  1. I might get it out tonight and have another play with the front. My first version did have white 1x3 doors, but with the rest of the model in gray, the doors didn't look 'right'. Maybe I should add some dark gray doors to my brinklink wishlist?
  2. Very nice! I'm working on something with the same color scheme. One detail I really like is the clock and it's SNOT arches.
  3. Very nice. Great fridge and interior detail!
  4. Great MOC's. I find Cafe Corner and the like slightly over the top on detail, but this is just perfect, really, really nice. I might steal some interior ideas from you for my current WIP. <edit, for atrocious spelling mistakes>
  5. Thanks for the kind words everyone! I'm still not happy with the front of this car, it looks a little plain. The back end I like though. Milan, I would love to do one in red, but I only have the part that creates the curve over the engine and the front wheels in dark grey . . . And I'm going to work on my photography too! Ben
  6. Both BEAUTIFUL MOC's. I really love the truck.
  7. Hello! I'm also very new here. Welcome to EB.
  8. They would have to be pretty tidy as they will be on the front wall of a MOC I'm making. light scratches would be ok as long as they aren't discolored or heavily marked. Thanks!
  9. Great scott! I've always had a LOT of respect for people who succesfully build stuff that can transform. Very nice!
  10. The Pirates II Minifig complete with weapon cache has been sent to Natman 8000! Thanks all for your warm welcome.
  11. Personally, I think the car is a little blocky, maybe it could be rounded off a little over the front and rear headlights? On the positive side, the second set of wheels is much better, and I really like your building(s) in the background, nice detail without being so over the top. Almost a crash between Modular and Lego City, which is my kind of building! benny
  12. That's pretty unlikely . . . Last ones we had were the Shell impulse sets about 10/12 years ago. My Dad took me out once a week and brought me each set.
  13. Hey Kiwi guys/girls, I'm after a few white arches, and no NZ bricklink sellers have them. Does anyone have any of these? I only need 2 but wouldn't say no to four, I'm quite happy to pay cash or trade for other parts. Thanks! Ben
  14. Very nice. A lot of detail crammed in there!
  15. I'm planning to use one of these on my 16x16. They are from the orient series, but would also suit post apoc.
  16. There are plenty available in the EU for around 12 cents a brick. A seller named German Brick Circus has 270 in stock at 10 US cents each. Another German outfit called House of Bricks has 200 at 10.6 cents each. Both of which seem good prices to me, as the bricklink average price is 15 cents. Hope this helps Ben
  17. V-LV-45F The kind of vehicle that makes a middle aged man feel young again. Ah, there's nothing like the feel of wind through your topee! Profile: Front: And the big engine: Car and driver: Hope you like it, Ben
  18. I love that one, the King Kong is great!
  19. I like them, but they seem a little squat. Maybe you should make them 20% taller?
  20. I've never tried to build a Apocalypitc moc, but I'd sure like to try! Can I have a 16x16 square? Not worried about which one. Thinking of building a run down bar for lost souls to gather . . . Ben
  21. I'm in! I have two sherrif's lock ups and a wagon, some of my favourite sets ever.
  22. Hi there kiwis!!! I've recently brought some stuff off Gelo's store on bricklink. Last batch of stuff was just under 400 pieces for $55. She's great to deal with and has LOTs of stock. Also, Welly guys, I've found Moore Wilson's to have a good selection of Lego at good prices. Recently brount a Pirates Kraken Attacken from there for $16, it was $19 at the Warehouse. Not a huge saving, but still worth while. Ben
  23. I'll have 10 posts very soon, don't you worry! Pirate will be a stardard 2009 pirate fig with a cutlass or blunderbuss. Cyborg is something silly I made the other day, a blue minifig body with robotic arms and head. Haven't made legs yet, but I'll try to come up with something interesting.
  24. Natman 8000, congratulations! PM or email me and I'll send you a fig! I can do town, pirates or a cyborg, up to you. Superintendent Harry 'Snapper' Organs is a character voiced by Terry Jones in the Monty Python sketch 'Piranha Brothers', and he's my favourite character from my favourite ever Monty Python episode.
  25. Well, not quite. But I do live in New Zealand which is a long, long way south. My name is Ben Brunskill, I'm 23 years old. I've had a fairly long dark age(s) but I'm really trying to get back into Lego. One reason is my two year old son. He's a bit young now, but I want to play and build with him when he is older. One other reason is there is now some Bricklink sellers based in NZ, which means I can get Lego parts much cheaper, and without huge shipping charges. (yay!) I'm married, and have a litany of other hobbies, including electronics, sound engineering, and playing the guitar, bass, drums, and piano. Just to make this interesting, I'll send a free Minifig to the first person who can tell me who the orginal Harry ' Snapper' Organs was, and who voiced the character. Ben 'harrysnapperorgans' Brunskill
