Glad You like it :)

Hi! My new ship I built some time ago: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=567121
-
I build it over 5months, and it took me around 2 full days to make the rigging... I finished it at 4am before the exhibition in Gdańsk :)
-
Dzięki :) The yellow colour is a cheaper substitute for pearl gold... and as i have some trouble with destinguishing colours i did not see a problem with the browns :P
-
Although Gdynia did not yet exist in XVIII it is where she is anchored. The rigging is exactly in a colour i wanted :)

106D Hi! I have finally managed to make some photos of my ship. It is a Polish frigate named Johannes Casimirus Rex after one of Polish kings from XVII century. It took me almost half a year to make it, and I still think she needs more work. But after 3month exhibition in Gdańsk I'm not gonna change anything, so here are the photos: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=475890 The rigging and sails are custom (and a pain in the neck), although i'm not happy with the sails at all. There is no interior, but there will be in my next ship :) A lot credit goes to Cpt Green Hair for his tutorial and a few helpful words. Thanx! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/trubal/MOCs/Pirate-MOCs/ORP-Jan-Kazimierz/pict1758.jpg

The problem i see with them is that they have some space between each brick, those, old ones dont have it that big.
-
Thanks :) Her name is: OJKM (=HMS) Johannes Casimirus Rex. Im already planning another one but i need to wait for the exhibition to end, as i need to use my parts (again...)
-
I finished the ship. It's not as good as i liked it to be, but i still like her :) i didn't do any photos yet, as it's on our exhibition, but here are some photos from it (more will come in around 3 months):

I had a feeling that the masts are to tall, i'll lower them today. I'll also try to move the front a little backwards, although i'll have to change something to give it more stability. I won't change the stern, I like it :) but I know what you mean, I had to do it like this to keep the cost of the project lower. Next one will be better. And it still looks much better than my first one which i couldn't post because of the way it looked like :P About 50% of the ship is from parts I already had, and the money I spend on it was only around 40-60GBP. Unfortunately I have to finish her before 8.07 because we(LugPol) are making an exhibition in Gdansk, which You are all of course welcome to visit :)

OK, thanx :) I can put some pictures if you like, but they will be cell-phone quality EDIT: Sorry for the size, and quality, better will be available next week. The figurehead is only temporary :P http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/trubal/MOCs/Pirate-MOCs/ORP-Jan-Kazimierz/image0030.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/trubal/MOCs/Pirate-MOCs/ORP-Jan-Kazimierz/image0032.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/trubal/MOCs/Pirate-MOCs/ORP-Jan-Kazimierz/image0033.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/trubal/MOCs/Pirate-MOCs/ORP-Jan-Kazimierz/image0034.jpg

Hi again! I have a small problem: The masts (the parts built with 11s high kolumns) are very fragile, I can't tilt the ship a few degrees, because the fall down. Is there a way to fix it? Maybe fitting in them a hose would work, as they have a hole going through them.
-
Thats a perfect explanation to a small problem :P Thanx
-
its hard to explain :P Birds eye's element. It looks like half of a circle, and if you cut it it would be either in a shape of an "O" or just half of it. I think you used it as BACK! :P Now i can see it... it's just a regular hose used as railing right? did u use a 1x1 cone with a robot hand for it?
-
I'm finally finishing mine, and i quite like how it looks like :) I'll try to post some pictures today. I have some questions tho. On the masts, the place where a sailor stays and shouts "LAAAAAND" etc :P How did you do it? There are some round parts I'm not familiar with. I cannot make it out of the photos in the thread.

Hi! Good work on the WIP, though I have to say, the cabin on the stern is way to small, try widen it (add 1 more window in the middle maybe?)
-
Lorenzen -3 Jansued - 4 Good Luck! I was hoping i would win :P
-
Wow :) I've been indexed:P I'm stunned and don't know what to say :P
-
my pleasure, tho i still wouldnt cut my hand for it :P
-
There will be a thread opened called voting or sth like that. There you will post a post:) with sth ilke that: Someone - Moc1 Sometwo- Moc2 Somethree - Moc3 or something similar
-
I edited the first post, so go there to see the Final Version. Comments are welcome! Edit: Ah, i still have a month time :) Haha
-
I'm not a marinist in English, but i think that is correct :)
-
Yeah, but the problem is with the sides, not the rear :) As you could see on last picture, the lower cabin has vertical, straight walls, but higher is a little slopy. How to make those side walls slopy so that it would look nice? Ill try to make a photo of what im thinking of, so you could see it...

Yeah, I'm planning to make it quite big, and hope i will be able to :) I'm not yet sure which faction will it belong to, most likely it will be redcoats, due to the number of them in my collection, and due to my sigfigs colours :) I was thinking also of making blue pirate torsos as the crew, they look nice and I have loads of them. I hope I'll be able to make her with at least two gun decks and 3 masts. Because of some perturbations in my work i had no time to do anything, and its hidden until completion :) I was thinking of making a diorama as cpt. Blackmoore did but it will have to wait at least a week from now to be done. Anyway I can't do anything before i get more middle-sections as I have only one now... I'm also trying to get some brown bricks but i may as well use black which are cheaper and easier to find. I'm also thinking hard about technique to use building the walls of captains and admirals cabins as they should lean inward a bit. Normal hinges maybe?
