  1. When I went to the Moncton TRU on Friday, they had not gotten any new stock for a couple weeks. However the Wal-Marts in Moncton still have a surprising number of the Minifigures left.. Just don't get your hopes up on finding a Forestman or a Tribal Hunter.
  2. 1. No, the sets themselves are quite nice. 2. I buy most of the castle lines except for if there is a set that I really don't like. Other lines I judge each set on it's own. 3. An elaborate temple or the Roman Colosseum. Something large and historical. 4. A medieval version of Town Plan. 5. Bring back bows of the non-cross variety! A Creator castle would be nice. Civilian castle sets would be nice.
  3. Are these better, worse or the same quality as the Dwarves Battle Pack figures? Since I haven't had any real issues with my Dwarves losing their equipment.
  4. 2 points to Ratshot's The burning of Washington 1 point to Capt. Stabbin's the Fall of the Alamo
  5. I got both Impulse sets at the TRU in Moncton a week ago, and also saw them at the TRU in Fredericton on Friday. I'd say if you don't see them yet you will within the next couple of days.
  6. Where did you get these numbers? If so, got a top ten or such? At the very least knowing what number 2 is would be nice.
  7. King's Battle Chariot, Medieval Market Village and Prison Carriage Rescue all have a horse but no saddle.
  8. Maybe TLG is updating the bow mould and just taking their sweet old time with getting it out? Since as much as I want more longbows, given that I only have three, the handle does wear down really easily.
  9. Just curious, you in the Pacific Coast Rover crew?
  10. I'd be absolutely ecstatic if Moncton got one, but I'm thinking that the closest store to the Maritimes will be one in Montreal. Still, not that bad if we get Montreal, it's at least considerably closer than Calgary.
  11. #1-Castle/Kingdoms. It just seems so natural to build a castle out of Lego. #2-Pirates. Who doesn't like pirates? #3-Star Wars. Clone/Storm troopers are just plain awesome and Jedi can be fun. Prince of Persia gets an honourable mention.
  12. Do we know for sure there isn't one coming to Toronto? Since all we've really found out is Calgary is getting one, I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto got one as well. Personally I'd really like one in Montreal as it's the closest city to me I could see realistically getting one since I'm in the Maritimes. Good news that Calgary's getting one though, means we should get more.
  13. 63? I'm just trying to picture how this would physically happen. A fleet of shopping carts to bring them all to the checkout, possibly needing store employees to push some of them, a call to the bank to let them know that no, your credit card has not been stolen and that you are the actual card holder, then needing to call up UPS to ship them to your house since you don't have room in your vehicle for all of them. Out of curiosity, how good was this sale?
  14. Nice review. The promo set has done it's promotion job well as now we've got final version pictures of the sets coming out, since the Toy Fair ones were a little messed up. I know I would not want one of these wagons coming at me.
  15. That helmet is beautiful.
  16. I actually intend to get this set off of Bricklink soon. I was beginning to enter my Dark Age (ie, Middle School) when KKII started, so I actually have very little KKII, Vladek encounter and the Jayko adventure book are all I've got. I intend to get this set because as far as big evil lairs go, it's got the best look for it. I see this set as the rose in the mud of KKII.
  17. I intend to get a few of these battle packs at least. I think they could be greatly improved by giving those crossbowmen longbows instead. I'll take it though. I suppose it's about time I gave knights maces.
  18. It looks nice. The outpost looks like it would hold up decently against that group of orcs if it weren't for the fact that the knights are all blind apparently. I like the ladder inside.
  19. I'm very open about it. Most people in my residence know about the Lego in my room and how it's usually the one island of neatness in the sea of chaos that is my room. Whenever I'm at the mall with other friends I always insist on stopping by Toys R Us, Wal-Mart or any other store I know has Lego. I really scare them when I walk into a new store and can sniff out the Lego section.
  20. I've done a couple orders and never had any issues with crushed/damaged boxes. They do cushion the boxes fairly well inside their larger boxes with what are essentially inflated plastic bags.
  21. I'm not surprised that target practice has apples, you can put them on the head of another fig and then get some of the really fun target practice. I prefer the battle wagon over the target practice set, simply because target practice has the wrong kind of bow for what I want. The wagon looks like one of those things that someone sends at an army to confuse them.
  22. Personally I really like the great helm. Diverse helmets works best with what I want from the Lions/Dragons. Crownies can be all uptight with their matching troops (Though not enough shields for all of them...), but for dragons I want some randomness in their ranks.
  23. I don't mind the new skellies, I find my little undead death squad amusing. However, I want some more of the older skellies as I find they make great decorations for evil lairs/badlands. The new skellies do sort of work for this as well, but the old ones are more convincing as dead guys. Really depends on what you want them for. If you don't really know I'd honnestly recommend the new ones because they can fulfill the other kinds function better.
  24. This thread has made me paranoid about most of my collection in storage back home. I know we have mice around our house, and though the dog does a good job on eating some of them (so much so that we scaled back her meals to stop her getting fat), the cats are useless. If mice were to get in the house they'd be a nightmare for my Lego. So far I've been lucky and the worst have been spiders and more bizarrely bees. A lot of bees actually. I've gotten quite effective at capturing and releasing them alive.
  25. That Princess does not want to be seen. Good to get some nice pics of the greathelm though.
