In medieval Persia, Prince Dastan and Seso journey by battle-raft to a mystical Palace Outpost that is located by a river! They have come to collect the Dagger of Time so it wouldn't be used for evil! Unfortunately, two villains have managed to infiltrate the Palace, and are silently waiting for the heroes to enter . . . This MOC was built entirely from pieces included in the Battle of Alamut set. Here, you can see the S.N.O.T stairs. The top of the Palace has whine, a gold statue and a wonderful view of the world around it. Thank you for viewing!

World Racers Summer 2010
Bricknave replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agree. World Racers is a lot like Drome Racers, except it doesn't take place in the future and only has two teams (for now). _ As for the "World Racers versus Tiny Turbos" subject, I think both styles of LEGO race vehicles have a place. Tiny Turbos are good because they are easy to collect and customize. Plus, if you were to take some LEGO Bricks with you on a trip, you would want to take something with a durable canister and no Minifigs that you wouldn't want to lose. MOCing with Tiny Turbos is good because you challenge yourself how many details you can fit into a tiny racecar. Minifig-compatible racing vehicles are good, because almost any Minifig-Compatible Racing Vehicle built using the pre-fab design included in the instruction booklet that came with the set, will look good with almost any other LEGO playtheme that features Minifigs. For example, the Red-Team Monster Truck included in Blizzard's Peak wouldn't look half bad at one of the evil Ogel's basecamps, and the Motorcycles from Snake Canyon would blend in perfectly in a LEGO City highway. -
A big "Bravo" from me to everyone who participated in the Community Build! My vote goes to Tereglith-59. Pirate Outpost, because I like the shape of the outpost's cabin, and the little details such as the Redcoat skeleton tied to the tree. Like what Zorro did, I will list my other favorite entries: Pellaeon-55. Commons MetroiD-33. Inn Admiral Ron-17. Blacksmith/Swordsmith MetroiD-5. Town Square Christoph-11. Dentists Office ZCerberus--13. Barristers Office Admiral Croissant--15. Bakery Captain Blackmoor-20. Shipyard Masters Office badboytje88-22. Orphanage Grimmy-30. House the Inventor-32. River Trading Post L-space-23. Poor House (food/cloths/shelter) exotrator-19. Cannon Foundry And remember; it isn't about winning or losing, it is about having fun and learning from your mistakes. Leg Godt - Play well.

Greetings, fellow LEGO enthusiasts! Today, I am going to write a review of .... 4x4 Dynamo! Name: 4x4 Dynamo Set Number: 20014 Theme: Creator Year released: 2010 Price: Considering that this is a Brickmaster Polybag Set, $6.00 is the estimated price. Piece Count: 69 Number of Minifigures Included: 0 Additional Information: This is the March-April 2010 Brickmaster Polybag Set. This model is a non-Minifigure-Scaled ATV / Quad-Bike. Image Resource: My Flickr Photostream Contents. Inside the Polybag (shown far above) is what you will usually find in an average LEGO Polybag -- LEGO Bricks in smaller Polybags and an instruction booklet. I have discarded the smaller Polybags after releasing the bricks they contained. Nothing special at all about the booklet by the way -- no advertisements for other Creator sets at all. Here are the most interesting bricks of this set. The tires are new to me. Build. The build is more challenging than other small Polybag Pomo Sets, which is good. Don't want building to be too easy. *Snap* *Click* *Snap* The model itself. It is high in playability. Unfortunately, this model is not meant for Minifigures. *Brum brum brum* Even though this model is not made for Minifigures, I decided to put one on to use as a scale gauge for the viewers. Chad McGrunge is a loose-cannon daredevil racer with a bad attitude. He decided to take the 4x4 Dynamo Quad-Bike for a race. Chad wins the race, and gets his picture taken with his stylish new Quad-Bike. Ratings: Playability: 8/10 Build: 6/10 Pieces: 6/10 Minifigures: 0/10 Total: 20/40 This is an okay set, not really something to look for and buy on a reseller website in my opinion. One huge downside of it is that it is not made for Minifigures. Thank you for reading! ~Bricknave

Oh wow! Such a fantastic MOC! I admire how the floor of the ship is so smooth and realistic. I also like curvy bow, and the sails made up of tiles. Great work, the crew of The Tornado of Souls is welcome to come to the Drunken Fish Tavern anyday! Arrrr!

Ideas for new Adventurers Sets
Bricknave replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd like to see a revisit to Egypt as a special-addition "bringing back memories" set. Except it would be a completely different adventure, with the treasure being a Pharaoh's crown carved out of 100% Carnelian (which is an orange-colored gem native to Egypt). The Pith Helmets would be completely new molds, that would be more realistic. As for an adventure story set-line, I have some ideas: *The Adventurers go to Greece to search for an ancient scroll that belonged to Plato (would be the quest for Atlantis if the Atlantis theme wasn't released already). *The Adventurers go back to the Himalayas to find Shangri La. *The Adventurers go to Cambodia to find an ancient [insert name of a wonderful artifact to treasure]. *The Adventurers go to Nubia to find a long-lost [insert name of a wonderful artifact to treasure]. -
Thank you all for leaving me such pleasant comments! I'm so happy that you enjoy my slate-roofing technique and other details! Thank you all so much, and good building!

