  1. There was multiple sticker call backs to more than just the dragon. Who knows what they have planned next but it will probably depend on how well these medieval sets continue to sell. I would put my money on a new Jousting set next if they continue with these. It's probably the next most marketable medieval set to a mass audience besides the recent ones they have already done as long as it's designed well. What they have planned next is any ones guess but what seems to be obvious is the Lion Knights castle has sold better than expected so they are continuing to release medieval sets so far. I think this new Medieval Town Square should sell well enough that we will likely see another set in the next year or two.
  2. So where are all these high res photos everyone keeps talking about or are you all calling the low res photos hi res photos?
  3. Where did you see these higher resolution photos?
  4. It might be a faucet part or something similar.
  5. I think it will be interesting to see some color swaps on this set. There is nothing stopping us from customizing it to our own personal tastes.
  6. I'm not sure why so many complaints about this set. It's not perfect but few sets are. I personally think it's a great set from what I can see. If you want more animals jump on PAB and get what you want. I remember there were people who didn't get the original MMV when it came out only to regret their decision when it was discounted and the value went up. We are getting 6 new minifigs out of 8 with 4 of those being new medieval civilian prints from what I can see. The castle community has been wining about lack of peasants for years. Now we have them! There also appears to be many new printed parts. They don't appear to be stickers. We get new tan lattice shutters in addition to the new black lattice shutters on the new Snow White set for building MOCs. If the design team included more animals the price would have had to increase or they would have had to make cuts like how many new torso prints were included in the set etc. I think many of those complaining need to take a 2nd look at it once it's released and we have higher resolution photos and proper marketing photos on the Lego website. Remember if sets like this don't sell well Lego with think twice about putting out any new medieval/castle themed sets in the future. Huge sales numbers matter! I will purchase at least one and maybe get a 2nd one to keep sealed as well as getting some extras of the figs on PAB eventually. Based on what I see so far I give this set a solid 9 out of 10 but will reserve my final critique until the hi res photos are out. This is definitely a day one purchase for me!
  7. I would be happy with another exclusive set along the lines of MMV or Kingdoms Joust even instead of another wave of 2014 castle sets if I had to choose. I also think another large exclusive pirate ship set in long over due. I would love to see a large detailed exclusive castle set more geared toward the AFOL crowd somewhere in the $250-$350 price range.
  8. I have a feeling we will probably see some photos of new Castle sets early next year in Jan or Feb.
  9. Why is it that there seems to be less minifigs with the large castle sets every time a new one comes out? Won't be long and you will only get a total of 3 minifigs with a large castle. I liked the good old days when you got 4 mounted knights and 8 other soldier minifigs! Looks like those days aren't coming back. I'm probably going to hold onto my money in hopes that they bring out another exclusive castle set similar to The Kingdoms Joust or MMV.
  10. I bought 2 of them when they first came out so I could combine them . This set is one of my favorite castle sets of all time! It would definitely be in my top 10 sets. They look great combined and even better if you set up a scene with the rest of the Kingdoms sets to compliment it.
  11. Since it was mentioned that there is no printing on some of the torsos I hope that the Lion Crest head is also preliminary and will change to something better for the final version since it is very unoriginal. The same lion crest has been used twice before once for the "Royal Knights" in 1995 and again for "Knights Kingdom I" in 2000. For TLG to simply change up the colors a bit does not make it original. There are plenty of lion crest ideas to get design inspiration from in the middle ages.
  12. I would suspect these are the end product since I have never seen any sets get changed at all from leaked preliminary images to the final release. The box art is more likely to be tweaked a bit if anything but I highly doubt even that. TLG seems to design and finalize most sets well in advance of there release to allow enough time for production etc.
  13. My thoughts Exactly.
  14. Yep I agree. I just watched the movie and there are 2 sets that portray scenes that are not in the first movie. Both Barrel Escape and Escape from Mirkwood Spiders are likely going to be in the first half of the 2nd Hobbit movie. This shows how far in advance TLG designs the sets before release. It's even more crazy that is still says "An Unexpected Journey" on the sets that are clearly going to be sets for "The Desolation of Smaug". The only set I bought so far in 79003 An Unexpected Gathering. That set seems to really be flying off store shelves right now it was very hard to find.
  15. I also agree. The last thing I want is for a castle theme in the same vain as Ninjago or Legends of Chima.
