  1. All I want for Christmas is to ride a wild pony up a rainbow into the clouds...
  2. Congratulations on emerging from the shadows, legonut! That's a very impressive layout. I really like the red airport and the twin grand emporiums.
  3. OMG they're perfect. I would love to see a Duplo version of Uma Thurman, or Bruce Willis...
  4. Wow, that is amazing. It must have been a bit strange/scary to put it on your face like that!
  5. Cute MOC, I wish I had a library like that!
  6. Awesome MOC, I really love the use of the gears as wall ornaments, especially against the ridged background tiles...
  7. Yay for more Western-themed Lego! Pity it's licensed, and based on one movie (you can just sense this being a one-wave wonder, like, oh I don't know, Prince of Persia). Here's hoping they make at least one sequel, so that we can all pad out our collections...
  8. Wow, awesome MOC, you've really captured the scene. The cab in particular is stunning. Oddly, we only re-watched Fifth element recently for the I-don't-know-how-many time.
  9. "The Wrong Chimney"
  10. Awesome MOC...it's nice to see a representation of the scene that doesn't center around the main characters.
  11. My votes are as follows... 8. TheLegoDr 1 16. Sid Sidious 2 10. RoxYourBlox 2
  12. Cool review Plissken, I can't wait for these sets to come out. Hopefully they'll be as reasonably priced *fingers crossed*
  13. Wow, it's going to look awesome if you can pull it off at that scale, especially with loads of minifigs battling it out as such.
  14. Ah benny, you've done it again! I love your Hong Kong flavoured mocs. Keep up the good work!
  15. I have three and a half half written novels to my name! Actually, two are close to completion, so I really should pull my finger out and finish one of them, and then try to get it published (heh).
  16. Welcome to EB, Behind the Camera! Have fun!
  17. Awesome work Schfio factory! It's funny, we're actually re-watching Season 1 Gundam 00, and listening to that theme song. I love Hyde's voice, he's amazing. Anyway, before I start gushing about Jpop, thanks for the cool MOC.
  18. Hmm, don't know if I should claim responsibility for that photo, but I can honestly say the perfect alignment of glass ball and Sieggy's head was completely accidental...freaky . Nevertheless, great review Sieggy. I think you've highlighted the set's virtues and limitations in a very balanced way.
  19. Seriously, all that work you put into the base really paid off, it looks great, contrasting nicely with all that white.
  20. It's perfect. The end.
  21. Great review Sieggy! My main interest in this set is that it fills a hole in our ship collection, and I'm still annoyed that we missed out on the Airbender sets with its awesome battle cruiser. While I'm largely happy with it, it is a tad annoying that some detail is lacking. It should look awesome with some modification though...
  22. Yeah, I'm sure we were supposed to feel more sympathy for Anakin, but really, he's just so selfish, gullible and slow-witted that it beggars belief. He's worried about his mum, but doesn't do anything about it until its too late, even though he's breaking the Jedi code by blatantly pursuing Padme (I guess when she's changing into glamorous low-cut evening dresses every five minutes, who can blame him) (I know the point's already been made, but its just such a good point I couldn't help myself). Palpatine positively drops hints left right and center that he's a sith lord while they're at the opera, and he just starts to have suspicions (but he's not alone there, the whole Jedi council drop the ball on that one). And then, because he's having a few bad dreams about Padme dying, switches teams in the space of a heartbeat when Palpatine promises he can save her...WTF??!!
  23. Following Sieggy's recent trouble, and reading your story, I can't help but feel that Customer Service at Shop@home has become a bit sloppy and half-hearted. We couldn't believe it when customer service tried to fob off Sieggy with a completely megablocks answer that didn't gel anyway. When Sieggy wrote back and refuted their claim, they changed their tune pretty fast, and now the problem is being rectified. But that really isn't the point, you shouldn't have to do that in the first place, if they are the ones who made the mistake. While your case is different, in that the mistake was initially with your mum making the order and not being aware of the PO box rule, customer service should still try harder to resolve things nicely. It's shocking that the order went through, obviously couldn't be delivered, and just sat there in the queue being ignored for two weeks until you complained about it. If they'd spotted that sooner and notified you of the problem, you might have still received the promotional set.
  24. Awesome review Hinckley! I don't know what all the fuss is about with regard to this line. How can anyone look at the sets and not fall in love?? My heart melts just looking at the great array of new pieces and colours, it's just so freakin' gorgeous. We never tried to push our daughter to like conventional "girly" toys, she did that all by herself, so maybe there's something to be said for this kind of marketing. I love your character creations, especially the combination using the Wonder Woman hair . By the way, you look great as a blonde..
  25. Thanks for the great review Brickthing, Splitface looks very cool. I have to admit, I'm partial to the whole "incomplete" or "haphazardly-put-together" robot look (Exia Repair in the first episode of second season Gundam 00 looks awesomely cool). And I love the new packaging for this line too.
