A white bicycle sounds nice, but I won't buy the new police station I think. And I'm really looking forward to the new minifigure series. A bikeracer, rapper, girl with snowboard etc. Sounds like cool figs.

Right now this set costs only €79,95 in Holland (bol.com)

I've 'pimped' it a little this afternoon... and RESULT:

Nice hotrod! thanks!

OK, great! I'm gonna try this.

Today I replaced the grey wheels of the bus by white ones. Looks much better...
-
Thanks, it looks better in my opinion. But what about the bigger (I guess 11,5 mm) wheels like the trucks, sportscar, busses etc.?

Hi everybody, One of the things I don't really like on city cars in Lego are the wheels. Most of the time they are white or medium grey. Now I have the idea to put chrome wheels from the Lego Racers on the city cars (like the smart car and red sportcar). Racers wheels look like this: What do you guys (and girls) think? Will these wheels fit and look nice on city vehicles? Does anybody have done this before/ pics? What Racers sets are the best to get enough wheels? Looks like the small ones will fit on the Smart car like below: But in what sets are the bigger ones that per example will fit on the red sportcar, the firetrucks etc.

I've uploaded it on my Brickshelf folder... Will be available soon... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=443071 No, I'm not showing it on events...

too much €173,- How do I attach or link a ldd- file here? It says I haven't got the rights...
-
No problem, you can have it... But how do I do that?
-
Today I got it... First pics: Off course I'll improve things later on... (platforms, details, more minifigs etc.)
-
I hate the fact that TLG keep selling straight roadplates and crossroads in one package. That's why I came up with this idea: Convert the t- junction plate into a straight roadplate. It saves me another 10€

Today I finished my new LDD- project. It's a new trainstation for my layout. I'll guess, you'll know where I got my inspiration for this creation... I have ordered the bricks today and expect to show you the brickversion of this MOC in the next few weeks... The front: I'm gonna attach platforms later like this... And off course I will add details like flowers, trackbumpers, minifigs, signs etc. Any comments to make it better? Cheers

I really like the touringcar. Great choice to use the lime green colour. Conclusion: I like this set. The tram and touringcar are awesome! Nice minifigs and some new pieces make this set a must- buy. If someone has got a question, I'll try to answer it... More pics of this set (integrated in my layout) will come... I will in 10 minutes....

INDEXED Review set 8404 Public Transport * Fans' choice 2010 * Set nr: 8404 Theme: City Pieces: ??? Not mentioned on the box. Age: 6 - 12 (and older) Building time: I did it in 200 minutes Price: €99,99 Bought at TRU Mönchengladbach (Germany) Allright, let's start! Front of the box: Back of the box: Opening the box and watch the pieces: Lots of stickers: First bag of pieces: Busstop I love the green bike: When it's finished: It's a simple design, but it's ok. I don't like the 2x4 blue plate, I'll remove that... On the sticker, there's a timetable. The car is ok. I like the front sticker with grill. Perhaps, the wheels look too big... We go on with the streetsweeper (cleaning vehicle): It's nice, but I had preffered a 4-wide... Now, what we have all been waiting for... The tram Three bags of pieces for this one... This is how the small trainwheels are attached. Simple, but effective... The middle- car has movable wheels like this (neccesary to take curves I think): The cars are connected like this: There are many stickers to add, but I like it better without those... The tram perfectly fits and rides on the regular traintracks. Motorize it will be very hard though I guess. The small shop is simple. I don't like it, but for kids it's nice to play with... The green bins in this set are nice and I also like the map. The shop sells postcards and coffee. Pieces for the tram- platform: It's ok...

Today, I went on a daytrip by train (from Utrecht Netherlands to Mönchengladbach Germany; I know I'm crazy) and I got the 8404 Public transport set at TRU over there . Tommorow, I'll upload pics and write a review of this set.

Congrats to Spain. They have deserved to win. Spain and Germany were the best teams in my opinion. Holland had a great tournament.
-
So, I understand that the Toys R Us stores in Germany sell 8404 public transport already? Right now, I'm considering to take a train to Mönchengladbach and have a look over there. Does anybody know if the Toys R us over there sell this set? Thanks (Danke :))
