Show me the stash of stuff that is just sitting around waiting to get finished, disassembled, displayed, organized, etc. Anything that hasn't meet their final resting place yet. I'll start..... Untitled by Pugsly14, on Flickr Untitled by Pugsly14, on Flickr

oops my fault, i just looked at mine now and saw i was wrong, the figure above with the 2x4 plate is what i have on mine also.
-
no you did not do it right, the 1x1 round tile needs to be rotated 90 degrees to the right so it is next to the gray technic piece.

Beautiful!!!!!!!

Well, for parts that are not in the "usual" collections (and i mean that loosely) you'll probably need: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6215 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30357 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4022 OR http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=64424c01 This is the hardest part but ciuld easily do it in black for MUCH cheaper: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2878c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4532 Besides the usual 1x bricks and 1x plates etc i guess you could build this for maybe around $75 maybe even less, i'm guessing (if you had to buy ALL the parts.) As there are no Doors in New Lite Grey I had to brick build them, I'm not 100% sold on them yet. The roofs are removable and am still deciding which is better, the one with these or these . I'm liking the second one better with the smooth roofs. These are based on James Mathis designs. The rear observation car is my fantasy car as i know there was never any built like that, I just REALLY like the Observation car and wanted to add it to the EL Capitan train. I have made 5 cars so far, the one without a door is my design. These have been in the process since Xmas.

Pugsly replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Very nice review!!!!!! You are one lucky guy. I'm jealous. -
What about Maersk Blue? There are 2 sets (and hopefully more ) with that color. Or did I miss something?

Something just doesn't seem right in this picture......... the dock extending out is unlevel (or an optical illusion) needs something under the black 2x's to level it out.

Well, this is the scale I went with, I simply based it off the 1x4x3 windows and built around that. LDDScreenShot4 by Pugsly14, on Flickr

Exclusive Train 10219 Maersk Train (Exclusive 2011)
Pugsly replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Maybe its the quality of the pictures, but it ALMOST looks like that gray is old light gray? i have been trying to compare it to ther things in the video. Also the split bases on the container are very nice addidition. Whether its old gray or bley it'll make a nice addition to the Mathis El Capitan models I am working on.- 379 replies

This takes its inspiration and design from the Sante Fe set 10020. Being a Chicagoan, I love the C&NW livery. I also give props to the brickself galleries I browsed (sorry can't find the specific ones) for further inspiration. I have all the parts (mostly) to build this engine in the coming days and also have already built 3 double decker commuter coaches.

i got back into Lego trains just at the switch from 9V to R/C. I have been buying 9V track on ebay, but have bought maybe 8 sets of plastic track from Lego direct. I usually run 2 separate loops, a 9v and a PF. occasionally if i want to run a longer 9v train, i do the brass tape trick on the Pf track and it works perfectly. I did do some where in did each track separately so the brass touches each other at the track ends, but mostly run a long piece from end to end of all the pf track pieces. Never ran into loss of power either way. 9V track on ebay and BL is expensive, well the straight pieces are. i usually buy sets with missing pieces or extra track cause i get the track 9V motor, and baseplates cheap that way. just yesterday i bought railway express 4561 with 10 straights 16 curves and all the other pieces for $75!!!!!!! The last one i bought like that i paid $110 for (but it did have more straights a 2 switches)

Digital Tablet reader to view instructions
Pugsly replied to happymark's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Works just fine, just like it does on a computer. That is what i do. Also the ipad works great when i find a nice picture of a model i want to replicate. the screen is bright and the battery last forever.
