LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Bonaparte replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well, Sir Phred is right. Pritt is the best to glue a decal to a minifig. You can remove it later without any damage to the original torso. ON !!! -

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Bonaparte replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
This is certainly not a stupid question since nobody seem to have the answer 8-| Anyway, what you could do is resize one of the torso's (e.g. using paint) with trial and error until it fits a minifig. Then save this one and make all the rest the same size. How did you solve the problem? -
Port la Brique - check out the architecture on this one!
Bonaparte replied to gui45's topic in Pirate MOCs
This works perfect for a background *wub* It has lots of potential for being expanded to became a larger dock. The length is already Ok, all it need is some depth and this could become a marvelous little harbor or city. Brick-yellowing is a universal problem, we all have yellowed bricks. In this case it is still acceptable. You most certainly are a talented builder and I'm anxious to see more work from you! -

Moved to the "Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds" forum. -
This looks great Tony *wub* I can't wait to see more pictures when it is finished. Will it have an interior? If you make some good pictures once it is finished, there is a fair chance this could be headlined on www.classic-pirates.com!

I'll move this to the "LEGO Trains & Town" forum.

These new action pics look great. I hope to see more in the future. I finally got photoshop up-and-running on my PC today (after many attempts, registry cleaning, uninstalling stuff) . It was unhappy with a setting in my registry. Now I need to start learning how it all works (I normally use Paint Shop Pro)

Good idea. I would certainly like that and reuse on one of my future ships!

You've have based you design on a beautiful ship *wub* Like others said before, this is a fine MOC. I don't think the stern is too big when I compare it with picture of the Half Moon. I like how it looks with all the lovely details (like the blue birds). You are right about the crow nests. They are beautiful! Also the way the rigging is connected to the side of the ship is inventive. Did you already have plans to build this ship prior to the contest or was this really made specifically for the contest? Good idea creating a dedicated thread for your entry and I hope that the other contestants follow your example.

Some of these are very impressive! Because your post contains both your Bionicle and Spiderman Lego movies I've moved this to the "Your Own Creations" forum.

He replied me that the new hairpieces will be in his Bricklink inventory soon.
-
I've sent him an email to ask when these will become available. I definitely want some of those... they are so *wub*

I like these hair pieces a lot. Is he selling these or does anyone have more info. There is an email address in the BS-gallery, so contact with the creator is possible.

Here's my top 3: 1. Sir Dillon 2. Sinner 3. LuxorV Sir Dillon: Great ship design, good color schema... what a beautiful ship! Sinner: I've already seen the pics of this ship several times. I love the design but somehow I start thinking that another color would have been better. But still, without any doubt my number 2. LuxorV: Smart design, nice ship and good color combinations.

This ship has an interesting and rich history... it even participated in the battle of Trafalgar. It hurts my heart to read how it was destroyed. It deserved a more glorious ending. Shame on the British for destroying this great warship. Thanks for bringing this ship and it's history to our attention.

POLL: Pirate Halloween Contest Voting Begins HERE!!!
Bonaparte replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
Let me start by saying that this contest has produced some very high quality entries. It was not easy to make a choice, but this is how I voted: The Scariest Entry: TinyPiesRUs' haunted, ambush cave! Lots of skellies and great (scary) scenery. The Best Built Entry: Cap'n SlyOwl Very well build, great colors and some nice techniques used... very creative ! The Best Overall: ZeekyBoogeyDoog My love for ships took the upper hand. I just love this whaler. We see lots of military ships, so it's great to have a fantastic non military ship like this one. I like the colors (the white in combination with black works very well for this whaler). The entire ship is great (bow, stern, sides). The best overall in my opinion. -
Welcome to the best AFOL community on the internet MicVash. Have fun here !

I love reviews of older classic sets. Great job with your first one Piranha !!!

I suggest you buy Western sets. More pirates sets will be available for me to buy X-D

I enjoyed watching the pictures of this town display. The idea of the 2 worlds works well. My 2 favorite pictures are the ones of the big tunnel and the train transporting all those bikes. Do you have plans to expand this display in the future? And what have you been studying?

What a beautiful MOC! Good colors, nice scenery and some interesting details. And that bridge is awesome. Very creative design.
