  1. "I could easily see, for example, a theme of medieval knight type figures much like the old Knights Kingdom action figures of years past." - Rocketbilly Now that would be quite interesting However, I still think it would be a very abrupt move by Lego to cancel Hero Factory. I thought TLC cancels themes when they become unpopular or if it's a licensed theme. For example, both Bionicle and Lego Star Wars were planned to be cancelled at an earlier date, but the themes got extended due to their popularity. I would be suprised if Lego cancelled a theme while it was still popular.
  2. Love the use of Rocka's helmet and the tongue design
  3. True, but to be honest, why would TLC end Hero Factory after next year? From my impression, the theme is selling well and is still popular among fans. They will only end it when the theme stops bringing them profits.
  4. I know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know where I can get Speeda Demon in the UK apart from a Lego store?
  5. New Hero Factory sets are out in the UK at Argos! But I don't understand why it took so long for the sets to release in the UK this year
  6. I don't think they're out yet unfortunately, which is kinda weird since hero factory/bionicle summer sets normally release during late June/early July. However, the new argos catalogue is coming out this saturday on the 21st and im guessing it will have the summer sets Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks!
  7. To be honest these aren't great, they're brilliant! I especially love the re-design of toa Matau and of the slizers (who have a very unique build). Your other designs are also really good, but Ricardo is clearly the winner out of them. Keep up the great moc's
  8. Yes, a grim reaper would be awesome, especially using vezon's cape (or something similar) But what I really want to see is some kind of massive set like the skopio, but with Hero Factory's building system. I mean I thought Witch Doctor was brilliant and I just want to see bigger and more ingenious designs
  9. Yeah, it has been quiet lately, probably because the images for the summer sets have already been posted and all we have to look forward to now is the Breakout episode/s, which hasn't been broadcasted yet, except in Korea. Lego uploaded two new videos of Furno and Jawblade's character profiles - pretty much the same thing we've already seen, except at two parts, one where Furno glows yellow and rises for some reason, and Jawblade punching 2.0 Stormer (which looked pathetically weak ) http://herofactory.lego.com/en-gb/default.aspx?icmp=COUKFR8HeroFactory
  10. Ok, now this is weird: Guess this is pretty much proof that stringer is meant to be in the winter wave rather than the summer wave (and vice versa for Breez) - or maybe Lego has another reason for doing this? But either way, I'm glad we get to see stringer in action so early (and more scenes with voltix) I wonder why Hong Kong Toysrus has uploaded this, was it a mistake, or did they do it intentionally.
  11. Haha, true that isn't a very good reason to be able to get in . I'm probably wrong, but I thought it's also open to the public, well thats what I got from their site. Still can't wait to see the sets either way.
  12. I really would have liked to go and see the summer wave of hero factory, but I was just too busy that week, but I wouldn't of minded making an account on it. Hopefully, someone will tell us some information on it soon.
  13. Hmm... mixed opinions. Still can't get over how Bulk and Nex have a very similar colour scheme (silver/white and orange) and I'm disappointed that we only get one innovative/new weapon (Nex's laser). Stringer has an appealing colour scheme to me but again, his only weapon is a slightly altered version of the new launcher. Voltix is good, but I do feel that there are too many colours on him (I mean white, yellow, red, dark grey and purple all on one set ) However, I must say that he does have some particularly interesting new pieces and the fact that he's one of the first sets to have a large amount of purple pieces is a huge pro. I'm probably not gonna pick up either Stormer or Speeda Demon, but I have to admit that a lot of thought and new pieces have been put into them and they are very good sets IMO. It's just that XL sets and bikes don't really appeal to me. XT4 and Core Hunter are the higlights of the next wave for me. Core Hunter just seems well made - good colour scheme, new helmet, fairly good weapons (but his melee weapon could have been more inventive), while XT4 has a an entirely new build. I've never seen a set (except Kiina) that hasn't used a proper torso before and I love his buzzsaw and laser (as I do of Nex, but his overall appearance puts me off on buying him). Pretty good wave, but my real complaint is that there isn't many new pieces like the Winter wave where we got a mace, shield, more new helmets, acid piece on Toxic Reapa, weapon belt, new shoulder armour and a sword piece. Whereas this wave we've got the buzzsaw, another new sword, laser and the electric pieces. Sets could change during their final release of course, but I can't imagine TLC changing their weapons.
  14. Fair point, but if they're not, then I don't have a clue why TLC had shown more of voltix and springer than breez and thornraxx considering that if they couldn't show the latter earlier, then they could have just cut them out and leave it as that. To be honest, I guess I'm kind of bias for the limited editon thing since I can't wait for the summer sets
  15. The Hero Factory website has some new videos of rocka and black phantom titled "character spot". Some new scenes including voltix fighting Rocka (in Rocka's character spot) http://herofactory.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx Those who said that breez and thornaxx are probably being replaced by stringer and voltix are probably correct. I'm excited about voltix making an appearance, but sad about not seeing aything on breez or thronraxx. I'm starting to think that maybe stringer an voltix could be a limited editon set (like bulk and vapour) since I can't find any other reason to why they are shown so early. Oh and for some reason, Rocka 4.0 is running with Furno 2.0. Guess this confirms that the other heroes go back to their 2.0 forms after the savage planet arc.
  16. Plus yet another (now clear) picture of stringer: http://herofactory.lego.com/en-us/story/default.aspx - I wonder why they're showing so much of him.
  17. Here you go
  18. --> overview of breakout series-0.31 another image of stringer I think (funny they support him being attacked) -The end of the video tells us that there is a "mini movie" online (no episodes?) -Still no mention/appearance of Breez? -Some minor new scenes (e.g. 0.03 - 0.09) Sorry for the re-post if someone had already posted this. Interesting to why TLC isn't showing Breez and instead are showing us Stringer.
  19. 80 Wow, I didn't know that. Guess you learn something everyday. On another note, you can buy products from amazon.de from the UK? That will certainly make things easier in future.
  20. Well, I hope this isn't a Kaxium V3 again . Never found this guy normally, only got him through Ebay. He wasn't in local stores, magazines or catalouges.
  21. Haha! Yes, exactly what I would do if I could! I really want rocka since I'm changing his xl form. I dislike both his claw and his stand alone thornnax launcher, so I'm altering his weapon set as well as making his arms have more posibility. Not to mention I can finally build rocka 3.0, since all I'm missing is his feet.
  22. Breakout sets available on the UK Lego website . And just called Bluewater lego store and they said they have loads in stock. Breez and Thronraxx seem to be missing their pictures though.
  23. Does anyone know when the breakout/4.0 sets come out in the UK? On another note, I think the summer sets are very well done. It seems they've generaly brought the villians through some very innovative designs and although some aspects on the heroes are not so appealing (i.e. their colour schemes), these are still early preliminary images (for me, I can't even see what weapons/gear they have) and much can change. For instance, we had witch doctor's staff reduced in length for its final release and in the end, furno 3.0 didn't have those extra armour pieces on his thighs. I consider that the breakout series (winter & summer wave) is becomming very creative and interesting while maintaining the hero factory feel of dispatcing heroes to fight off bad guys. Prices for the sets are not so good, but I'm all for the new packaging (which imo adds to the "new factor") and figures .
  24. You can get those from pick a brick? Cool, I didn't know that before.
  25. That's one awesome snake. Much credit to a-tree. I wonder how many natalie brezes a-tree needed to buy in order to make that, must of cost a fortune
