So much lovely detail as always with your creations! The roof looks great with studs -- how you do that is amazing! I never feel comfortable with studs showing; must be the coloring and other architectural elements you add. Thanks for the inspiration

MOC: Expedition EmFiber

Thanks! The Summer release wave of Friends looks to have some more "adventuring" suggested activity on the box-art for those loose bricks in those boxes -
Oh, there are already several Pink Cadillacs in LEGO bricks Elvis? Do you mean Bruce Springsteen? Yes, in the USA we need ladders for our vehicles & beds Whenever I can get more Pink plates of various widths, I would like to re-build this. Also, in future want to build vehicles without concern of being MiniFig or MiniDoll compatible. Thanks! For this one, since it's an overhauled Cool Convertible, I didn't make doors or trunks open -- in the future I will though! Glad you enjoyed it I agree about lowering one stud -- when I look at the photos, I can visualize plate height above the chrome (grey) side trim along the sides in that row of bricks, rather than brick-height. Next time

Since the RadFems are a day late and a dollar short on this, I wasn't going to comment here. However, something one of the petition creators wrote on their site is a perfect example of how clueless they are: "We would like the adventure-oriented sets to balance out violence with a strong focus on friendship and empathy, (since when was Star Wars actually about violence, anyway?) and we would like the Friends girls to have the opportunity to save the day, too." -- Stephanie Cole, SPARK Yes, she actually wrote that! Read it yourself: http://www.sparksummit.com/2012/04/17/why-are-we-still-talking-about-lego/ Written by Stephanie Cole 'aka' the girl who didn't play with LEGO due to all the 'assembly' part of it What? You think Star Wars is not violent? What planet have you been watching it from anyway? As for other 'demands' they are also out-of-touch because: 1) Black Widow is piloting the QuinJet; 2) Nya is the Samurai Mech; 3) 2011 Community Workers set contains same female-to-male ratio; 4) Female firefighter MiniFigs, female Park Ranger MiniFig; 5) TLG has female designers (for years); 6) TLG can't change story canon on Licensed themes. I'm sure there's more, but those are off the top of my head. LEGO bricks are a building toy -- don't wait for TLG to dictate your scene theme, create your own! I could write more here, but instead of waiting for corporate marketing to tell me what to do, I am too busy building with my imagination

Lovely details and colors -- inside & out! Like others have commented, it has that feel of a real antiques store -- can almost smell the scent of old leather from here

The blending of colors is great on your race car! She could drive off into the sunset ... and no one would even suspect

Thanks My first build had the purple blended with azure blue and a bit of yellow; it was too distracting. The black seems to showcase the purple better. A train station you say?? Hmmm ... Fortunately 'markg' made an Easter train which should satisfy your "animal train" craving Glad you like it -- a Dining Caboose seems ordinary to me -- guess I've eaten at lots of track-side cafes, which were actual Caboose cars turned into restaurants Really, I had no idea there weren't more Ladies around these tracks! All of my train rides on standard lines, as well as recreational & touristy, have included loads of females enjoying the trains and the rides Thanks for the warm welcome and taking time to notice all the details of my train -- I try to implement real-world aspects in most of my creations. For me, it's not just aesthetic, yet also function. Getting both is even better Since Friends is geared to girls, I would truly love to hear any feedback from your daughters! Thanks! Wonderful compliment! Inspiring other girls is one reason I enjoy building with these new bricks & colors. Just how well you gentlemen have received my train is proof-positive for me -- thanks! Would love to hear feedback from your daughters too! Have they built their own trains now? Just, wow. I am more than honored. Thanks for the vote of confidence in my creation. Let's hope we got more fans onto the right track of viewing the possibilities of these new sets, rather than any "perceived" limitations! Glad you enjoy the colors. Maybe some MLP fans have gained building inspiration Thanks! Since I used plates & wheel assemblies from an Express Train set I have, I thought the smaller plate would be ideal for me to try a Butterfly design (since that's part of the Friends' graphic representation). Plus, there wasn't room in the Caboose Cafe for a bathroom -- and with all that Pink Lemonade ... well ... Certainly glad my train got your imagination going! Even if it was down the wrong set of tracks Clever & Fun is a great compliment -- thanks!

