Let's take a look on the pictures on the box, shall we? Mmmmh, it's obviously lower than on the picture you show us, Mr Bonaparte. But on this picture (from the Pictorial Review by Mister Phes) it's the same. Where did you find the picture, Mr B? Perhaps there are difference between American, European or whatever versions. Sadly, I don't own this fine set, so I can't post any pictures of it... Mr Tiber

PICTORIAL REVIEW: 6285 Black Seas Barracuda
El Bucanero replied to Capn Frank's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is the ship wich brought me into pirates again. I bought it in LEGOland Denmark. I remember I searched the whole frigin' park shops to find it... At the end of the day I was quite desperate I couldn't find it. But when I entered the PaB, I saw it... I was happy and also confused: Happy because I found this wonderful ship, and confused because the put it in the PaB... Why on earth would you put a set in a brick shop?! If I hadn't had this ship, I probably wouldn't be into pirates again, and besides, the HMS Unpredictable wouldn't have looked like it was without the parts of this ship. One of the best sets ever made! 5 out of 5. Mr Tiber -
I think your head is just right! I think mine is also a bit too shady... But maybe it fits with the sunset background... BTW: You have a very clean and nice avatar Mr Tedbeard! Mr Tiber

You must be the Pirate torso master of this forum! Brilliant torsos! This thread comletly flew over my head! The torsos are reaally beautiful! Keep it up! Mr Tiber

I don't think a petition would do us any good. LEGO has this policy not to accept ideas of persons outside the LEGO group. To prevent people seuing TLG because they "stole" their idea. Although, since you're talking about a re-release, maybe this is different... I hope so! X-D Anyway, that's not a bad start for an army! Mr Tiber

Interesting building Mr Trooper! But why is Napoleon so interested in this building? It looks like a good building to be barracks to me. Looks good. Mr Tiber

Very nice for such a small ship! But I have to agree with Mr Dreamweb, I also don't really like the green coloured sails. Don't you think the back windows of the cabin are a bit too big? Maybe it looks better if you use the windows you also used on the sides, and give it a nice frame... And finally, I have a question about the steering wheel: Is it LEGO? It reminds me of Knex somehow... Very cool! Mr Tiber

Linienschiff and a Frigate displayed at Modeling Fair 2007 (Austria)
El Bucanero replied to Scouty's topic in Pirate MOCs
Not quite, Mr Scouts changed the title but he wrote Limienschiff instead of Linienschiff. So I changed it to Linienschiff. So nope, nobody hacked me! Mr Tiber -
And yet another pirate fan!! Welcome aboard laddy! Enjoy your stay! Mr Tiber

I'm also very happy to be back! :-D No, I think it's not bad as it is now, no real need for more redesigns for a while. Mr Tiber

Yes I did work abit on the HMS Unclaimable. But I'm ashamed to say there has been made far less prgoress than I hoped... :-$ I will take and post pictures of it in these days. Mr Tiber

That's a nice MOC Capt Cool.! There's alot of details I see. Although, If I may be so nitpicky, how come the mast is still standing? The shroud is not really a good support, is it? X-D Well, nevermind, me and my creativity wouldn't be able to build this... Welcome to the forum BTW! :capn: Mr Tiber
-
Wow, that's one big ship! It already looks good. And the amount of details is already stunning! Although I think it would look a bit "fat" because of it's length, a bit longer would make I look more sleek I think... But if it's intended to look like that, that's okay offcourse! I can barely wait to see the final result of this amazing Ship in progress. Mr Tiber

Does that mean you already have weights in the hull? And since I don't have one of these hulls, I'd like to know how the underside looks... Is it possible to attach bricks on the underside of the hull? That's good to read! Mr Tiber
-
Welcome back Mr Legeaux! The ship looks very interesting, I've never seen it done on that type of hull before. I think your hull is perfectly suited to put in some weights. I've never used them before, but I think they work quite well.. Mr Tiber

Hmmm, yes I believe that's correct, but I believe first mate is also correct... I tried searching Wiki but I believe those are modern day ranks... Anyway, here as very little Wiki article about the helmsman... Mr Tiber

Linienschiff and a Frigate displayed at Modeling Fair 2007 (Austria)
El Bucanero replied to Scouty's topic in Pirate MOCs
I didn't think about that. Sorry! Anyway, you can also write "Lineship" I think that's also a correct term. I have a pirate game where one of the ship types is Lineship, it has about the same size and armament as this ship, so I think it's correct... And yes, fregatte is frigate. *sweet* Linienschiff: Ship of the line, or lineship I guess... Mr Tiber -
Hey, you're right! Strange, I checked the lyrics of the soundtrack, it was "..if you can't feel the life" but I just checked the movie and it is indeed "alive". Thanks for pointer! ;-) Mr Tiber

No don't start looking for the Commander, not yet, Commander Scouts is a good survivor, we should just follow his orders and hold our position. Tommorow might be to soon to look for him. OOC: and btw, it's Commander scouts and not General Scouts. ;-) Mr Tiber

Linienschiff and a Frigate displayed at Modeling Fair 2007 (Austria)
El Bucanero replied to Scouty's topic in Pirate MOCs
ImperialScouts, I see you wrote Limienschiff, but it has to be Linienschiff (meaning ship of the line). And since you also wrote frigate instead of fregatte, why don't you just write ship of the line? :-$ Just a friendly suggestion. I have to say, those brickshelf finds are getting better and better! Mr Tiber -
Happy Birthday to you! Mr Tiber

El Bucanero replied to Scouty's topic in Pirate MOCs
You're right. The only thing I think he could do to make it look even better is giving the fore-mast an extra sail. Other than that (besides the colour-scheme) it is great. Thanks. That one month was painfully long... It's good to be back. :'-) Mr Tiber -
Nice one! :-D Sometimes I feel the same like the unfortunate guy in your (mini) vig. Mr Tiber
