i found this today at lego.com does anybody know more about this set? when is it going to be out?

i cant seem to be able to change my avatar i removed the old one and then uploded a new one but it keeps on showing the old one in new dimencions! any idea why? thanks

nice!!! now all we need is an airport to fit this design..like something from the 1930s or 40s... its an era lego hasnt really got into..at list for buildings..

ecxellent work there my friend! i like how it dosent have the bat-wings at the rear like the official one..i hate those! would give it 4/5 one point goes for not seing the cockpit...would you show us what u did there?

i beilive that lego city can sell equally to girls and boys if they make more interesting sets that appeal to them boath..the hospital line should be for boys and girls but there isnt a girl doctor patient or nurse...and how did lego deside that boys dont want any girl figures?we are mostly boys here and we want them..and when i was a boy at the age of 10 i still wanted them...who was going to be the mother or the sister in the house i build? this days the city line is all about policemen firemen and workers...in the old days we had houses restaurants an hospitals with women doctors...if they bring back sets like that then they would appeal to boath girls and boys. i dont think girls want to chase theives with the police car but they may want to build a normal town..and not a pink town like paradisa...pink is for baby girls and not for girls at the age of 10 or 12... (when will TLC hear us?) :-) phoinix

i agree that the new size of things looks very good and in better scale with figs but lego isnt suposed to be a model of the world but a representation of things so everything dosent have to be the right size...think of a lego mug or a glass compared to the minifig..its huge!! but it looks ok because its in our imagination... just imagine!!!not just build to the right scale... :-) phoinix

got the set the other day..AMAZING lego design..very good!!!but now all my other helicopters look like dwarfs! they are nothing compared to this one...lego is getting bigger-size wise- why are they growing so big so suddenly? i just wish the buildings were so big and not like the new hospital that dosent have enough room... anyhow...great set!!! and a very nice review i might say! :-) phoinix

so greece turns out to be on the top 5 for this years polls and odds in bets...cyprus is not doing very well thow.i hope it picks up... my fovourite songs up to now are the ones from Malta Romania and Spain so do you have a favourite yet? have you watched the video clips? any news regarding the contest in your countries? :-) phoinix

Building bonanza-4886 set is very good to get house building elements..ofcourse it only has 2 doors and its ecxpensive but you can get very good pieces...this was a real deluxe set!! lego should bring more sets like that in the creator and basic-bucket zone... (maby it would help if i say please...PLEASE TLG moreeeeee) *sweet* phoinix

i dont like that this set dosent have the classic doors and windows.. it only has more <insert that tiresome argument> doors that make the set more duplo than system. .it also dosent have any system trees or flowers..where did all those parts go?where can we get the good old doors? i know that there is a set on lego.com with many doors and windows but we dont see those sets at our local toy stores...the older basic sets used to have many cool pieces to build from a house to a port and any other building you thought of..they also used to have wheels and car parts..now all that is sold seperate.. can any of you recomend a set that is out now where we can get the real system windows?(since i live in greece i cant order from S&H) so i wouldnt call this a deluxe set its just another bucket... it might be good but not as good as the oldest basic starter sets.. the only good think about this is that it has 3 minifig and one of them is a girl... ;-) :-) phoinix

in my previous posts i complained about the lego shelf space and variety in greece.. Well the news is that they are making a BIG come back as from today lego takes up 3 times the shelf space than it used to and is a better place in the store.. a huge variety of themes and boxes are now availiable! they even brought some new SW and HP after i was told that we wouldnt see any more of that here!! Yes this is a happy happy happy day!!! X-D X-D X-D and to top that there are 2 LEGO tv ads now on TV!!! seems like lego has decided to open up to new markets!!! (did i say i was happy?) :-) phoinix

i dont see the point of this line... i think is one of the worse ever made by lego to "dark" and "deadly".. not my idea for what lego should be making.. and are those dinos one piece? :-) phoinix

where do you think that lego should invest to make a good profit on sales?what series of products is the one that can bring on the most changes and the biggest ecxpanssion? :-| We know for a fact that SW has done great over these 6 years *vader* we also know that there license is ecxpanded up to 2011..was that a good move for the company?Do you think that they will find enough ideas to sell? to my point of view SW was a great move for 1999 but i dont think ecxpanding the lisence is such a good idea..the films are all out and there is not another one to wait for. I think SW sells more to sw fans than to lego fans...(but thats good for TLG as long as it does well) *yoda* my opinion is that lego should stop basing their sales on films cartoons and other lisences!they are going to run out of ideas sooner or later...and if i wanted to make batman i would have made it my self...this is LEGO people!lets make our own stuff! does anyone else see that they look very alike or is it just me?.just foun this on the net while searching playmobil stuff..i think the design of there new airport looks very much like the lego one...so this is what they mean by "globalization"!!! (at list they get girls!)

