Well it helped me make a pretty important decision: building the black pearl, I was planning to build another frigate to battle my old one, but since I already have a frigate , I decided to build the Black Pearl, a pirate ship can battle my frigate too. These Black Pearls motivated me because I also want to build a LEGO Black Pearl. Firstly I decided not to build a Black Pearl because that bloody kraken sunk it, but we will see the Pearl again in part 3 At worlds end...BTW does anyone of you knows how much cannons are on the Black Pearl? Arrr Mr Tiber

Your're right Mr oo7, thank you. Mr Phes, your'e right about the black hull pieces, but they are too narrow for a black pearl. It's a pity that nobody builded an accurate black pearl, but that's probarly because you can't see the black pearl very properly in potc 1.

I'm out of cloth and don't know where to buy it at all *wacko* but I will use your tutorial for my frigate. Arrr Mr Tiber

About the dutch uniforms: There are also dutch soldiers, in the game Sea-dogsII/pirates of the caribbean, you can see them, I'm trying to get some pictures of them, also in lego.

This is my first pirate themed ship, got it on the age of 5 and I played a lot with it. With only one cannon it is a bit underarmed, and the collapsing mast can be very anoying. But it's a great addition to my collection

3 stars, I don't like the blue cannon base, the raft from the Spaniard is weird, and some of the colours are weird too....

The pirate is okay The flag is okay, nice addition for a pirate base moc. The raft...is terrible The colours , same as the raft...terrible It can't float at all! 3 stars: for the pirate, his flag and another oar...

Only three cannons captain?! you mean one!!!! I HATE this ship, like I hate a worm in my apple... the design is terrible, LEGO really messed up this set, the design is awful, they shouldn't waste their time on things like this, but use it for a proper new pirate line! <=1, TERRIBLE!

It is quite small, but I'm still proud of it!

I like the first better, because its not a BSB with an extra mast and black pieces, about the trilogy, maybe there will be four parts. I like the first better because its an original design, and is more accurate to the movie than the second, a pity about the brown hull, lego never released black hull pieces :-( Keep an eye out for MY Black Pearl(according to bricklink it will take a long long time)!

Great port! lots of detail! But I do have a suggestion, try widening it, so big ships can dock in there, probarly one of the best Imperial base MOC ever!

I love to see a small ship for once, all those ship are huge and heavily armed (no offense fro there builders I'm one too) Sails are great, at the first look I find them quite strange, but they're actually great, if I find my cloth, I will surely use your tutorial! :-)

Wow It is amaxing! It is huge, lots of detail but the stern castle is very square indeed, Must be lots of treasure in that ship *skull*

(I asume this has to be armada flagship, please tell me if I'm wrong)Just to give it a more captain feel. When I got the armada flagship on the age of five, I asked my parents: were is the captain? :-)

Ah know I know again, mister Phes! I often read the message board and saw the name mister Phes, when the pirate board was still alive... they deleted it!! >:-( ... ah Eurobricks is way better than their message board... Aye..

They are created by The LEGO Company acutally. This is a page out of the LEGO 1990 (is that the correct year?) ideas book. The ideas book contains complete instructions on how to build those ships however being an ideas book you need to buy a Black Seas Barracuda or Caribbean Clipper to get the necessary pieces. Wow I didn't knew that :-) Isn't it strange that TLC didn't release these ships.... They aren't bad at all.
