Thanks for taking the time to provide all your thoughtful comments, TheOtters! Just to provide some rationale for everything... 1. & 4. I probably should've mentioned this in the story section, but this building is supposed to part of a larger fortress (not present, since it's a medium category and I honestly don't have the time/bricks to build what I'd like to) built into a rocky beach. The two different colors, gray and white, are supposed to represent the rock and the fortress foundation, respectively. This building is situated over a semi-natural path to the beach, where you can see the beginning of a longer (again, not shown because it's a medium entry) dock. This section of the hypothetical fortress is a small peninsula jutting out of a more expansive cliff. If you can imagine the following... Behind this building would extend the roof (and rest of the building), which would be used as a staging area for cargo to be lifted up over the building, past the low cliffs, and onto a ship near the dock. 2. & 3. I agree that the lighting in the bedroom is borderline too dark, in terms of being able to see everything comfortably. It's quite hard to get light into that part of the building, without having too much and thus making it look odd. However, in light of the suggestions with the cup and the darkness, I will probably photograph the scene again and try to address both ideas together. The black tile you mention is indeed supposed to have came from the bed, as it was a pillow on it. With this said, keep your eyes open for a revision on that photograph !

It's actually just supposed to be Jack holding his bandana in front of his mouth in an effort to hold back his laughter. I agree with you 100%, and the only reason it isn't is because that position is very hard to maintain and is essentially a balancing act . So, I decided not to dwell on it too much. Also, I meant it to represent a cup just falling over, not one that has been down for a bit.

Seems like their idea worked, doesn't it? Someone isn't doing their job... Nevertheless, these two won't have the last laugh... you can bet on that. I hope you've all enjoyed my entry! Any feedback or suggestions are greatly appreciated, whether it be regarding the MOC, photography, picture formatting, or anything else! Also, additional pictures can be found on my Flickr page. Be sure to check it out if you're interested in seeing some other perspectives. I realized that in the above pictures there aren't any good angles on the opposing side of the interior, but they can be seen on the said Flickr page.

Joe H replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
It is . http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Brickmaster-Pir...8707&sr=8-1 ~$16 at Amazon. -
Signed! The theme is incomplete as it stands - I could understand if they were doing this with the Castle theme (though I wouldn't want that either), but certainly not Pirates!!

Petition: We want the Pirates Advent Calender in the United States
Joe H replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
I would truly appreciate if this years Pirates Advent Calendar was available to U.S. customers, signed! Thanks for the initiative, Bonaparte! -
I've posted a few times here and there on the EB Forums, and never properly introduced myself, so here goes! When I was a kid, I was an avid LEGO user (bit too late for a lot of my favorite sets in the Pirate and Castle lines though ). After a little hiatus with entering college, etc., I re-discovered my interest in them and currently enjoy building/collecting in some of my free time at 21. The Pirate and Castle lines (of old and new) are still my favorite and I look forward to their future! When I came across the Eurobricks site, and started checking the forums regularly, I saw that it was a great community of people with a lot of interesting ideas and stories, so here I am now . So, now if you see a post by me, you have something to connect me to!

MOC: Hill House; Homage to the Horror Genre
Joe H replied to einsteinonthebeach's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, this is an awesome MOC! I love the blood pouring from the walls, the pentagram, and my favorite, the blood aqueduct! -
I also have some dirty sails that came in a recent purchase at a garage sale, and would also like to hear what types of products people have had success with, when it comes to the cloth sails. I'm reluctant to try anything that would be used with clothing for sails with printed patterns (i.e. the pattern on the trading ship of the Imperial Trading Post set), though it seems like a safe idea at first thought.

Love the MOC and the poem-description that goes along with it, awesome work!

Where have all the pirate sets gone in Australia?
Joe H replied to Melbourne pirate fan '87's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'd love a return of the polybag impulses that used to be found in WalMart, and generally all over. For some reason they just have a different feel than the boxed versions, and I'd imagine they'd be cheaper to make/ship. -

It's odd, in the Northeast it's rather difficult to get the impulses (excluding Toys'R'Us which charges ~$6 for a $3.49 set, a rip-off to me). I've found that Boscovs does have them, but only a couple here and there. I've never seen them in Target (are they in a different section than the typical Lego layout?) though. -

Seems that this problem is mostly outside of the U.S., since I know here we have the choices of Target, WalMart and Toys'R'Us, where you can usually find a few of the Pirates sets at each. Can only get Shipwreck Hideout at Toys'R'Us, though, from what I've seen. -
Thanks for the easy and rapid transaction!

My Brickbeard's Bounty had the light green torso, but my Cannon Battle and Kraken Attackin' both had the dark green torsos. All bought around the same time, but the BB was from Ebay, and the Cannon Battle/Kraken Attackin' were bought on clearance (yes!) at Walmart.

Hey, think I may be interested in a Dwarf Mine and Troll Ship. Send me an e-mail at Haegej@gmail.com if you're interested and we can go from there (would be paying via PayPal if I decide to buy them). Thanks!

I may be interested in buying them. Either send me a pm or an e-mail to Haegej@gmail.com, thanks!

Yes, I'm familiar with using Forums, and did just that. Sorry, but I must've missed the threads if there were any. Thanks for the answers everyone, makes sense now.

Hi, New to the forums here (as you can tell by my post count!), and I was wondering - anyone know what happened to the Lego Legends sets - as in, are there any plans in continuing the line, or was it said at some point that it was done? Haven't seen any recent ones, which made me wonder. Thanks!
