  2. LEGO magazines are nearly impossible to find in digital format. But I do have the physical version of it that I could take pictures/scan. Was there something particular you wanted from it or did you want the whole magazine?
  3. LEGO under UV light can be weird, here is my 42056 Porsche under a blacklight: Regular vs. UV
  4. A good example of this is 41172 and 41176 from the Elves theme each have an extra dragon wing. And 41033 Jungle Falls Rescue has an extra vine piece.
  5. It looks like part # 3740 was used in the model. Unfortunately the last time it was in a set was 1989 so you won't find it on the LEGO website. But you can find it on Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3740#T=S&C=11&O={"color":11} or on Brickowl: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-tyre-24-x-43-technic-3740
  6. These are the Bionicle sections from the spring and summer 2003 catalogs (and the holiday 2001 cover):
  7. After playing around I came up with this: Six shooter separator
  8. Hmm, according to Brickset I have 2,347 sets, (1,386 unique) containing 688,282 parts and 5,665 minifigures. About 60 of the 'sets' are CMFs.
  9. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet, but the reason the Doctor Who set took so long to me revealed is the no new molds rule for Ideas. Since LEGO has made it very clear that they will not make an Ideas set that requires new molds, they had to release the sonic screwdriver in the dimensions level pack before revealing the Ideas set. LEGO must have really wanted to make this happen to make a loophole like this.
  10. In 2013 the LEGO company produced over 55,000,000,000 pieces, giving away 10,700,000 yearly (about 0.02% of total production) doesn't sound like all that much when you look at it that way.
  11. I wasn't getting my confirmation email this morning so I contacted support and was sent the link in less than 15 minutes. Click the "help" link at the bottom of the page and then "Contact support" in the box on the right side of the page.
  12. As far back as I can remember I've always tried to coordinate colors. Whenever I built something large, like a tower, I would start with a common color and build until I ran out, then I would start with another color and so on until I finished. At very least I would try to build with the colors symmetrical.
  13. When you can't bring yourself to throw away a single brick even though it's discolored and looks like it's been chewed on.
  14. Way to go, blast those clone bricks out of the water.
  15. Ah, that would be a poster for LEGO universe. If you go to universe.lego.com you should see this picture while the page is loading.
  16. I support LU for Mac. I'm pretty sure it will work for Mac though, all of their other software in the past few years has been designed for both Mac and PC.
  17. Very interesting, what set did it come in?
  18. If pirates do return in 2011 they aren't necessarily going to be licenced. They might just plan on re-releasing pirates about the same time as POTC comes out, and then use the pirate poularity generated to boost sales without having to pay for a licence with Disney. But if pirates aren't going to return, I'll only forgive TLG if they replace it with LEGO ninjas.
  19. I would buy two at least. I won't get the city one because it's basically the same thing every year and no new figures. Oh, and I'm sure we all want next year's special themed advent calendar to be available in the US too. -Signed-
  20. A 1: The bricks are in the "technic brick" category. A 2: Sand blue Hope that helped.
  21. Wow, and I thought I was the only one who got extra wing plates. I even had the same number of extra pieces as you. It's funny, when I finished the millenium falcon I thought I had skipped a page or two of instructions, but I guess not.
