Hey Peeps, I'm curious to know if most collectors strictly stick to specific themes for their collection. I'm an AFOL and working professional. I could afford to buy most (if not all) sets released each year, obviously my interest excludes duplo/juniors. However I'm running out of storage room, plus I don't get the time to open all the sets! So, my dilemma is the following - I just like all themes for mostly their exotic colours / unique parts / printed bricks / unique minifigs. But I know I should just consolidate to maybe five themes a year only. Anyone else in the same situation? Interested to know your situation.

Put a few hippies at the front of the store and you're set!

Magnifico! Oh wait.... that's Italian! TLG should do an Italian restaurant next, with outdoor dining on the first level.

S11 is in Dubai. Found them this weekend. -
A SWAT commando would be nice. Marshmellow Man mascot (who kinda looks like the Michelin Man).

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
train_nut replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I wonder why lego changed the distribution model for this series. It's like they only want people to complete two sets per box. It's fine by me (an AFOL) who buys cmf's in boxes, but think about the poor kids. I saw this youtube video where this guy opened 50 packs and couldn't complete one complete set! He ended like having 8 or 9 English constables and like 8 rock climbers. -

The 'Golden Age' of Lego, is it now?
train_nut replied to Hey Joe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Definitely agree with GRogall, 2007 is THE year that the second golden age began. Unsurprisingly that was the same year I came out of the closet and bought lego again. As a working professional, I bought all the cornerstone sets - eiffel, mil falcon, cafe corner, market street - you bet. -
Apologies if someone's mentioned these ideas before in the thread: Restauants Amusement park theme - with working rides! Circus Factory Ferry with terminal

It's because of "Quantitive Easing" or the US printing money in another words. The value of one US dollar is not what it was two years ago.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26

Simply amazing! I have nearly all the 'significant' castle sets, but missing the creativity and talent (which you truly exhibit). Well done. Call me if you ever wanted to sell it! ; ) -
Awesome, dude! Fantastic with such attention to details.

Meh... Might only get the boxer, tennis player and swimmer, so that my 'regular' CMF's can have someone to compete against.

Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets

102 Romans! That's a lot of boxes! I hit the stores when S6 came into town and got 47 Romans. I did feel a little guilt but lego's not that big in Dubai. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
train_nut replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 6 just hit my city last week. At first i nearly gave up on the roman. I was feeling for the shield (which in my mind was quite big) but after 14 hand picked randoms, i was out of luck. However i went back to the store but felt the spear that time. Next thing i know i've raked up 30 romans ( after i did a LOT of driving). I'm a happy chappy now!
