fine ship: But you can also use "normal" slopes like on L'orient. I myself prefer the look of the tall slopes... What do you all think? I need to make a decision...

To Mr. Tole you mean?? Well, Belgium is not so big. X-D Ready the ships!!
-
Sorry for reviving an old topic, but do you live close to Dutch Limburg? In case you do, there IS a fellow pirate fan near your home! :-P

Cool car! I like cars wider than four studs. Too bad there can't be minifigs inside. The grill is very nice. Reminds me of BMW Did you know this is your 1000th post?

Have you pre-ordered the new Millennium Falcon yet?
El Bucanero replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I voted : Nope. I really like it but that's way too much... You didn't knew I do like some LEGO starwars sets did you? *vader* 500 euros, is way too expensive for me, it's even more expensive that the Imperial Star destroyer! Have a nice day, Mr Tiber -
Cartoon and kids tv topic, simpsons, futurama etc

A FORUM!? Are you allright? Maybe you confuse thread and forum because no way there's going to be a south park forum.... Otherwise there would already be a James Bond, POTC, LOTR etc forum... -
I learned it from the pirate forum! And from several books (like SHIP!), I just did some research because I wanted to know the terms... Some terms I don't even know in Dutch, like tumblehome... tuimelhuis misschien? :S Not really, but it would be very convenient to know where people are talking about as a pirate mod! ;-)

The French frigate L'Orient: Work in progress
El Bucanero replied to Bonaparte's topic in Pirate MOCs
Aha, I see... I'd like to aks you something Boney, from the pictures you use in the first post it is quite hard to see the tumblehome, but the gunports look tilted. So how did you achieved tumblehome? I'm still fighting with this technique on my ship. I first wanted to use slope nr 65, but those only come in 2 x 2. 2 studs between cannons is not enough, and 4 studs is too much for me... -
So you're building a pirate ship eh? Well, I must say, that if you want a historically accurate ship, the sails should be plain white. Cause even the craziest pirate wouldn't have sails like this. It would be the same like shouting "hey soldiers I'm a pirate! Come and hang me!".... Although, some pirates did have plain red or plain black sails...
-
Really? I never knew that... Hi there Frank! Do you still have this MOC? Because I have some ideas that might make it look like a decent cutter/longboat. 1. Get rid of those white boats, take brown or black ones. 2. Change the colours of the bricks below the masts and of the plate at the stern. 3. Put fences on the plate. Have a nice day, Mr Tiber

You mean so I would get the tumblehome effect?
-
Well, you can buy military helmets from Armothe's Brickforge. Not sure if they are WWI helmets. But you can fool your teacher! :-P Decals for soldiers can be found all over the web... If it was about WWII there are loads of custom weapons and figs...

The French frigate L'Orient: Work in progress
El Bucanero replied to Bonaparte's topic in Pirate MOCs
Mr Bonaparte, could you be so kind to take more pictures of the ship and post them here? I really want to see this fine ship in other angles! -
I don't think they really need green tails... Maybe red would fit better in the colour scheme. Anyways, I thought the green details were supposed to represent headrails. Have a nice day, Mr Tiber
