  1. Happy New Year EB! He's referring to a different Fred.
  2. I can never bring myself to throw out boxes, or even the polybags the parts come in. Right now the smaller inside bigger method seems to be working very well. I also have the boxes inside garbage bags to keep them dry while they are in storage at my parents house. I suppose it's a little ironic that I store stuff I'm keeping in garbage bags..
  3. It would appear that my fears of Kingdoms being like Knight's Kingdom were unfounded. It seems these sets even have enough shields to go around to all the soldiers this time around!
  4. I got the throwbot Electro for my birthday in 1999 and it's still built to this day, so 10 years for me, which is a shock since I usually disassemble my sets after just a couple months.
  5. Not to much this year, picked up some decent deals though x2 x2 I think that's it, I'll add what I get for Christmas.
  6. -I'm majoring in Computer Science while at the same time I'm a Scout Leader, apparently it confuses people to hear of a Computer Science major that goes outside. -I'm Canadian, as such, I like bacon, hockey and maple syrup, however I cannot skate, so I played Curling instead of hockey while growing up. Je parles français assez pour communiquer. -I am rather fond of medieval history, as is evident by my fondness of the Castle theme. I'm also rather fond of Russian history, particularly stuff involving the Bolsheviks. -I'm a huge nerd, as such, I've run a DnD campaign in which all the minis were Lego figs from my collection/things I made for larger monsters. Sadly the larger things have all been dismantled for storage purposes. -I had a bit of a Dark Age for a few years, where I even bought Meg@bl0ks. Those figs cannot hold onto their weapons to save their lives... Seems good enough for now.
  7. When I was but a wee lad I collected Pokémon cards and had a decent coin collection going. I still have the remnants of that coin collection somewhere at home. Lately I've been looking at Nerf guns a lot (I never said I'd grown up, just that I wasn't small anymore...) and judging by what I've got in my dorm room, I've been collecting napkins apparently.
  8. I didn't really ask for anything this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see King's Battle Chariot, even more Dwarf Mine Defenders or possibly some battle packs or base plates/bulk buckets maybe, but I'm not expecting much, as is fairly evident by this list. It's nice to have absolutely no idea what I'm getting for once.
  9. That Apple Tree House looks awesome. I'm really happy about the blue baseplate since I've amassed plenty of boats but nothing to really put them on in any sort of set up.
  10. I'm most looking forward to the Native and the Forestman, since I don't have anything close to either and I have a rather noticeable shortage of longbows.
  11. Lately this set has been tempting me, despite that at first I did not like it. Really the only issue I have with it is the horse to chariot ratio, but I'm sure I can work out a way to make it work.
  12. I'm Nitro Muscle http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=8146-1 I'd have prefered something a little less Technic.
  13. Same river, further north, out of the smog.
  14. Apparently the same province.
  15. If I get a hold of a decent camera I'll try to post some sort of army set up, nothing to elaborate since I have most of my collection packed away. It wasn't originally, but about five minutes after I picked the name I was listening to the soundtrack and decided that's where it came from.
  16. Hello Eurobricks. I'm a Canadian, which means I never get the thrill of going to a Lego Store. I went through a bit of a Dark Age for Middle School/High School, but it started phasing out in my second last year of High School and ended for sure at the start of my last year of High School when I bought the larger fantasy era sets. I mostly stick to Castle as my dominant theme, but I've been known to make forays into Pirates as well as getting some Clone/Storm Troopers. Growing up I never really had many Castle sets, so I got lots of fun improvising up all sorts of weapons+soldiers out of more City like figs. Anyways, right now I'm in a university dorm so unfortunately most of my Lego is packed away back at home, but I do have some here with me, mostly Fantasy Era figs because I just love setting up armies, so if I do post a MOC chances are it will be a bunch of figs running around on some terrain I built.
  17. The only piece I've had missing so far was one of the bronze orc swords with the Troll Warship. I was impressed with how quickly the missing piece was sent.
  18. Most people think it's neat when it comes up, which with me is fairly common, since in my residence people go around to other peoples rooms a lot, and the bit of Lego I was able to bring with me is on display. The few times I've gone home I've actually played Lego with my dad. I've turned both my sisters into AFOLs, around this time of year I start advising that people buy Lego for their younger relatives that they need to shop for. My mom tends to look around back home for deals for me and sometimes picks up sets she knows I'd like. Most people I talk to have fond memories of Lego, since I spend a lot of time around Engineering and Computer Science students.
