Last year I built a LATT/I in June, and that was a start to a much bigger project. Along the LATT/I I built a walker trio which are also going to be part of the final MOC. Unlike my Raxus Prime preview MOC I decided to show, IMO, the one of the least exciting portions of the final dio. I'm aiming to have this dio done by April, so be sure to keep an eye out for it! I tried that but it was to small, and 4x4 dishes are to large. The only other solution I could think of is cut flex tube, but I rather BL some than use my supply at hand. Thanks for the blog! @-Thanks for all the great C@C everyone. I'll continue to work on this MOC over time and I'll be sure to post update when I do.

It's been a little while since I've posted a MOC, but I finally found some time to photograph my Tie Fighter. This was a tricky build, not only cause I mainly build mecha & dios, but because the from the start I wanted to make a brick built cockpit. After tinkering with some droid arms and flex tubing I finally came up with a solution. After that I built some snot wings which used multiple headlight bricks to create the hexagonal shape, and then connected the two. There are more pics in the gallery. Gallery

[system Update]: All systems critical, completer melt down in two minutes Incoming Transmission: LAAT/i ETA 30 seconds Outgoing Transmission: Hurry we have one down, another wounded, and two minutes until this place is dust For the final chapter of my droid factory series I really wanted to try something new with the walls. Inverting a lot them. Nearly all of the lower wall is inside out, and utilizes odd pieces, specifically trash cans. Gallery

Thanks! I agree, the transition doesn't sit well with me either. Someday I'll figure out a better solution. Thanks! As I said above, I totally agree the nose doesn't work, and any ideas would be very much appreciated! Thanks! In the inner structure there is a hinge which holds to cockpit in place, and other hinges hold the curved slopes running down the side.

Main post updated! The height is now 2 bricks shorter and more to scale with the EP.II version. I still want to fix some things, such as the nose, but for now I'm happy with the end result. @-Thanks for the great C@C everyone!

For my latest MOC I decided to take on the most iconic PT vehicle, the Republic Gunship. From the start I knew I wanted it to have some play features, so the proportions (mainly the height) are a tad inaccurate as of now, but I plan on improving it in the future! I also plan on trying some color variations, and adding bubble turrets. That's it for now, and C@C is welcome as always! More on Flickr.

The SW ROTS Incredible Cross-Sections book, and SW ROTS. There was never a full mecha, I was just fiddling around with leg joints, and it evolved into this. @-Thanks for the great C@C everyone!

After a couple of days of fiddling around with a mecha design, it started to look more and more like Grievous's wheel bike, so with some heavy modifications here it is. C@C is welcome as always!

The rules say you can create a character, so I decided to use my SWU sigfig, which falls into the bounty hunter category. There is one shadow trooper torso, but I see your point. I thought it would be fun to step outside of what is usually seen in the SW universe. Hopefully it'll pay off when it comes down to voting. @-Thanks for the great comment everyone!

Last year I made an Exo-Suit, so I thought with EB's current contest it would be a great chance to revisit it. First I wanted it to look sharper and darker than MKI. After a couple days of building here's the end result. How fast can a Jawa run? I guess not fast enough! The MKI.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! Thanks, and of course! There are plenty more in the gallery (25 I believe). Thanks! Yes, it took a ton of time. I started in October, so on and off for 6 months, making this project my most time consuming. Luckily I had most the pieces, because this ended up using the little amount of old grey I have. The only pieces I needed to buy specifically for the project were the trans green tiles/plates.

On Raxus Prime a squad of clones are sent to the surface to investigate a distress beacon. On the way to the site they were ambushed by a rodian rebels. Who will be the ones to survive? Gallery.

For my first sculpture, I though I'd go for something simple, a heart. I had good time building this, it was a nice break from SW dio's. The build time was about 45 minutes, and completely free style.

[Review] 7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship
501st Commando replied to 501st Commando's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Done, and done. I also added nicer pictures of the figs. If you pull the tail back the wings flip into a horizontal position, and the cockpit has some compartments. Pretty nice functions in my opinion. -
Set name- Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship Set number- 7930 Release year- January 2011 Price- $49.99 USD Parts- 389 Minifigs- Sugi, Assassin Droid, Embo, and Aurra Sing The front of the box. Back of the box. Contents The DSS! Bag 1 contents. Whoo, for new pieces! Bag 2 contents. Random page. Bag 3 contents. Now for the figures. *There will be better pictures later* Front. Nicer pictures. Done! Extras. Design 7/10 - I've never seen this ship, but after looking it up, it has the general shape and colors. Playability 8/10 - Opening cockpit, side doors, and hidden crate. Nice VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) mechanism too. Build 6/10 - It's a fairly strait forward build with no new techniques, but it's not repetitive, so that boosts the score a bit. Minifigs 8/10 - Embo and Aurra steal the show for this set. Aurra's head piece is very stable, and is made out of the ABS plastic we all love. The assassin droid and Sugi are fairly boring figures compared to the others, but are very much welcomed to my collection. Pieces 8/10 - Wonderful pieces all around. There are lots of dk. green pieces, that make this set an awesome parts pack. The new 1x4 dk. bley plate with 2 studs is another interesting piece as well. Price 5/10 - 111 pieces below what equals $50. Since it's SW though, it gets an average score, since all (SW) sets seem to lack a decent price for piece ratio. Overall 42/60 - It's an average set, but the figures make this set shine. I have no idea what it is, but I know it will have some shelf life. Now it's time for it to collect some dust.

Hmmm, he'll use the force. Most likely, no. I've been trying to focus my building time on my Raxus Prime WIP. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!

"Twas the night before Christmas, Yoda was in flight, with his Taun-Taun's through the cold night." A build to get into the holiday spirit.

It's my own design. I may bulk up the weapons in the future, but I've decided to leave the base of this MOC alone. The feet and legs were a tricky one for me, and I've spent so much time on them, I'd rather keep them as is. The weapons are still open to change though. Here you go. I still have to take pics of the upgraded weapons seen in the first post though, for this MOC. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!

Well, my first MOC in about a month, and it took about 2 weeks alone. Anyways, as for the build, I really wanted to use sand blue. Since it's a very limited color, I had many complications keeping it balanced in the MOC. Another road block was being able to support the head, but luckily some CW pistols held the legs into a position, so it could balance. I really wanted a lot of round shapes, and other than that, here it is!

It was started by Nnenn (don't know which year), but sadly he passed away in the Spring I believe. There's a Flickr group just for Vic Vipers, also. That it is. The forward drills are the main weapons, I wanted to go for a ship that "tackles" the other ship. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!

During the Clone Wars Mon Calimari used Stinger class Vic Vipers to fight of the CIS. Built for Novvember.