Such a "Happy" Easter train! I bet your kids loved it! The azure blue caboose is lovely I'm surprised Lightningtiger hasn't been here to comment, since this is sort of an "animal train"

This is a very long train using a flex method; this image is from "Bricks By The Bay" event in San Francisco, CA, USA: BBTB 2012: Trains 3 by Bill Ward's Brickpile, on Flickr There are more photos of this particular train in the set on Bill's Flickr. I'm not sure if there are instructions or a break-down of parts placement somewhere. I just saw your topic and remembered seeing this -- hope it helps

Am not really understanding your question. It was built with only the City Park Cafe pieces (literally every single one, heh) and only a steering column from Steph's convertible, and only wheels from a bucket. It's a demonstration as to a possible alternate model girls (and boys) could build if they are new to LEGO and received this set. Does it look like the City Park Cafe? Initial catalyst for this build was as a counter to misrepresentation that the Cafe is "pre-fab" and simplistic. Now that Friends sets have 'sold out' at many stores, the point is a bit moot

Having bought this set before Valentine's Day, I had to check the date of your review Thanks for reviewing it! For the price, I think it's pretty decent: a printed tile, the red plates, gold telescopes, etc. I am confused about your comment: "Unfortunately, there is no way this can connect to a minifig." Are you referring to the hair? Because mini-doll hair can fit to MiniFig heads. Or are you talking about something else? There's always a story involving finding sets. I thought I'd missed getting this one, since it was supposed to be a January Target special. I looked though the "Valentines" holiday section in Target for it -- and although they had other LEGO items like Star Wars and NinjaGO Valentine's card boxes, I never saw the Friends mailbox. Then during a later trip there, the entire end-cap display section was filled with these -- which was interesting since it wasn't near the Valentines, yet at end of "construction toy" aisle. Since all the other small sets of Friends were 'sold out' it was smart of the Target employee to fill up that empty rack with this set! A side note: This is a good example of why sometimes a Poll is useless on EB, or at least when attached to a review of a set that most people don't have. Someone voted it as "Poor" which probably has more to do with their theme prejudice than an actual objective opinion of piece-type, piece-count for the money Too bad that "poor" person is missing out on cool sets & pieces Thanks JackJonespaw for taking time to post this review!

Perhaps this is TLG's way of combating the in-store theft acts of people opening boxes, removing the MiniFig bag (to re-sell them) and sealing box back up an putting back on the store shelf So, I guess it's worth a minor inconvenience if it thwarts those thieves. Also, it may be a new trend in all sets, to encourage building along with un-boxing. I noticed it in some 'other' new sets of a new theme. Thanks for the review sok117, it's always good to see a comparison to previous versions of theme-sets. Interesting mention of Power Miners (drill head) because assembled in your images, the overall structure does look a bit like Power Miners. Even though Harley & Catwoman don't come in the set, it's nice to see them in the images. Reviews and photographing them take a bit of time, so I'm not bothered that you have the parts piled up after dumping out of their respective bags -- since that's how it's boxed, not with pieces organized by color/type. Sorry about your stickers (which I didn't miss one bit on the build, honestly, yet I know how it is when they are bent and never get completely flat after that) and your comic being folded. That is a mystery -- considering other fans received this set with those shrink-wrapped to cardboard. When you find the time, I wonder if you could add the BrickLink or Brickset set LINK to your review instead of just the S@H link, because that link will eventually go dead when the product is sold out, whereas the Brickset one will remain for years & years Thanks!

One of the few buildings of LEGO bricks I actually wish to be real so I could visit it in real Life!

