LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
danim replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
my toysrus has an almost full box of series one, I have been going in every few weeks and buying a fig, on friday I went in and bought a cheerleader. -
Well RV Discovery has been in dry dock after the owners decided they wanted to keep the helicopter on the ship and the ship saftey team lead by Mr Siegfried who advised the owner that they could not keep the helicopter on the flight deck where it was. Also it was decided to add funnels as the crew were getting covered in soot as the fumes had nowhere to escape as well as them adding in a new comms system anyway on with the pics the new rear the lab which has grown slightly even thought the superstructure has been moved foward as the ROV control unit has been moved upstairs The new ROV command room and the new bridge what you will noticed is that the rooms are modular, this allows me to take it apart more easily as well as adding in new modules that I think may be required Please tell me what you think
-
I have rebuilt a lot of the ship after taking Siegfried's advice I have removed the top helipad and have moved it to the rear as well as adding in another deck to themain structure will post pics hopefully by the end of the day, if not tommorow
-
wow how did you get 28 cheerleaders, not sure what my fav is though
-
very nice Klaus love the police officer but there is one thing that is bothering me which is the lightbar, do you tink you could make it two plates high rather than three plates
-
it is not really distracting from my moc, if you feel the flight deck is not sutable where would you suggest moving it as the back has the sub and rov. I have added in bracing from the bow of the ship using two grey arials which makes it look slightly better. Also as a side note on ships the heli is not always held in a hanger, just look at the RV Calypso
-
RFA Dilligance is not the only ship to have the helicopter deck off the bridge, just have a look at this ship or this one which are more what my ship looks like
-
Hi Siegfried the helicopter on the bridge is taken from the british ship RFA Dilligance would the satcom be the radar on the top of the bridge, if so I will move that to the back
-
thanks for the comments lightning tiger, yes it is based on the fire boat hull because I decided Bricklingston have enough small fire craft that they do not need a larger craft. It is not just shipwrecks they dive but also underwater geographical formations as well as new sealife KielDaMan, glad you like it, the sub is based on the one from set 6774 apart from the lights added to the top and the claw. The helicopter is a bell 47 which is the same helicopter used on Jacques-Yves Cousteau's RV Calypso

ok here is londons prime mover / hooklift ps thanks to richard at ukemergency for the pics

Looks very good not seen one in real life but I do know that london fire brigade use one similar, if you would not mind I could post a pic of it

Here is my Moc of Bricklingston's research vessel she has a helipad, RHIB, ROV and a submarine and is capable of travelling anywhere in the world the rear of the ship the RHIB is used for transporting personnal to the ship as well as providing launch support for the ROV and the sub the bridge has a captian and navigator/ crane operator while down below deck there is the ROV operator and the professor with his lab, also seen is the hite lifeboats The sub being launched by the crane, as you can see the RHIB is on support while the deckhand is traking the movements of the sub and crane however before they send down the sub the ROV is launched, the RHIb is just off camera and for visits to remote locations where the RHIB and the ship can't go you can always take the helicopter Hope you have enjoyed this tour of RV Discovery, now off to explore the worlds oceans please comment , critisisms welcome as well

A couple of updates to Bricklingston The biggest one is the installation of the Bricklingston Cable Car which you can see in this topic http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40028&st=0&p=708361&hl=bricklingston&fromsearch=1entry708361 The hospital and the news station were demolished and the a new news station was built on the mountain top. The toy shop and the unused building wwere moved to where the news station was and Bricklingston Fancey Dress have taken up residance in the unused building but it was not big enough for them so they incresed the size of it The new hospital which is not finished yet and the park has had more trees planted please comment
-
for me it depends on what fig it is for example robot, ninga and crash test dummy have gone into my lego fancy dress shop while the nurse has moved into the hospital and the diver has, well gone diving

Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
danim replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Or series 2 when they are released -
going by the measurements and my calculations this lego model is going to be in 1/45th scale which is reasonably close to minifig scale, this is going to be an amazing set
-
Edinburgh had one for a short time but it has been replaced by part of the tram route

D2C Designers requesting feedback for 2012 models
danim replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
1. I buy them for the amazing structures they represent 2. Individual Appeal for some others it is the whole theme 3. Forth Rail Bridge Concorde 4. A monorail or A Handley Page Victor both in minifig scale 5. I love the work you guys do, it makes building lego fun however when building the creator sets as well as the sets like the statue of liberty the instructions make it very hard as you cannot see exactly where the pieces go and what peices are required, if you could do it the same way as technic sets or city sets it would be alot better I would also like to see these sets Town/ City a lego store A research vessel other theme Wall-e -
That is close for me, my nearest lego store is about 400miles (about 9 hours drive) then you have legoland about 9 and a half hours drive, we need a lego store in scotland Anyway back on topic, a very nice city as always, love the mcD truck, did I see one of your trucks on ebay a few days ago

I think it is this class http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNCB_Class_16 Class 16 operated by sncb for cross border operations
-
that is a moc, you can tell by the fact that there are old monorail tracks
