Nice! This has a real classic space feel to it. It's a shame that they don't do those wheel arch pieces in blue yet, otherwise it would be perfect. I think the short nosed version looks the better of the two.
  2. That's another very cool addition to an already great city. It looks like you might be starting to run out of floor space in the loft! I can only dream of having a space like that at the moment. :-(
  3. I think all of your armoured cars (even the big ugly soon-to-be-decommissioned one) are your best military mocs. The Police SWAT and Army troops need something to safely transport a lot of them as quickly as possible into the thick of the action. I like this latest one as it's simple, functional, and does exactly what it's designed to do. I'm really impressed by it's large capacity. My armoured car can only carry two troops! I honestly don't know why people are going on about the height. Because the wheels stick out at the bottom, it's wide wheelbase makes it very stable. Not a lot could turn this over. I'd be more worried about the ramp. It's okay when the troops are disembarking, but it looks like they'll have trouble getting back in quickly which could leave them exposed. Excellent MOC Batbrick!
  4. Aw man, I just couldn't decide... they're all so good! But in the end I made the choice on which I'd have to buy if they were real. I'd get a load of Rupee Clock's Cargo, 'cos the official sets never come with enough. Supreme Commander Grievous' Dwarven Armourer is just too cool for school. And thanks to Batbrick, Alfred won't cost me a fortune and his Wayne Manor accessories are just perfect! Well done to everyone who entered!
  5. Thanks, that's so cool. But I've got some bad news. Product testing of the T700 has revealed a fatal flaw. The driver is in constant danger of getting his head shot off! I've been trying to adapt the original design to include a hatch so the driver can duck down (actually, remove the minifig) and close the hatch to protect himself. Here are the extra bricks you'll need for each tank: And here is the modified tank: Click here to view my Lego Factory Gallery where you can order the old version and the new verison, or just download the .lxf files so you can build it from your own bricks. You will still need to add this part from your own collection as it not available from Lego Factory. A helicopter! What a great idea, I'll have to start working on that one.
  6. This is a beautifully sleek design. I love the way the landing gear folds up and I particularly like this idea: as a substitute for this old piece: Spacecraft need attitude control jets! X-D
  7. Thanks for your kind comments, all. Ooh! My first customer! Hang on a minute, doesn't this make me an international arms dealer? 8-
  8. Good advice Batbrick, I'm not at all interested in the "R-word". :-/ As far as I'm concerned the EN should be all about MOCing. Check out the latest post in this thread for my new T700 Ultra-Compact Main Battle Tank. I'll add some pics to the main EN pic thread soon.
  9. New from the General Block Corporation - the latest addition to New Block City's army is the ultra compact T700 Main Battle Tank: The main gun raises and lowers on click-hinges, the turret rotates, and it has a nasty surprise under the hood - a quadruple-barrelled forward facing mortar for demolishing obstacles. The single pilot controls all these functions with the help of onboard radar tracking and auto-targetting systems. Rear view showing heat exhausts: Although it looks like a hover tank, it actually runs on 10 steel-tyred wheels designed to cause minimum damage to tarmac surfaces, whilst still being able to withstand a direct hit from a small mine. Click here to view my Lego Factory Gallery where you can now order this model. Please Note: The bricks are ordered directly from The Lego Company, so no actual money will go to the fictional General Block Corporation or to myself.
  10. I just really love svelte_corps "Recylotron vs. Compostia". There is a surreal beauty about it, and the choice of colours is excellent. The consistency of the colours and the elegant simplicity of the design makes it look like a real set. In fact, if it was a real set - I'd buy it! It's "Total Garbage"! :-D
  11. Thanks, you're right! I've since made a second attempt. Note: the 2 diameter radar dishes would be replaced with 3 diameter ones if I built this for real, but those pieces aren't yet available in LDD.
  12. Nice inside info! Is this just a one-off return of the Spamcast, or is it going to back on a regular basis?
  13. That's a really nice design, Wetwired. It stays faithful to the original but looks very modern at the same time. I particularly like the use of the jet pieces on the back, the rear mudguards and the design of the scanning arms. I also love the way you've placed it on the lunar landscape. I think I might try that with some of my own LDD creations.
  14. Nice work!

I have found that Lego Factory sets seem vastly overpriced compared to regular ones. I guess we're paying a premium for having Lego pick out the individual pieces for our models. Your rover design is a good one, but I wonder what it would look like if the colours were a little more consistent. Then again, with the limited parts available in Factory sometimes there's no choice on the colours!
  16. Your ship's a really neat shape, but I wonder how it would look in the original blue and grey colours?
  17. Inspired by the creations of others such as Wetwired, Xenologer and Kdog, I decided to try my hand at re-imagining a classic space set using Lego Digital designer. I used a lot of bricks outside the factory palette so unfortunately I can't upload and purchase my creation, but I'm pretty pleased with it. Here is the original: My version seats two, front view: Rear view, goes fast!
  18. I have this set and there's no freewheeling on in. The trigger locks the winch in place whenever it's not being pressed. This means you can pull the winch down in stages (which winds the spring), and also use the trigger to raise the winch in stages.
  19. Wheeeeeeeeeeee! Thanks Sinner for such a fun little contest to while away my Sunday afternoon. I loved the challenge of coming up with something exciting and sturdily built with just 27 pieces. It was real tough but I had a blast and I'm really pleased with the result (just posted it in the entry thread). It seems as if it's really caught people's imaginations, and I love the variety of the themes covered so far, from M-Tron to Spongebob! Fantastic! Woo! (Whizzes off to do laundry and clean the kitchen). X-D
  20. OK, entry on! Since I've been doing a lot of military mocs lately, I thought I'd show you an impulse set from Lego's new Military range, for really violent kids aged 5 - 12 years! 8-
  21. Wow, new pics! The Star Justice symbol on the front of the base. Cool-looking skeleton stormtrooper guys. Monstrous rough terrain wheeled vehicles. The more I see, the more I *wub* The words "snotty rock" conjure up many unpleasant imges in my mind... thanks Batbrick! :-DFOR JUSTICE!
  22. Hey Wetwired, I think your moc looks pretty sweet, and I'm tempted to give it a go in real bricks. It may take me a couple of weeks to put it together though. Email me the lxf if you want.
  23. Great idea for this thread Yoda. I got another for ya, my 7666 Hoth Rebel Base Mod. Can you add it to the list please? Thanks.
  24. Thanks! Have you actually built your own model out of real bricks yet? My "review" would be: It's a fun little craft to swoosh around and sturdy enough that bricks don't fly off when you do. It's also great fun to play with the landing gear which is very poseable - see my last picture when I've pushed the gear right up to simulate a hard landing.I see you've found my Flickr and added a comment already. I've added you as a contact. I'm still learning how to use Flickr... do you have to add someone as a "friend" in order for them to be able to add notes to your pics, or is it enough that they are a "contact"?
  25. Nice work Stealth Hunter! The helicopter-thingies remind me of this craft from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion:
