  1. To be fair it wasn't a how do I do this model question it was more a few tips on how to do it, I've the main body done it's just the front I'm struggling with, I'll post a few pictures up later when I'm on my laptop again. I'm using LDD @Redimus it's what I've used with my buildings and what not, trial and error is always the best way but sometimes getting input from fellow enthusiasts can shed a new light onto something. Thanks for the tips though and yeah you're right about the tricky front end, always up for a challenge though.
  2. Love the train shed too, the inside is a complete contrast to the exterior, very clinical and clean inside with an almost Victorian look outside very well done.
  3. I have been attempting to make a MOC of the new DRS Class 68 and am just looking for a few hints and tips, I've done a few buildings and bridges etc but never attempted a train before, I do have a good idea on the main bulk of it but the only bit I can see being of any real difficulty would be trying to get that slightly sloping front end to work. I'm also thinking of making the Alstom AGV and new Eurostar if this is a success.
  4. It's the Microsoft train simulator in train form, that's awesome! I wish you the very best of luck with that and can see there's a huge amount of potential for this. It's something I've been thinking needs to be made for a very long time, I have no technical knowledge of how to do it myself so I'm glad you've taken up the challenge. Lego Loco reborn.
  5. Not today but yesterday, I got myself a new toy so to test it out where better than to go to Toys R Us and pick up a nice new Lego set for my slowly developing city.
  6. That's utterly amazing, the level of detail is crazy, would love to be able to create something like this myself especially the Deltic.
  7. Just seen this and very much looking forward to having some new stuff to expand my railway some more, got many different stations as it is and another will be good. Just got the Horizon Express as a gift and will be getting another to extend it as well, looks like it'll be a fun build, haven't made it yet as I got it just before my trip to a Belfast for the New Year, need some extra power functions too.
  8. Purchased 60002 from Bristol airport on my to Belfast, was a mere tenner, quite happy with that as a little purchase.
  9. I'm 25 and been back into Lego for just under a year now, left due to deciding it was a bit too childish for me and wanted to buy myself a car, well now I realise how foolish I was, so many awesome sets have been and gone. Thankfully I'm now in a position where I can afford both Lego and cars, have some nice motors that I'm very proud of too as much as I'm proud of my Lego collection. I will admit I was a little embarrassed at first upon returning thinking surely it's a child's toy but after finding out I'm not alone as an adult liking Lego both from the internet, Lego forums, Facebook and even work, loads of my colleagues seem to be really big into it. I can kind of understand that being at school a lot of your fellow students probably don't view it the same way as you do but like everyone else here has said, who cares? If you enjoy it keep on at it.
  10. Been looking to do something similar to this myself although was going to do it without the central part, interesting to see what people say in regards to it possibly looking odd though, I'll try it and see all the same though. Was just going to bunch the tracks a little closer together.
  11. Good day one and all, my name is Jon, Turbot or Winky whichever takes your fancy. My user name comes from the name given to my car which was inspired by a fellow colleague actually trying to be abusive to me but backfired(may not be interested but now you know) I live in Devon in Englandland but also spend a lot of time in Northern Ireland for various reasons. I have been an avid collector of Lego for many years but stopped 7 years ago to concentrate my finances on cars and recently got back onto it. I collect cars and Lego now, my main themes for the Lego is City, Rock Raiders and trains, in fact it was my search for Lego trains on Google that sent me here, liked what I saw and joined. I'm actually trying to build up a Lego City and aim for it to be massive, (of which any help is appreciated) currently it's just a small mess on my bedroom floor but hoping to soon have it in an office in my warehouse in Belfast.
