  1. When I first saw an advertisement for it on TV, my first thought was, "That has got to be the worst title for a movie, ever!" They've since come out with some more interesting advertisements for it, but I still don't think I'll go.
  2. Well, I'm afraid I took it apart to start on a new ship, or I'd try to take some better pictures :) I was trying to do some different things with that ship, and some of them definately didn't work! I also wasn't thinking on some of the things. I had put a bed, treasure chest, etc. in the lower deck, but I didn't really make much of an attempt to put much else down there. The Captain is on the main deck, being offered a drink; my wife asked me if the sailor was trying to get him drunk, heh.
  3. I picked the Clipper, though mostly for sentimental reasons (it was the first big set from the Pirate theme that I got when I was younger).
  4. Nice! Thanks for posting it *sweet*
  5. The one I want most right now is Imperial Trading post, because that is the only pirate set from the early years (1989-1992) that I've never owned. I'd also like to get the later (1993-1997) big sets, as I never owned the Skull's Eye Schooner, Red Beard Runner, etc. I know my distinction between "later" and "early" is completely arbitrary, it mostly just has to do with when I was most actively building with Lego before I entered the dark ages. :)
  6. I'm listening to a debate between Kent Hovind and Matthew Rainbow on Google video.
  7. Thank you for your comments, especially the critiques. I will be sure to remember them the next time I'm working on a ship. It's wierd how you don't notice that something is wrong, until someone points it out to you, and then it seems so obvious that you aren't sure how you missed it! :) I'm from Latrobe, PA, which is about 50 miles directly East of Pittsburgh, so unfortunately I'm a few hours drive from Erie.
  8. Here are some pictures of a pirate ship I built yesterday. This is the first MOC I've posted on a forum. :) (I can't seem to post the pics, it says that "dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed"... ? )
  9. Very nice :) There are a few word choices that are a tad bit off on the English page(s)*, but other than that I like it. I've bookmarked it and will check back. I hope things go well. * I don't want it to seem like I'm nitpicking, but I've had a site before and it was frustrating when people would respond with comments that weren't specific, so I'll mention a couple things. On the poll, "poorly organized" would be better; and on the News page, "twelve" would be better than "twelf".
  10. Here are a couple pics of how I used to have my Lego organized. I bought the storage cabinet from Lowes, I got the two read storage units from Walmart, and got most of the other plastic storage at dollar stores. I just moved recently, and dumped all the Lego into big bins, so I'm in the middle or reorganizing them again (which I enjoy anyway). This time around I will probably go with more of the large cabinets with loose plastic containers, and less of the red drawered cabinets.
  11. I've been buying quite a bit on Ebay and Bricklink (thanks to a hefty tax return this year). Yesterday I got the Black Seas Barracuda and Caribbean Clipper. X-D
  12. Lately... The Triumph of Steel - Manowar Stop the Bleeding - Tourniquet
  13. I'm 26
  14. I just emerged from the dark ages in the last week or so, and it's probably going to be a week or more before I receive any of the items I've won on Ebay, so today I went out and got a couple things just to help my wife get used to using Legos. I got the Fireball Catapult from Kmart for 8, and a Tub of 805 blocks from Walmart for $20.