Roarin' Roadster! Looks like roadsters are very popular right now 1950 or 2012, they are hip -- yours looks great! I also like the window displays in your tire shop

So much detail! Very enjoyable to look at over & over again

"Inside The Lamp" MiniFig: Genie Theme: Prince of Persia ... where nobody is allowed to rub for 3 wishes. Inside the Genie's Lamp there is a Luxury Bathroom to: Shower, splash on some fragrance, and do private 'business' all safely inside the Lamp -- in private quarters. Inside The Lamp ~ the Sink, where Genie can splash on a variety of various fragrances, use lotion to soften his skin, wash up after granting wishes, brush his teeth and use the mirror to check that his jewels are on correctly. Inside The Lamp ~ the Commode -- where Genie can conduct his private "business" and think about his work for the day. My inspiration for this build was the gold spigot - water faucet that came in Stephanie's Cool Convertible set. Genies have been around for a long time -- be glad they have a place to freshen up

Yeah, I bet it would make an easy to find BBQ foodvan at a Festival. Thanks LT, don't know if she can fit through the entry hatch Thanks for your compliments -- trying to make a curly tail was by far the most difficult part of this build; I must have tried 6 different techniques with the pink I have on hand. I tried stacked 1x1 rounds; stacked 1x1 rounds intermixed with the dark pink flower petals; alternating pink & dark pink 1x2 slopes -- turned at 'spiral' angles; pink cones, radar dishes, etc., and the Friends comb at least has a curly groove (if you squint ) Thanks -- Funny you should mention that -- since a train was my very next project, here's a Link to it: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67126 I'm so glad to hear it made your day -- that makes my day!

Friends Express Train carries passengers around the HeartLake while they enjoy refreshments in the Cafe Caboose. Olivia is the Engineer Friends Express Train ~ full view side & top. Engine's top view of solar panels, as the Engine is a solar-electric hybrid. The battery with capacitor cap is on top of the engine. Powder-room Car, since there's no need for a coal tender. This car is accessible from engine or cafe caboose. Butterfly antennas have solar tubes to heat the water for the washing-up. There's a sink, soap, towel rack, mirror, and commode. Powder-room Car, view with roof off. Friends Express Train has a Cafe in its Caboose, which Marie stocks with healthy muffins, fruit and Pink Lemonade. Cafe Caboose - view with roof off - Marie checks on the Pink Lemonade dispenser, while Emma takes photos. Andrea chats with Anna & Peter - Olivia's parents. Cafe Caboose - the backdoor steps. A still-frame image of the train passing by some flora and fauna in the Video of the train rolling on tracks! Hope you enjoyed the ride on the Friends Express Additional photos in the This is the first train I've built in a long time -- it was a lot of fun and reminded me of how technical electric trains can be -- of course 9V are my favorite, yet, I suppose PF ones are more versatile.

Pink is everywhere on Earth -- in our gardens, on our farms, the color of love, peppermint ice cream, that shirt which used to be white before it was washed with a red shirt, blended into a layered sunset in the sky, and so much more ... Brought to you by: "The Pink Brick" Because now there are enough to make lots creations And now on the road too -- look out for the PoinkMobile hogging the road! Heading straight for your truffles They are not just on the farm any more. The way out is the only way in ... No passing pink zone on the open road. "Just say no to bacon, please!" I never thought I would enjoy building vehicles so much. Now that I kind of have the whole chassis build up or down thing figured out, I may do more. I doubt I can ever make exact replicas of existing vehicles though -- those builders who do so have skills Well, hopefully the PoinkMobile made you smile! After seeing Allan Smith's Seafood Truck, I decided to build this -- after having the idea a while ago as I was looking at all my pink bricks. Although, I didn't add a food vendor side compartment for any (shhhh ...) bacon

Azure blue and yellow complement each other very well. I really enjoy the inside too -- so roomy for Freinds, yet comfy too That table in the back is great!

Thanks -- I do wonder if Bat-Girls likes lavender. I suppose it depends of which version of her
