  1. The Hobo torso is supposed to be a pilot's jacket. I have it as well. It came from this red biplane thing. They look good, although I can't say this kind of thing hasn't been tried before and done better. Your Michael Jackson minifigure doesn't really look like him. I think you should use a fleshie head, since he...you know...
  2. They all look great! I like Atticus Finch the best-it looks exactly as I imagined him from the book. Nice hair. You might say the German soldiers are a little stereotyped, though. It looks like something from a comic book or something. Or perhaps that was your intention?
  3. Since he already has a signature, maybe we are misunderstanding his question? Maybe he is asking how to make himself a special image?
  4. http://www.youbrick.com/ Not a bad site design, but did they really have to ruin it with the YouTube ripoff? Most of the feedback I have seen at my own forum on this is negative. I doubt this will be a real competitor to Brickshelf. I myself am still hoping that BrickImage.net will be the one LEGO image host to rule them all.
  5. Hey all, only 1 month left to enter! Get those entries in! X-D
  6. Thanks for the feedback everyone! Yeah it was lots of fun. @Athos: No, I didn't think of that, unfortunately. :-P
  7. I just got back today from my family's trip to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA. We had tons of fun! The park itself is awesome. It spans over 2.2 million acres, bigger than the size of Rhode Island and Delaware put together. It's HUGE, and it takes a few hours to drive from one end of the park to the other. Everything is kept in pristine, untouched condition. There are only a few places in the park where there are buildings, along with food, restrooms, and such. First off, the "natural" element of the park is just amazing. It's like nothing I had ever seen before. Everything is entirely natural-all the animals and plants are in their natural habitat, with no human interruption(besides crazy photographers like myself). It's just outstanding and awe-inspiring to see these animals and the land itself so natural, untouched, and beautiful. It has probably the most interesting collection of strange and wonderful natural wonders in the world. Lots of geothermal and seismic activity make for really cool features, like hot springs, geysers, strange land formations, and the like. The land is the most beautiful I have ever seen. It's just breathtaking, you would have to see it to believe it. The animals were probably the coolest thing to see in the park. Sometimes you will find them near the road, with dozen(s) of people trying to take pictures. (Or running from them in the case of the more aggressive animals hehe) My favorite of them was the elk. The ones we saw(see my pics) were just really cool animals. They are big and majestic, yet they kind of look bored. hehe Also the buffalo(also called bison) were cool to see. They are truly gigantic animals, about as tall as a human and really big. The hot springs around the park were great as well. They are constantly bubbling and making noises that sound like a toilet flushing. The water inside them is boiling, if you touch it you could get burnt and you would die nearly instantly if you fell in. Also, the famous geyser Old Faithful was amazing to see. It's one of the "Wonders of the World" in the USA. Seeing it just erupt out of the ground was amazing. See my video. Check out these pics I selected out of the many I took, they are truly awesome. Click Here to see the photos Enjoy!
  8. Excellent minifigs! I really like them. It would kind of help if you gave a name, and maybe a short description to them though. I can't really compare them to the real thing this way. I have never watched Doctor Who so I have no clue X-D
  9. I don't like it at all-LEGO, what are you thinking? I've always kind of disliked "mechanical" looking sets like this one-too many Technic pieces. It looks like a cross between Bionicle, Throwbots, and Roboforce-doesn't even look like Exo-Force, or like Jinzoningen said, Anime-ish at all.
  10. Check out this large model of the Taipei 101 Tower, the world's tallest skyscraper, over at iBricks: http://ibricks.org/index.php?showtopic=3585 All I can say is, wow!
  11. I never said that was what happened on my forum, I gave that as an example of a possible outcome. I did not say that that is what will happen-I said that is a possibility. Which is undeniably true. Who else would his a "a bunch of people thinking they are right" statement be directed to? There is only one group of people that think that way (at least in a spiritual context), they are "fundamentalists", which means you believe in the absolute truth of your religion and the falseness of others. Of course it could also apply to atheists thinking that they are right in their thinking that there is no God or anything. Thus adding atheists to the list of people possibly offended by his statement.
  12. "The problem with religion on a forum is the same as it is in real life. A handful of missionaries can fly to a jungle to preach to the "savages" of their god, only to find the savages have a god that says praise is in the form of consuming their flesh. Hey, it's happened. One can talk respect and understanding all they want, but in the end, it's a bunch of people thinking they're right, backed by this creator of all things... arguing with a bunch of people thinking they're right, backed by their creator of all things. Oh yes. Conflict unavoidable. Resolution impossible." Contradictory: "Arguing with a bunch of people thinking they're right" He is doing the same thing-"Religion is wrong and I am right". Is it not true that Jinzo himself is implying that he is right and they are wrong? It is argumentative for a simple reason: His statements are insulting to people who are actually "religious"-his "a bunch of people thinking they're right" statement is a huge generalization. Backed up by what? His own personal opinion?
  13. Very nice! 8/10 I believe the shield is from a Knight's Kingdom set, it was the green guy's shield.
  14. I did that once on a forum I used to run and I had to shut it down within a couple days. I mean really, what is the actual point of religious discussion between people of different beliefs? "Hi, I'm a Christian. Hi, I'm a Jew. Hi, I'm an atheist." It always ends up either a bunch of pointless discussion like that, or something worse. People inevitably start arguing. It simply doesn't work... Jinzoningen, you're contradicting yourself here-you're saying that a religious forum would not work because of people being disrespectful and argumentative, yet that is exactly what you yourself are doing, more so than anyone else in this topic. It's kind of funny seeing someone put down people who "think they are so right" when you yourself share this viewpoint. As others have said, forums like that are simply potential arguments. The only good purpose I have ever seen religious discussion do online(besides on a religious website) is an "agree to disagree" kind of thing that really has no place on Eurobricks.
  15. Glad to hear we can stay, 4J. Assuming we're mature enough... Of course we all know I am. *y*
  16. Maybe there needs to be a "mature under-18s" group X-D My only question here is if the EB leadership actually wants us to leave or stay. I know 4J said that but I haven't seen it "official" anywhere yet. When you have to use the Search button to clarify a rule, you can assume it's like Captain Barbossa says... "They're more a set of guidelines, than rules."
  17. Not sure what you're talking about, where does it say that? EDIT: Nevermind, found it http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...showtopic=10152 Guess I'm out of here too X-D
  18. Are you referring to COPPA?
  19. Good luck with the site :-)
  20. (Forgive me for double posting) The URL of the iBricks forum changed, so I've updated the URL. Apologies to anyone who clicked the link and it didn't work :-P
  21. Yep, I'm sure you can throw something together in 2 months. ;-)
  22. It looks very cool! Nice design on the fake box and such. It seems to be missing actual humanoid robots though.
  23. Welcome to EB Al Freddo ;) Very nice MOC! It looks very well designed and true to the era. The only thing I notice is that it doesn't look very piratey...it doesn't appear to be on an ocean or anything, and besides the soldiers there's nothing pointing to pirate stuff. Not that that spoils the MOC or anything, but this seems like it might have gone in the History & Adventure forum just as well. ;)
