  1. Thanks, I'm currently designing the sign for CITY Tyres, had to pinch parts from my police and fire stations to start on the tyre place....at least I have my forest police station intact.
  2. Thanks 'MadMan', the 1950's street is still a go'er, but costings at the moment I had to halt it's development. Where as this new sidebar project I have most of the parts in stock. The next one is really under way, tyre changing machine is complete in it.....posting it once finished.
  3. Yeah, must be cordless. I'm wondering when the mining sets are due to be released, as in Oz Kmart in June gets a big bite of the cherry...first one with them at least in Oz, but else where ?
  4. Thanks, I decided to keep some of detailing as per a regular Lego City set. Though the tyre place, I'll need to get more radical with equipment since it's for trucks and heavy machinery.
  5. Sort of, I built it up in front of a friend of mine who was a motor mechanic once (back problems got him out of that job) and he guess grease gun without our Fonzie look-a-like ! Work is under way on the tyre place right now.
  6. Bingo, you got it first shot 'Churchill'. I seem to have a knack for making small to medium sized minifig scale tools and machinery, oh....now what can I come up with the tyre and battery place eh ?
  7. I posted this morning I would be coming out with some new creations to fit Lego City better. Since many of the new trucks and vans release in 2012 have the logo CITY on their grilles and bodywork, then I though CITY Motors would make a great sub-theme. First MOC is called CITY Bearings. First thing you will see it's based on something from Lego City in 2009....guess what ? Now a home truth, the drive belts hanging up there are NOT Lego ones, but 25x1mm belts I use in fixing DVD players (couldn't get any more Lego ones at the moment). The red boxes on the shelf are bearing kits, but what do you think are those white/red tubes and that device on the bottom shelf ? Closer look at that object. Next will be a tyre and battery fitting bay linked to this building....comments, suggestions and questions welcome. Keep watching !
  8. Now that is more of pain than a problem, I use window cleaner and some toothpaste....true it does work, don't forget to wash off the toothpaste.
  9. Totally AWESOME 'andybear', such a cool bus and fully detailed too ! But what need now is the characters from 'On The Buses' especially this guy... How about next a black London Cab from the 1950's as well.....just challenging you ? Again I'll say AWESOME work 'andybear' and Brick On !
  10. I don't mind how many times I'm asked, photo sticker page....size 4"x6" and gloss too ! A good ink jet printer and down load images off the net, then edit them in MS Paint.....also practice, practice makes perfect. Actually it has taken me three years to get to this level of designing stickers. I hope that answers your question.
  11. I'm a little shocked to say I have 8 votes for this so far, shocked that an old design of mine can get at least that many. For those who are not fans of over stickering, I'm planning a series of City branded designs.....actually the branding is CITY. City motors who bring us the range of trucks this year, they do everything to do with trucks and heavy engineering so keep watching for the first MOC coming real soon. In any case you can still vote for any of my creations on Cuusoo if you wish, so City can expand from a fire/police state into a true city !
  12. Nice review 'WideWiiLover' and how lucky can you get, they gave you one for free ? I wonder if they'll send one to Oz ? A wonder classic town feel set, back towards the end of getting regular releases of houses for your town.....only a small glazier's truck would have completed it for me.
  13. Nice start, though that purple Knight Bus window is a bit out of place eh ? How tall will this house be ? Will it have an interior with furniture ? Keep going 'Ludzik' and Brick On !
  14. I must say that little polybag set looks cute and a very handy parts pack at that. Just noticed in the mine set something not very OHS.....a yellow door right underneath where the ore pours out into a tipper truck, you don't want to walk out at the wrong time and a mistake is make and you get dumped on. Though it's funny, they have no shovels but just pick axes and dynamite....again OHS problems. No wonder the other set this year is a hospital with evac copter ! Edit - I stand corrected, one shovel with a jack hammer (no compressor though).
  15. AWESOME mash-up 'Oky' ! The best one must be 'Jarjarpool' ! But where is one for Robin.....maybe a Padme costume ?
  16. Need a phone box..... Or petrol pumps...... I might coming up with even more Lego City-ish street stuff shortly.
  17. I rarely visit the Technic pages, but glad I did.....mind blowing AWESOME piece of engineering ! Makes any of my add-on's of Technic into my town creations look totally second rate. Again I'll say AWESOME work ' steph77 ' and congrats on being front-paged too.
  18. It appears that the larger Friend's sets sell well, but the smaller one's appear to be only moving now. I'll speak up, I have a few Friend's sets in a box built up ready so when my Great-Niece's visit me they have something to play with (they are all under 4 years of age). No sign of any of the Marvel sets yet, timing better be right for film coming out.
  19. Another wonderful creation from you ' Steinkopf ' ! Detailing is one of your talents. Keep them coming ' Steinkopf ' and Brick On !
  20. The tanks are the best things in this collection 'TenorPenny'.....Brick On Fight On !
  21. Thanks 'Aanchir' for these images, furniture....might be okay for minifigs too right ? Nice stables.....Saddle Club fans will go nuts over it !
  22. Nice B wing, though your Y wing needs either cropping the sides or stretching lengthwise....looks odd. Looks like we have a budding 'Legostein' understudy eh ? Great work 'konze' !
  23. Runway is still a little too short.....your airport would end up on Air Crash Investigation ! I hate to say it but twice the distance would be a minimum even if you use the older classic town planes.....unless they all have VTOL engines.
  24. The glider set looks thrown together, new hubs on the trailer and typical unrealistic hubs on the car ! Pity there isn't a tow plane ? Edit - the wings appear not come off so easy ? I consider this set a poor design.
  25. Now that's one alien mothership 'caperberry', great work combining all those sets into that. Brick On 'caperberry' while fighting off aliens.
