  1. Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  2. Usually the best deals I find are either ebay or yardsale bulk lots. These are great since I'm more of a MOC'er than a collector.
  3. Although I usually build minifig scale, now and then I like to build micro sized MOCs. This ship took about 2 hours to throw together. C@C is welcome as always. Flickr set.
  4. Thanks! I look forward to seeing how your MOC turns out! @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  5. Lately I've been trying too build a variety of MOCs (that aren't dios). I started trying some different techniques with flex-tube and suddenly I had the inspiration to build a futuristic tank. The display of the MOC was a last minute idea and is two pick a brick cups of tan 1x2 slopes and two cups of 1x1 trans-purple cones. The entire MOC took two days to build. Flickr set.
  6. Thanks for the great C@C everyone! I have some more ideas for my castle layout and hopefully I will have them finished fairly soon.
  7. Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  8. I have only built a castle MOC one other time and that was around 3 years ago. I've been wanting to build a castle MOC for awhile now, so I decided to build a small blacksmith forge. My favorite part of this has to be the roof.C@C is welcome as always. Flickr set.
  9. Great job everyone and thanks EB for hosting another great contest! My votes: 7. NinjaNin - 1 8. Praiter Yed - 1 21. Rook - 3
  10. Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  11. Another addition to my ground crew. Flickr set.
  12. Thanks for all of the suggestions! I actually thought of using some techniques from the first link during the build, for the cockpit, but decided against it (mainly due to all of the studs). Even though I sacrificed some details, I choose the studless approach, since I only use studs for texture. I agree with what you said when it comes to accuracy, but as MOC'er I prefer to keep my MOCs (mainly spaceships) as sleek as possible, but that is just a personal preference. @-Thanks for the great C@C everyone!
  13. Even though I finished my hangar, the project is far from over. Over time I will continue to add more vehicles (and possibly more to the dio). The Jedi Starfighter didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but overall I'm pleased with it. Mainly the bracket sized gaps (most noticeable in the mid-section, between the droid and Republic symbol ) are my biggest frustration about it. Until I figure out another way to keep the SNOT wings without wrecking the angles this won't be fixed for a while. The Crate Transport on the other hand turned out much better than I thought it would. Initially I though it would be too blocky, but I think it turned out alright. As always C@C is welcome. Jedi Starfighter: Jedi Starfighter set. Crate Transport: Ground Crew set.
  14. Thanks! About the nose of the gunship, I can't say I'm a fan either. I've tried a few possible fixes, but all of them made it look worse. At the moment I can't find a solution. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  15. Thanks everyone!
  16. Maybe someday I'll add the back wall and the other half. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  17. Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  18. Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  19. Thanks for the blog! Oops, thanks for telling me about the typo. I should have caught it the first time. For some reason I can't change the title (of the topic), and I'd really appreciate it if one of the mods could correct it, thanks! @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  20. After 8 months of on and off work I have finally finished my second largest project. The piece count is in the 15,000-20,000 range, and the dimensions are a bit larger than a 96x96 with a height of over 60 bricks. I've had a lot of fun building this MOC and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do. More on Flickr.
  21. Thanks everyone!
  22. Thanks! The hanger is going to be minifig scale, but since it's a slice of a hanger ( a very large slice though) it'll only hold my Gunship MOC. I am making the hanger generic though so it can be used as a back drop for any faction. Haha, I wish, but I don't have either of those sets. Thanks! I'm not to fond of color in SW MOCs either but this is about all of the color in the dio (not counting the Gunship of course). The main reason for the rainbow fuel station is to show their is a selection of fuel, since I will use this as a backdrop for many different ships. The final MOC will be about 99% bley, so it will look more SW than sci-fi. @-Thanks for the great comments everyone!
  23. In honor of Spring I decided to build a actual spring. Made only using the ladder piece.
  24. Another preview of my next mega WIP.
  25. It's more of a fan fiction SW MOC, rather than a specific battle. The 2003 CW show is my original inspiration though. It's purist, but yes it a custom design of mine. Anyone is free to use it, with credit of course. I didn't use an references, but it is inspired by the original 2003 version. Awesome design! I'll be sure to include it in the final MOC. @-Thanks for the C&C everyone!
