  1. I would say the main mistake and topic that LEGO can sue HA Bricks for is how they advertise their sets and what they print on the packaging and instructions. These claims of „100% LEGO bricks“ will give LEGO the leaverage to be at least partly successful with their strategy. But from my point of view asking for customer data and a recall of all sets is far over the top.
  2. The LEGO lawyer has refused HA Bricks offer to no longer sell or include the LEGO bricks with bearings. They want that HA Bricks calls back all the sets sold so far. And the lawyer does not only seem to be concerned about the bearings but also the prints on LEGO bricks (that he claims contain lead?). So it looks like a crusade against the company as it will certainly bring the company down if they had to fulfill all the requirements from LEGO. That said: the court trial is still on and no decision was made.
  3. What is missing on this cement mixer is the feed hopper. How shall the cement be filled in without a feed? Now, a friend who wrote a review on 1000steine.de has build a little extra to be added to the set.
  4. No, nothing rubbing. All fine. Can you share some images of your mods, please?
  5. I agree, maybe completely without handrail would be the best solution.
  6. There is always one little thing that one could change. How about a long hose rigid in brown? Thoughts?
  7. And now I gave it another round of thoughts: 1. the black Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud) are closer to the original but then the dark grey parts would also need to be replaced to be a match. So why not have it all in dark grey? Thus now with grey Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud) 2. The grilles in the very front do not match the original where there are small doors without grille. Thus replaced the 1x2 with grille by 1x1 lamp bricks and 1x1 tiles. Now I am happy :-)
  8. I added a few more modifications, have a look.
  9. I have implemented three more updates and would be interested in your views: 1. I replaced the brown Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom (Boat Stud) with black ones to be closer to the original colour scheme. However, in the original the arches would be black as well, but smaller. Thus I did not want the black colour to dominate too much and left the arches brown. 2. I moved the Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Grille (Flutes) by one stud to the middle and I replaced the middle one above the arches with a standard 1x2 brick. This is to improve symetrie and to better match the original where the grilles are service doors and there are two of them on each side above the arches. Hope you like the new modifications - these are all very simple changes to the original model.
  10. Thanks. Track is on one side standard LEGO radius and the other side is this:
  11. I have run it through a switch that was just behind a curve. No problem.
  12. While I already presented my gap-closing little MOD using panels, here is another update. I found a good addition for the panels: adding some tiles between panels adds a little stability. To make the gap even more „invisible“, I have extended the step alongside the front by one stud. The pantographs on the original set look very „high“. This is because the insulators would otherwise not fit. So you could choose...do you? I found a way to add some insulators and still lower the pantographs by two plates, it is not a completely legal technique though as there is some tension. So here is the result, please let me know what you think: Which MODs would you keep, which ones would you remove?
  13. They definately are! They are just slightly shortened to run well on genuine LEGO track (switches and curves). This is a C4ü PR08 - read more here: http://www.rbd-breslau.de/14-sitzwagen/sitzwagen_s_pr.html
  14. This is because the sellers on bricklink buy large quantities of sets at low price and sell the individual elements. For example they would buy the TopGear car which comes with expensive PU elements such as the Technic hub but as the set is so cheap they can sell the PU components at very low price.
  15. It does work well, I have built it with the panels. But much simpler. Only the two panels each side plus 1x1 bricks with studs on one side and 1x1 bricks. Here is the result - works on all rails, did not test junctions yet:
  16. Maybe when you only use it for showcase. Motorized it is a no, as there is no space in the front and rear parts for any motors. As I currently have no access to the model and instructions, I can only guess: a tile should work. But I think it would still shine through a little bit.
  17. Yes, it does go around the LEGO curves. My track consists of both, wide custom curve and LEGO scale. But for LEGO it was not an option to use the panel. The reason is that it can be mounted only with one stud. This is flimsy and can easily fall off. For an enthusiast not a problem, but for the average buyer it would be.
  18. Thanks! These coaches are from HA-Bricks (custom sets made of genuine LEGO bricks): https://www.habricks.com/product/prussian-express-coach/
  19. I wrote a review of the set on 1000steine.de: https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=439107#id439107 This is in German but you can use an online translator: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.1000steine.de%2Fde%2Fgemeinschaft%2Fforum%2F%3Fentry%3D1%26id%3D439107%23id439107 Link to some videos from the train in motion:

  24. Apologies!!!! I missed those (why ever). Unfortunately these are stickers as well (4 all together) I actually do not like the pillars and I might replace the whole windscreen.
  25. Were there a lot of stickers, or is it mostly printed parts? No, there are only stickers for the registration plates, the Mini logos at the front and the back and the round Mini logos on the sides. In total you will apply 6 small stickers. The thin lines on the sides are printed on the bricks.
