    Thalion whispers to Brickington, "A friendly advice; if you address strangers, choose your words carefully and don't give away more information then needed." He moves away from knight and looks at the Bonaparte, "Tell us captain, have there been lots of incidents with robbers or pirates in these parts recently? If that is the case, we wont turn down an escort to Newharbour..." As they start walking Thalion turns and whispers to Sarge, "Don't offer all of our help so casually, without consulting us. I, for one, will not help the Bonapartes so easily, as I've seen what they are..." He remembered the end of the quest in the Hovels and shuddered.

    (Oh no, not them again...) Because of his run-in with the Bonapartes, Thalion stays in the back, behind Sarge and Brickington but speaks with a firm voice, "As my friends here already said, a while ago we ran into pirates sailing freely around these waters. Would you happen to know anything about that?"

    "I think that lead may and up being our business, and its worth following up. Lets head back to our ship and be on our way." Thalion goes back to their ship.

    "I am with you on that Aves. It would be best to enter the city as inconspicuously as we can, and try to maintain a low profile until we get to the bottom of this. I am sure others agree on that." Thalion turns, and looks at the party. "Lets get back on our ship, and continue." "You could be right sir Brickington. Still, we should investigate and find out why would they want to do that."

    "What is this about Newharbour, Aves?"

    OOC: You already got it, I updated the earlier post, but no matter, lets roleplay! Thalion takes the cutlass and hands it to Brickington, "Here you go. Hope it serves you well! Also you should take this..." Thalion hands him 10 gold from the chest they opened. He turns to Sarge, "As it was your idea to come here and search, I think you should have this." He hands Sarge a Mithril Shard. "Also, I think you should get this as well, as I think you could use it better then the rest of us." He tosses Sarge the Lucky Stone. He gives 20 gold to Alexander, and keeps 20 gold to himself. After the loot is distributed he opens up and reads captain's log...

    "Easy there my friend, we dont know if there are traps around. Lets be careful..."

    As the party enters the cargo hold, Thalion spots the chest and the rope. He turns and speaks to Sarge, "Sarge, would you mind trying to cut that rope before we attempt to open the chest? Everyone else, stay alert." OOC: It's OK, I edited the post with what I wanted to do in the start and gave cutlass to Brickington, I think he can put it to good use.

    Note to questers on #64: I know Heroica isn't always fair, but I wish to try and keep it as fair as possible. If only IC... That is why I asked Brickington to give away weapons he wont be using, and even out the distribution somewhat. Dont judge me too harshly...

    "You are very welcome." Thalion looked at the weapon for a moment, "Actually I think our knight here can use this sword as easily as Sarge." He looked at it some more, "With a bit of training, I think even I could wield it..." OOC: No offence, but I would rather give it to someone who will use it... So Brickington, if you take it, would you mind giving your other weapons to Sarge and Alexander (so they can sell them later as a way compensate them)?

    Thalion puts the cutlass in his backpack until someone express a wish for it (if no one wants it, I'll distribute it later) and leads the party onto the pirate ship to search it.

    "I dont mind, as soon as we finish here. Aves, what do you propose we do with their ship? Do we have time to indulge Sarge's lust for loot and search it while it is still close?" P.S. Thalion should have a nice, round, 20 power now that he is level 15...

    "Good job everyone! Sarge, didn't I tell you that if they attack we will throw them back into the sea?" Thalion asked with a smirk. With the loot dropped before them, Thalion picks it up and gives 15 gold to each hero and himself, Grand Potion to Sarge, Mead to Alexander, himself and Brickington. Finally he picks up a large cutlass and hands it to Brickington. Note to QM: Great work on the music theme, nice touch!

Battle Order: Alexander - Pirate Captain, back row Brickington - Pirate Captain, front row Thalion - Pirate Captain, darkness, back row Sarge - Grand Potion on self Sarge Pirate Captain, back row Note to QM: Alexander shouldn't have taken any damage last round since he has 5 defense.

    Thalion nods as he receives the scroll, "Thank you Sarge, we'll see if we can put this to good use. Everyone, get ready, we might get a bit of excitement before we get to Duplovia..." With that he readies his scepter, and gets an Amethyst out of his backpack.

    "If they are, and they attack us, we will throw them back into the sea."

    "We are not even sure they are pirates, and since we don't have a telescope we can't confirm. If they don't pose a threat to us, we should just leave them be."

    "Well... I cannot answer that, but I can tell you this, should the worst happen and they try to board, we will help you defend the ship!"

    "That would be all from me. Is there anything you would like to ask us?"

    "You have pretty much answered all the questions I had for now, so I will ask only this; when we get to your capital, who will give us our concrete assignment, be it following up a lead, protecting someone or whatever?"

    "Greetings Aves, I am Thalion Dwinlas. It seems that we are all here, so we can get going. I have a few questions, but as you said, those can be answered on our way to Duplovia." Stats look good!

    If you say so... I did read #47, but did not pay full attention; like any other quest Thalion is not on. I save my full attention for the quests he is on. Just keep in mind that Thalion will respond (if he senses someone jeopardizes safety of the party, mission or himself, shows cruelty to his fellow companions, selfishness etc.) and, if needed, descent into evil zone to do so...
