  1. Thanks everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
  2. "What should we use to finish the boat, my precious?" "Boneses." "Boneses? Yes, yes my precious! Boneses!"
  3. In your signature, you need to get rid of the extra tags surrounding the tags. Then your Eagle badge shall reveal itself.
  4. I made a slight alteration, would you mind taking the quiz again?
  5. UPDATE 9/4/2013: The Gorilla tribe has been added to the roster!
  6. If only we had the power to teleport our MOCs from our homes to conventions.
  7. The reason he is walking around in his underwear is because he just got out of bed. Nope, he definitely isn't me, because I always put my bricks on the table.
  8. Not a rant, just humor. For the record, I enjoy the Travelers Tales games.
  9. There is an opinion that instructions stifle creativity. It's not like the instructions are forcing kids to not build freely. When I was younger, I knew I didn't have to follow the instructions. Also, it's not like all LEGO sets are X-Wings and Star Destroyers; even with those, you can still rebuild an X-Wing into anything you want! That's the beauty of LEGO bricks! There are plenty of buckets filled with assorted LEGO bricks which don't have instructions.
  10. My first brick comic, which is just a standalone non-serial comic. I know you can relate to this somehow.
  11. Decades ago in a medieval fantasy land, a Snake Cult conducted secret ceremonies in the darkness of a sewer. Time has passed and the Snake Cult has lost its popularity, but creatures conjured from rituals still lurk in the sewer, guarding the many stolen treasures snake-worshippers gave as offerings. The snake-worshippers also brought in plenty of foreign snake-species into the sewer, which drew the ire of the local townspeople. Local residents refer to the sewer as the "Slithering Sewer", and are oftentimes paranoid about serpents invading their homes via the plumbing. A group of adventurers do battle with a particularly large Naga and two of his snake-minions. The group of adventurers consists of the following: Human Warrior, Dwarf Priest, Human Knight, Human Rogue, Dwarf Warlock-Mage, Elf Scout. Lightly inspired by the MMORPG I play, Runes of Magic, with a few Heroica parallels.
  12. There is not a 'licensed' result, the quiz is specifically oriented around original themes. Yes, there is a result for Modern Day / Town / City. Thanks for the suggestion, sometime I'll see if I can tweak the Q&A part of the quiz. The initial reason answers have been pre-selected is so that nobody could unintentionally skip questions.
  13. Ever since the big three 'evergreen' themes were introduced, the LEGO world has been filled with various set collections based on general aspects of fiction and non-fiction. (Click the image above to take the quiz) The algorithm and questions have been done in a style that is slightly different to my LEGO Fan quiz, so it is harder to predict your result. I am most like Action-related themes. This fits well, because Adventurers and Power Miners are two of my favorite themes, plus the fact that I like to add some excitement to my MOCs most of the time. Which kind of original (non-licensed) LEGO Theme are you most like?
  14. To me, this looks like a great combination of an airship with a hardsuit. I also like how the brown elements in this MOC seem to represent both metal and wood.
  15. I think LEGO made the right decision in having a very prominent product tie-in. I have a feeling this game would have a "Pay-to-Win" way of getting revenue in which basic content is free, but players have to buy Collectifigs in order to get special in-game gear. I hope there would be building like in Universe, but maybe involve building in the gameplay more (such as being able to use a MOC to fight enemies.) I'm not expecting it because of the focus on Minifigures rather than LEGO in general, but it would still be nice.
  16. As Mr. Octopunk (a member of Cthulhu's race) sits on a temple built for him to use as a chair, he looks at the river (or stream, from his perspective) and ponders his life. Unlike his peers, he doesn't have regenerative powers, so the arm he lost was replaced with a steam-powered machine. Mr. Octopunk has other things that make him different from his peers, such as his hat and penchant for bling. Mr. Octopunk by Bricknave, on Flickr Mr. Octopunk by Bricknave, on Flickr In addition to being a chair for Mr. Octopunk, the temple is also a place of worship for the Humans who built it. Mr. Octopunk by Bricknave, on Flickr Mr. Octopunk stands up to show his bling. If you would like to vote for my entry to the ReBrick Octopus challenge, use this link and click the "Like" button.
  17. Here is some concept art of a different LEGO full-length animated film that would've involved Blur studios: You can find more at this Kotaku article. The premise was that a Minifig leaves his town to explore the Human world. Along the way, he encounters various LEGO settings and characters. However, WB decided to go with a different pitch for the LEGO movie.
  18. Thanks for the feedback everyone, it will help me for when I make future personality tests! I'm happy you had some lighthearted fun taking this test.
  19. While practicing my HTML and PHP, I developed a Personality Test based on the various archetypes of the LEGO fan community. Click on the image to go straight to the test. There isn't a "best" archetype, they all play vital parts in the LEGO fan community. I am the Purist MOCer archetype because I focus on MOCing more than other fan activities, and I don't use custom molded pieces often. What archetype are you the most like? If you would like to show your badge here on Eurobricks, copy and paste the BBCode.
  20. I shall cast my votes: 22) Clockwork Robot Entry (AlexScammer) - 1 point 26) Minotaur Entry (kciR) - 1 point 31) Sleepyhead Entry (watersnap) - 1 point Voting was difficult as there were so many fantastic entries!
  21. Here are my votes: 2) The ski jump in Holmenkollen in Oslo (Cecilie) - 1 point 5) Battle plans (kciR) - 1 point 15) Through the Wormhole (Space Terrapin) - 1 point Good luck to all of the contestants!
  22. This is amazing. My favorite part is probably the pistols, because they look like a blend of the real deal with retro-futurism. If this became a set, here is a possible story/description for it: "In the outer rim of the galaxy, a lone Hero Factory sheriff works to protect colonists from bandits and other threats."
  23. Congratulations to the winners! Everyone who participated did a great job!
  24. Yeah, Quinton Steele's torso would be useful for making a revamped Johnny Thunder. Minifig designers must've gathered inspiration from good old Johnny when designing Quinton.