i was able to find every set in the catalogue during the 1980s in cyprus.. now a couple of stores that used to sell lego there dont anymore.. there are only two remaining toy stores that sell lego in cyprus..at list in the city were i live.(i am a cypriot but i live in greece now).and the wages in cyprus are deffinitely higher than in greece..! another problem is that we cant order from lego.com so is lego a company for a few people? what about the rest of us that love lego? is lego cutting back ecxpences by exporting less and less in some countries? .my local stores here in greece ordered there lego ages ago and still they dont have the full line (and they never will) its ok to cut back if u r not doing well in some places but what happens with the fans?shouldnt they find another way to fill our needs? i could go on ordering from e-bay but i dont fell comfortable with online shopping...and what if u dont have a credit-card? getting lego gets more and more difficult around here! |-/ |-/ (makes me feel like a second-class customer) :-) phoinix

playmobil is doing great here in greece..wish i could say that for lego as well.. playmobil has a whole section at my local toy store and they always have them at the shops window..but u dont see any lego there either..Megablocks takes up almost the same space as lego does..parents dont even know the difference between them.."its ok as long as its bricks" so they dont pay attention..The bigger sets are too ecxpensive so we have a LOT of harry potter older sets but the price is still the same as it was 3 years ago when they were new..we also have lots of racers and technic sets which sell pretty well but only the smaller sets..the huge once that cost over 100 euro are going to be there for a long time if they dont have a sale soon.. So the conclusion for greece marketers is no more HP and no huge sets..small sets sell good i guess..the doctors car the ambulance and the airport firetruck left the shelves pretty quick...(is my spelling like REAlly bad??) the lego clothes store just closed recently wasnt doing well either.. i think what the parents see is very ecxpensive toys when they can get smth a lot cheeper and their kid will still enjoy it..nowadays kids change their minds pretty easily regarding to what toy they like and dislike..its all about whats hip and whats on the movies and tv..lego did very well with SW but i dont think they should base their marketing on movies.. Lego is a toy to keep for a loooong time (still got mine which i have been collecting for 20 years!!) so marketers should turn to the kids who can apretiate it!!making more designer more creator and more basic sets for the children to discover the world with!even more educational sets like the dacta line (never so that in greece foun it on the net) so i guess lego is not doing well in greece or in cyprus marketers turn to cheeper more economical toys to make a good profit from it.. hope lego isnt in any trouble thow..i guess they learned there lesson..back in 2000 they had terrible products!!but i guess they are begining to turn to more basic stuff..hope to see a lot more like that in the future.. :-) phoinix

this set is not in the greek catalogue thow the new helicopter the doctors car and the ambulance are availiable.. i asked if its coming and they said NO! :'-( no market in greece for this set! boys just want cars and chopers and some more cars and maybe a boat..no buildings if they are not police stations! why did i play with the lego hospital when i was a child?? (there has to be smth wrong with me X-O ) as for the nurse issue i dont understand why there isnt one or at list a sick lady in the hospital.in the old ambulance before this there was one...but i guess if the new lego cities dont have ANY women then there isnt going to be a sick one either!! hehehehehehe :-P :-P someone should tell TLC that we are also bying lego and we give a lot more money than 4 year olds for our collections! :-) phoinix PS:great review i can understand very clearly how this set is..but im not very fond of this set..i wish i could buy it so that i could make my own hospital...

the contest is on the 21st of may. regarding the politics i tend to vote for the l socialistic-communist party in my country so i would never say anything to offend the left wing party or any other in this forum..im trying my best to be polliticly correct thow cyprus has a lot of problems in this area..(no more politics i promise this descasion is about music and the contest) :-) phoinix
