Reviews: 8917 Kalmah, 8918 Carapar & 8920 Ehlek
Shakar replied to dillthepill's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Good reviews, and good pics. My judgment pretty much remains the same, I think Ehlek is fine without armour and that he has good weapons, colours and face, Carapar looks good and also has good colours, head and weapons, and Kalmah is my least favourite. Sure, he's cool and I like his tentacles (I'm happy that they're flexible), but the body SUCKS. I mean, a reverted Piraka body? Are you kidding me Lego? From the back it's ok, but on the front I see a Toa Metru hip piece (correct me if I'm wrong) and the hand piece that serves as neck, which are totally exposed. Then, he's red, and I have a passionate hate for red guys, what can I say, it's Toa Vakama's fault... ;-) Oh, and I still don't like the squid launcher. And, does anybody notice that on the back of the can Carapar is yellow, instead of yellow-gold-black? Thanks anyway. :-) Shakar -
Finally, after wierd swords, wierd helmets and wierd colours, they did so many things that I love! This includes: -Metallic OLD swords -Metallic cone helmets -Metallic POINTED visors -Return of the king's greatsword -Skeleton army -Skeleton horse -Skeleton shield (both circular and ovoid!) -Morning star. I actually like the zombie-like heads of the other pic, I can give to the skeletons the evil skull face, so I have spares of them to use for something other. Still....I can finally make a huge skeleton army! Shakar

Eragon. Bah, bad story. If they followed the storyline of the book, the true story, it would have been much better. Shakar

Yes, in the episode of the first series, where it's his birthday (I think it's "Chitty Chitty Death Bang") , he says "Stewart Gilligan Griffin runs from NOTHING! " . Oh, and it's Stewart, not Stuart.Shakar

He's right, since his real name is Stuart Gilligan Griffin. ;-) The future ruler of the Earth

Hello to everybody, I'm Shakar (my Bionicle self). I like Bionicle and Castle. I'm pretty decent at MOCing and I love creating various minifigs. Shakar

I wish Lego still made sets like this. The black knight is unique, with the black feather and the white flag (I really want some of those). With a Black Falcon soldier (always cool) and a little building (probably for joust, like someone said), it's a perfect litlle set. Oh, and I love the minifigs' comments. :-D Shakar

I don't own the other ones, but I will go for Mythical Creatures. That dragon is WONDERFUL...best Lego dragon and best Lego creature ever. Shakar

Merry Christmas to all! :-) Shakar

Overall, I'd say that I like the Barraki. My favourite's probably Pridak, and no, I don't care about the red on his mouth and on his sword. It adds colour, I don't see it as blood. I also like Takadox very much, for his colours (except the red spikes), his horrific, awesome face and his mantis appearence (I really like mantises). After those two I like Mantax, simply because he looks great, Carapar has a pretty good colour scheme and looks cool, regarding Ehlek and Kalmah I'm not too interested with them, but since I don't like having an incomplete collection, I'm going to buy them. By the way, anybody knows how much will they cost? Shakar

Well, they left 2001 alone. They just used the weapons (which look very different from the toy form) from the Toa Olda, Metru and Inika. What's so terrible about it? It's great having three different weapons for each Toa! Graphics are great. Enemies are well done (although I don't see Vezon and Fenrakk, maybe they're the final boss so they didn't show them), so are the Toa. I'm looking foward to this game. Shakar

Hi guys! I'm been out of the loop lately, since I have very few access to Internet. So far, the 2007 sets look nice. Mataran are so so, but the yellow Kiril and the dark green Kualsi make them must buy. The two small Rahi are pretty good too. The Barraki pics aren't the best, but they look like good sets. I still can't pick a favourite, I'll judge them better when I'll see better pics. Also, I don't know much about this debate. But now that I see it's over, I guess there's no reeason to talk about it again. Shakar

Bridge Walker vs White Lightning now on Amazon!
Shakar replied to dillthepill's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I'm not surprised. I saw this at my local toy store about a month ago, that's the first time I see a set in an Italian store EARLY! Sorry guys for not having told you this before, but I hadn't access to Internet in the last period. Oh, It was 50 Euro, good price. And the box is huge. Shakar -
I got this as a birthday gift, about a month ago. My dad asked to me "Do you want to go to the toy store, to buy a Lego set for you birthday?" Of course, I said yes, hoping to find the KK Rogue Knight Battleship. But it wasn't there, so I chose this set. When I came to home, I realized that it was far better than that ship. I built some small models of level 1 and 2, then I built the Triceratops. When I finished it, I was like...wow. It's big, sturdy, and complex, and just looks awesome, very well worth the 24.20 Euro I dad (:-$) payed for. My only possible gripes are: 1)The special connections used between each of the 3 parts of the body, while are useful to put the big guy in more poses, leave small but ugly spaces from the sides. I think that Lego should have made special rubber pieces to cover them, or it should have made the body one big piece. 2)Why is it red? The set was made like that to go along the T Rex set, so I ask: how could a dinosaur be red? Is it without skin or what? That being said, I like how Lego combined and distributed well red, dark red and tan into the various models (which are also good, but not as good as the Triceratops ;-) ) , I like how the three colours look together. First Aqua Raiders and City pics on Amazon.de

My first reaction is positive. I'm liking this line. I'll be sure to buy the smallest set, it's cheap and cool. I'll think later about the other 2. Shakar -
8100 Cyclone Defender: Not bad, I like the use of Bionicle ball joints. Dark green works great, and I'm pleased there are two black katana here. 8101 Claw Crusher: Definately good looking, I like the huge claw. 8102 Blade Titan: It's pretty good. Nothing excites me, however the white (or silver?) and dark red Takanuva blades are interesting... 8103 Sky Guardian: Great colour scheme and nice wings. Not too thrilled of the use of the Zamor launcher outside Bionicle tough, and the wole set isn't attractive enough to be bought, at least for now. 8104 Shadow Crawler: Best of the lot. Great colours and constrution, and I'm loving the hidden skeleton. 8105 Iron Condor: Pretty good. Wings could be better. Shakar

Oh, cool. Very cool. Kalmah with his tentacles excites me. Alot. Bionicle tentacles at last. :'-) Shakar

The whole thing is extremely lame (And I hate rock and all the modern music, too, with some exceptions) , but the website and games are nice (if only my computer had the right graphic card to play with Bionicle Heroes demo...). Shakar

Buy it. You won't be disappointed. Shakar

I knew that, I was just pointing out it, since I heard of others on BZP who had the same problem.Apparently, it's not the blade since I tried with other four ones. It's the black Toa Olda arm. Shakar

That's bad. Could it be glue? Have you tried with a glue solvent? I really hope those splotches go away, they look so unprofessional. :-/ Shakar

Dirt? There is a little glue peeking out from the seam Here's what I'm talking about: Yes, sometimes I'm rather perfectionist. ;-) Shakar
