New element: Brick 1 x 1 with stud on 1 side
Milan replied to Rick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My mistake, sorry, will not happen again! I did read it all, but it looks like I did not read well... -
Your MOC is very creative! Altought I think you should use some of the suggestions of the other guys. MOC is very clean looking and I like that very much. Ideas are great!

Excellent build, man! Angled section is awesome. I like partial red section. Very nice!

It looks quite useful. As alternative for this part, I am using and I put this piece into the hole final result is like that new part. -
What a cute little set! Police cars are always welcomed by me! I really like how the flashlights are mounted. Excellent review!

One friend of mine got the big set from Lego, but with 1 piece missing. He asked them if he could receive that part somehow, They sent him the part in about 1 week. In the apology note they wrote they have very strict parts number control, as they measure the weight of the individual groups of parts with hi-sensitive electronic scale...so maybe that is the way how they count sets pieces.

I like this, but I knew I saw it somewhere few days before... until I saw it in your BS folder. I thought this was your sculptor's house. They are very similar. I like the roof and the cute shape. -

I agree with Sir Dillon. Maybe you just need to increase the resolution of the mosaic, I mean making it bigger. -
Renault Magnum
Milan replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the nice comments, guys! Stevex, thanks, man! Cam, actually, it can, but I don't have much of these old tires, so I can't spare them by burning them to the rims just kidding, it can drift in place and it looks pretty cool. Mark, thanks for the info about you having problems with grinding the motors...When I noticed that on 2 of 4 that motors, I went to the Lego store (my only non Bricklink purchase in Serbia) to argue with the salesman about that. Chassis is very stiff, but pretty short...on longer models it tends to buckle, so I usually add one more layer of beams. It is based on usual 6 wide box design, nothing specifically, only reference was PDF from Renault Magnum site, for proportion to be exact. VMLN8R, this is my favorite building style, technic hidden with the model team!!! Thanks again for comments! -
This is supposed to be something like safehouse in urban environment. On the press of a button, all of the windows are covered with thick shields, something like betmobile... And in that mode, inside is like a big can, but you can see everything outside on the screens inside,
-
That thing will never be produced, at least with that screen size...as Cam said...impractical. Even the 30 feet RVs doesn't have exterior screens that size. I have seen big screens, but only in concept car like this: This is some kind of urban mobile fortress, with only big screen at the back, no windows, camera at the roof provide real time video! On the picture here, back door is open and you can see big screen. Here doors are closed:

Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?

In some countries, it is forbidden for police to pursue hi speed bikes, because of the safety of the biker and surrounding people. -

Well, it is possible, there are bunch of youtube videos with guys showing of at 200mph, or running from police at the same speed... Only problem, lack of straight roads, and other people blocking roads... -

Hello, I want to present my first creation after my second dark age. Model of Renault Magnum truck, powered with Lego clear motors from set 4094. CHASSIS: As you can see on the pictures chassis is based around a six stud wide box running most of the length of the vehicle. This structure ended up very strong, mostly becouse of locking it by adding 1x4 and 1x6 technic bricks vertically. No twisting or weak spots this way. DRIVETRAIN: The motor from driving the truck comes from set 4094 set clear case motor. It is mounted to be beneath the upside down (steering) motor Reduction was 1:9 Placing the motor in such low-space frame was hard, because I wanted that the cabine can tilt and to have detailed engine, and also the gears and another motor for steering was needed to be placed, all that under the space of the cabin! STEERING: The motor from steering the truck comes from set 4094 set clear case motor. Of course, problem of no-space is still present. Solution was to place steer motor upside down so it can cope the gears properly and in addition, to act as a cab holder when it is not tilted. BODYWORK: I didn't have 2x2 corner round bricks so how to build edges? For the first time I am building truck this size so it has to have some slopes on sides. Solution was SNOT, with lots of 1x2 and 2x2 sloped bricks 45 on edges. In that way I got a new type of connecting the doors. Doors can be opened and the whole cab can tilt. Dashboard is SNOT and curved, steering wheel adjustable,so are the seats. Interior is finished with gearbox stick, pedals and a bed in blue color. This truck brought me back to Lego, for the second time, despite the limited amount of bricks and experience, I really liked how it looked like at the time. Real truck can be seen here: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/milanma/...agnum/idea1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/milanma/...agnum/idea2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/milanma/...agnum/idea3.jpg Studs cm Width 18 14.4 Length 42 33.6 Height 28 22.4 Weight 1.6 kg Comments are welcomed!

Masterpiece. It is som much better than the original. It looks much more solid, and bigger and detailed. Those rooms in the rock are fantastic! Canons are positioned very well. I like this fortress!

I have just tried it again... It looks good as LDView. Thats nice. But it is confusing to use it! Can you load your models from MLCad in SR? I tried, but models are without tires, pneumatic cylinders, LAs... Also, do you have big tires in SR? I have just a rims. I will have to try more, it has good stuff!

Cool. Looking good!
