Let's be optimistic about possible new AC sets. This year, the Kingdoms theme had no winter wave but four new sets came out in summer. This winter, store shelves will be filled with the new City, Star Wars, Dino, DC sets which could distract buyers' attention from the new AC ones. Maybe that's why TLG could decide to release all 2012 AC sets in summer.

I think Alien Conquest will be released within two years, as it was with Mars Mission and Space Police 3.

Commander Schwartz, what did you want to become when you were a child? Besides a spaceman.

For me Alien Conquest isn't as cool as Space Police 3 which became my favorite space theme. Using the old-fashioned style of 50's and 60's movies about alien invasions is a bit embarrassing, I would prefer something more modern. But the theme is still very good, and I certainly will buy 7049, 7051, 7052 and 7067. The mobile unit vehicle from 7066 looks bulky, but this set will join them. 7050 and 7065 disappointed me.

Thanks for the great review, this is definitely one of the best ships of Lego Space. Moreover, the set would look good even without its light system.

First thought: it would be nice to see a Pharaoh's Quest set with an air balloon.

Furthermore, the pilot of the motor boat is apparently wearing the same suit.

Pay attention to the zookeeper with a monkey from fifth series of collectable minifigures. Probably this new piece will be used for Jack the Monkey in the Black Pearl set.
