DLuders replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@ Ishc-viss-j: In the model I built using Zblj's LDD building instructions, I used one 9244 "Technic, Universal Joint 4L" (4-studs-long, shown in the first picture below) and one 61903 "Technic, Universal Joint 3L" (3-studs-long, second picture below) to make the rear driveshaft fit: -

Nice tractor! I agree with Finntech -- the rear wheels could be a little bit larger and the rear fender set higher: -
LDD 4.2.5 is out
DLuders replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@ AR: I opened LDD just now, and it's still the LDD 4.2.5 with Brick Version 604.1 (from the update that occurred on January 26, 2012). How long has it been since you last used LDD? -
City SUV + INSTRUCTIONS
DLuders replied to barti673's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, I clicked on your first hyperlink, but all I got was an empty adf.ly "Please Wait...." screen that lasted for 5 minutes.... The SUV looks a bit like a Fiat Topolino: -

Rage
DLuders replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I wonder how the "Rage" motorcycle would look with the wild "Poiple" wheels used on the upcoming 6231 Lego Hero Factory "Speeda Demon" set (photographed by BS01 Cholie at the recent New York Toy Fair 2012): -
[bUMP] For those who missed NK's Supercar ("An AWD double wishbone suspension convertible supercar with special doors Sets used - 1 x 8458 Silver Champion and 1x 8466 Offroader"), I uploaded a copy of the 35.8-MB PDF Building Instructions onto SkyDrive (since the Rapidshare link above is no good anymore, and MegaUpload is dead).

DLuders replied to Alasdair Ryan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey Alasdair, when are you going to finish this MOC's Building Instructions? I thought you were "Faster than a posting DLuders".... -
@ Meatman: Sheepo has several gearboxes (with Building Instructions) on Sheepo's Garage Download page. On this post, Jurgen Krooshoop asked, "Can you tell me how to convert a SR3D file into an MLCad-file ? I didn't find an Export as .MPD file in SR3D. If I know how to convert the files, I can make MLCad instructions from your SR3D files for you if you like." To which Sheepo replied, "Hi Jurgen, thanks for your help!!! Convert it is very easy, you only need change the SR3D extension .L3B to .LDR, and you will can open it with MLcad and LDview ;)" The 5th-Generation Ford Mustang (mentioned by Sheepo above) looks like this -- the MPS is good for "pony cars" as well as Supercars:

My Second MOC: Red Cabriolet
DLuders replied to Lipko's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There's a lot of functionality built into this cabriolet (19 photos on szecs' Brickshelf gallery): -
We're getting a bit off-topic now, but if you look at the Comments on the first article in this TechnicBRICKS sequence (all describing the upcoming 9396 Helicopter set), Mark Bellis wrote: "It's doubtful there's cyclic pitch change. I think it's one of the first things some of us will try once we've built the set. The loss of the flex system and the 8856 swash plate parts has hindered this. I wonder how much more it would have cost TLG to include it. At least one prototype would have included it if the model builders were trying!" In the second TechnicBRICKS article linked above, Fernando Correia wrote: "While the Collective Control seems almost granted (all blades seem to be at the same pitch in the pictures), the existence of a kind of swash plate for Cyclic Control seems a lot less probable (I'm crossing my fingers...)."

Sure, I'd like your LDD .lxf file! -
@ Lost_In_Noise: Before you post any more pictures, be aware that the maximum picture size on Eurobricks is (nominally) 800 x 600 pixels. Your images above are huge. Try resizing your BIG pictures by using the image "resizing" program that Sariel uses: http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ , which "resizes whole folders of files in just few clicks." Then, you can upload the resized (smaller) images to Brickshelf and link it here immediately using the "Deeplink" method outlined here. By "deeplinking", we can see your picture(s) immediately (without having to wait ~2 days for the Brickshelf moderator to make them "public".