Yarr me harties! This is my entry for the Eurobricks Pirate Community Build, Building 9: Tavern, but I like to call it The Drunken Fish Tavern! It was a huge fun project! Close to the sea, The Drunken Fish Tavern sells fresh(ish) food and alcohol. However, thanks to being far from the heart of the Imperial-Officer Infested town, it is also a secret meeting place for pirates on the run! The tavern will often host special discounted food parties for great pirate captains and their loyal crewmates! (The top view, as requested) Brickbeard is having a special food party with his loyal crewmates and pirate captain buddies! There is a bobbing-for-fish tub, a gold treasure-chest of cooked crabs, plus tables of cooked turkey and lobster! YUMMM! I hope you enjoy it!

Wow. The new 2010 LEGO Kingdoms sets are extraordinary! Although I like the fantasy elements the last Castle theme had, I think it's good for this new theme to take a break from it for the most part.
-
True. Although most Moc'ers like myself dislike what appears to us as Bionicle-ized Duplo, it appears to the theme's targeted audience as an awesome building system. In-fact, if I were a 6 year old right now, I would probably want to get all six of the Canisters. Yes, it might be something we brainy Moc'ers hate, but this is probably a very financially smart move for LEGO. Who knows? Maybe the little kids who buy and enjoy the Ben-10 "Constraction" Canisters might switch to good old LEGO System Sets in their future.

I think that bringing back the Feudal Japan Theme would be a VERY smart move for LEGO. So many themes and re-makes of themes have come and gone, and LEGO is slowly starting to run out of new non-licensed themes. Now that LEGO some collected some new brick molds over the years and now that there seems to be a place for another new non-licensed theme, and Feudal Japan would fit the spot. I can just see it now! Ninja Dojos and Samurai Strongholds using current bricks and building techniques, new Ninja weapons which sok117 had mentioned before, and new scenery bricks for that peaceful nature feeling! Signed.

I would like to build the second Tavern (number 9) please!

True. Some members of Humanity have done terrible things to other members. I just hope that all members of Humanity that haven't changed their ways of evil will change when we start meeting other sentient races out there. Not that the universe is plentiful with other sentient beings, though. Maybe other forms of life such as basic animals, or even just microbes. I think that there might only be a small number of other sentient races, like 5 or 7. If so, then they probably won't even be Humanoid.
-
Yes, definitely! Also, the Na'vi Minifig could be the same template as the Toy Story Woody Minifig, since the Na'vi are much taller than Humans! _ As for the movie itself;

That would explain the use of Av-Matoran legs for arms. Well, fortunately the canisters don't seem to be too <insert that tiresome argument>, so at least HerO Factory will exceed Bionicle in terms of small sets. That would be pretty cool! That way, the Bionicle-styled HerO Factory sets could have a better compatibility with LEGO System. I've never purchased a normal Bionicle figure canister from the last six years of Bionicle mainly because of the lack of of some type of function other than just a launcher, but if HerO Factory could introduce Minifigs (and possibly other LEGO System elements) then there would be a higher chance of me buying a canister or two. You're right. Now, if a HerO Factory set could be based on that Tilt-A-Rotor / Helicopter vehicle, HerO Factory would definitely live up to the expectations of Bionicle's successor! THEN, after you live a few days of cave life, you discover that LEGO will come out with yet another Bionicle-type line and blurry pictures are released. After a while of debating, you and other Eurobricks members discover that a new set will be called "Starship"! Afterwards, you and company begin to discuss about how a large Technic starship meant for a Bionicle-type figure would be TOTAL PWNAGE!
-
Very good analogy, but maybe the Dropship could be Matoran-sized and only have seats for two passengers, so that it would be at the same price range as the Thornatus V9. It could look strange, but at least it would still serve the purpose of having a cool flying Technic dropship to make "swoosh" sounds with.
-
True! I think it is also possible to build any Ben 10 Alien Force canister set blindfolded! Back on topic for me now ... "Dropship"? Interesting. Bionicle has never released a set of a flying vehicle meant to carry several figures at a time! This could be something that will make HerO Factory stand out from it's processor.
-
Agreed. Inika armor had been re-used for far too long, to the point where people could build canisters containing Inika armor pieces without even looking at the instructions. That is one positive feature for the new HerO Factory Hero canisters. Hopefully, the full torso wouldn't be two big pieces either, as previous comments had mentioned. If so, then it would greatly subtract the building experience, which is what LEGO is all about.
-
Congratulations TheOtters! You've done a brilliantly well-done job critiquing those MOCs!

Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and many joyful building experiences!! 2009 Was one heck of a year! It had many wonderful new set additions to current themes, plus the introduction of Power Miners and Space Police 3; Themes that gifted wondrous new MOCing possibilities to LEGO fans everywhere! And now we reach the beginning of 2010: A year that will have even more new set additions to current themes and introduce even more new themes, plus the official release of LEGO Universe -- An MMOG that will be a great place for LEGO fans everywhere can interact with each-other! Play well.

EH? The HerO Factory targeted market is only for 6-12 year olds? Wasn't Bionicle for ages 7+? Suspicious ...
-
Yeah, you're right. Peace. You're also right. Maybe I had those strange negative emotions against the HerO Factory line because I was upset that Bionicle was getting replaced. Interestingly, I'm now actually planning on getting one of the HerO Factory boxes because they remind me of Throwbots / Slizer, and (Ironically) I just so happen to like Throwbots / Slizer.
