Santa Fe 549 GE B40 8W

I was thinking the same thing but the model taken as reference was seven 7 wide so I realized (like you) than Dan-147 was talking about wheels! -
Santa Fe 549 GE B40 8W Hello everyone, after finding the gorgeous model realized by Daniel Aubin (known as Dan-147) on railbricks I wanted to make my version 6 studs wide to use the windscreen and the front sticker of my second set 10020 just intended for the construction of the B unit of Santa Fe Super Chief! Now the two locomotives form a pair and they enrich my collection of American trains. Credits go to Dan-147 also for its gondola wagon that I wanted to combine with two flat wagons to complete the convoy. The locomotive, for my first time, is controlled by the amazing Sbrick that can be placed deep inside the structure of the MOC without create any receiving trouble. The customization of the command was another fun aspect as the possibility to control the lights with two different buttons. The stickers are customized and I think they provide a touch of realism to this beautiful locomotive. Enjoy the pictures! See you with my next locomotive!

Absolutely not taken! My locomotive is just a replica of the original that I consider the best! My version was also my first attempt to create a train MOC and a genesis for my fleet of locomotives!
-
The differences are explained in the forum: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56925 1) My locomotive have a 6x6 front dish (I think it fits perfectly with the boiler and I need it for the central led) but the original have a different size (4x4 dish) 2) The boiler is completely round where possible but you can't see the gap between the boliler and the main body to see the wheels beneath that 3) The coupling system is different, maybe more flexible but less technic: I haven't two pivot points 4) My tender is 7 studs wide and the boogies are quite different. I've choosen this solution to reduce the gap from my wagons with 6 standard studs.

Thank you all for the kind words! I'm happy to share an easy project that could be replicated! -
Oh no, not again Daedalus! My model is a 6 studs wide version of the Ge B40 ...and like Daedalus I'm waiting for the stickers!
-
Thanks THERIZE you're too kind! Octan minfigs arrested on-site for protesting? This sounds funny No the real reason for the handcuffs is just a joke ...but I like to imagine a fight between the two brand, and Shell remeber me when a was a child with my first Shell Lego set n 690.

Simply gorgeous! :wub_drool: -
Cargo Crane Hello everyone, after seeing the Lego set 60052 from reality, during a Lego event, I was amazed by the potential of this train stuff! This new crane is able to handle the 6 studs wide containers not unloadable with the old crane set 4555. Unsatisfied about the size of the original model: too low, not wide enough and with a short operational range, I've made my personal enhanced version! That's all!

This is the best version of Hogwarts Express I've ever seen! I really like the steel spoked wheels! The internal details look very nice!
