Great review, O magnificent overlord! Another review that makes me want to buy system. Too bad I suck at MOCing with them... (last time I felt I could, I spent... $250+ in sets that my little brother ended up getting)

Well, the basis of the story is kind of... unoriginal. I could easily have seen this go in a waaaay different direction, but I won't tell anyone about it (since Lego isn't taking it, I'm going to see what I can do to make a book off of it...)

We've got pixels, but no real pictures. Basically, if you want to see what we saw, pick about eight different shades of red and silver, and use the air brush tool in MS Paint

What was so funny? Who here is going to go back and buy all the old sets they missed off of Bricklink?

I'm honestly thinking of using these as a sort of investment. How much do you think these would be worth in, say, five years?

That draft was the first thing that made me realize "My hobby since I was 6 is actually ending. Once I have all the sets... gone! Nothing more... Nothing but story, and that won't even last long, considering they don't have the sets to back it up." Also, those megablocks gave me three seconds of "Wha? NO!!!" Then I realized Lego wouldn't ever release those... things.

I think that settles it. We're keeping Ben 10 in the Liscensed Quick question: Would Roboriders and Throwbots/Slizers be considered part of the Bionicle or Technic forum?

I've had a question that has been buzzing around in my head for the past few weeks that I'm surprised no one has asked yet: Will the replacement line for Bionicle be added as a part of the Bionicle forums? I know this seems like a pointless question, but still, it is simply something I feel a want to have answered.

EDIT: I just realized that I should probably make another topic for it, so I will.

Now it's just a race to see who can make the best sleighspeeder ! I won't be entering (I only own Bionicle), but I will be following...

I think I've got an idea on what Lego could do. Why doesn't Lego have a sort of "Bionicle: Universe" line, where they take one story, maybe lasting 1-2 years (about the same length as a playtheme lasts), spending time on different areas of the Bionicle universe. That way, they don't have to make up dumb excuses for changing the characters, we don't have to deal with a convoluted storyline, and the buyers of the sets (like I am) will be able to get something completely new, year after year. Bionicle could be the new Castle; As soon as something goes bad, give it half a year off, and get right back to it, but completely different.

VSF, you deserve your banning. Why couldn't the set look like this? I would actually pay for this, instead of it being one of those "oh, he likes bionicles, right?" gifts... The sub looks a lot like the original, which is another reason why I'm wondering why the Lego company couldn't have done this.

Or the set designers couldn't give crap about what happens in the story so long as it sells units.
