    I bought 4 of the original sets and built both of my models out of it :-) Good question. I don't own the 8258 set so I can't tell for sure. But you can change the coupling hight of my lowloader via the 2 big line actuators. So th loader can be easily coupled on different hights...

    Looks great. Looking forward to the daytime pictures. For lighter models my lowloader works fine. But the 42030 is definitely too heavy. Some improvement is needed on this...

    just for interested people... toys r us Germany currently gives 15% discount on lego... with that you can get the Arocs for 169 Euro (normal price 199 Euro) and the Crawler crane for 97 Euro (normals price here is 115 Euro)

    Hi Guys, as I don't like pneumatics, I decided to build it a bit different... meaning without the pneumatic parts (I know it's a sacrileg for all of you, who have waited decades for the new pneumatic parts:-)). And I also built a trailer for it... The Truck is drivable and steerable via RC and also the dumping of the bed is remote controlled. The trailers bed can be dumped manually.

    I also did some changes to the original design. I mounted third party wheels and closed the gaps in the engine hood :-)

    Hi, these are 'Gmade MT1901' tires. Price is around 20$ / 17 € per 2 tires. I'll send you a PM, where I bought it.

    there is a new video online. You can clearly see the pendular rear axle. And 'you can lift up to 1 kilogram'

    No he is using normal controller. Just check this youtube channel, there is a second video available. you can also see the box. There are using 1 M motor, one L motor, one XL motor and one servo as far as I can see on the box

    Hi everybody, thanks a lot for your feedback. @ Roo boy The length of the trailer is 66cm and the truck is 52cm. I haven't changed the length of the truck, it is still the originally length of 8285. @ squizz and Johnny P You have a PM :-) Here you can see the current status with chromed wheels and fuel tanks :-)

    Thanks Toa. I have already ran the motor a few times and currently the gears look brandnew :-) Will see in a few weeks how it looks then...

    So. I have already installed some chromed parts and wanted to share the pics with you. I am now just waiting for my chromed wheels.... I believe it is finished then, so I need a new project :-)

    6 times 8285 , thats crazy :-) I have modified my truck a bit. And took a photo with my 42009 to show the size of the trailer. But the 42009 is definitely to heavy for it :-)
