  1. Greetings! I will have to agree! I am not a big fan of generic crap in my LEGO collection. Call me a purist but I don't see the kind of quality that you find in LEGO. I was tempted a long time ago to get an enlighten set ..... more on a whim of curiosity, but I don't see (or hear) anything appealing about them.
  2. Greetings! Nice review, to bad this set was not available for long...nice plane, but not what it is all made out to be.
  3. Greetings! Just a thought.... But it seems that this set came out as a result of the aftermath/frenzy that was the more detailed #4999 Vestas. Though the 7747 offered a nicely detailed truck I do believe the wind turbine was a bit shorthanded on the details (just my opinion). I believe that most of us would have been very happy with a $100-$120???? asking price for a set like the 4999 than the price the 7747 set went for. Set 4999 also included power functions with I believed made the set more desirable. Just a few thoughts....
  4. Greetings! Looking for a nice copy of the emerald night passeger car with the two passenger minifigs. I will accept new or used so long as it is complete. I would be willing to go as high as $40 USD depending on condition. I believe this to be more than fair price for only a 1/3 of the set. Someone out there would agree that it seems that ebay is full of people thinking that $60+ is a decent price for one of these. Please let me know. Thank you
  5. Greetings! This topic is already being discussed in the train section of this forum.
  6. Greetings! With the creator lighthouse sland and hillside house sets along with the "mystery" exclusive modular building and a new city bank.....and now this!!! Looks to be another fund taxing year! Any idea when this wonderful set will be released? I hope this is not another promotional set like the 4999 Vestas....took quite a long time to get a hold of one of those.
  7. Greetings! I am looking for a nice original copy of instructions for the 6383 Public Works set. I have found that the free copies available out there are not that easy to read and it makes it extremely difficult to build the set. Should there be a nice readable copy out there on the internet please let me know Thank you
  8. Greetings! Nice review! I had no idea this set was around until you pointed it out, my wallet thanks you! I just went and bought a copy on ebay which btw there is still a few more left...I think. Better huury!
  9. Greetings! Nice review, thank you! I think this is a pretty good looking set...this is the first I have known of it. I am quite amazed at the inclusion of a minifigure which, if I remember right, is not usually part of the landscape in CREATOR sets.
  10. Greetings! Great review, I to recently acquired this set. I was reluctant at first, but I think the stand is growing on my citizens of Lego town.
  11. Greetings! Nice review, I am glad to see that the tram can go on tracks. I am a bit disappointed that the TRU stores in the USA (especially in the western states) haven't even gotten the TRU Truck in stock let alone this set. Seems like something is not right If TRU waits to much longer to release sets over her in the western side of the states my wallet might end up running off to find something else to catch
  12. Greetings! Nice Review! Does anyone know when this will hit the States?
  13. Greetings! I am sure this is probably been mentioned before but does anyone out there know a specific date (other than June 2010) that these wonderful train sets are supposed to appear in the USA? I have been dying to get my hands on the cargo train and train station.
  14. Greetings! I bought one MISB and if I remember correctly there is supposed to be 4 green BURPS. I believe the base and the instructions were the only thing that wasn't sealed. I know the motor and all of the connectors were in individual packages and a lot of the bigger plate parts were in bags. I had some pictures that I took of the sealed bags before I built it but I think they have fallen victim to my last disk sweep. As far as a homemade set, I don't believe so....as it is very possible you could have fell victim to bad distribution. I know I had that problem with my recent purchase of Green Grocer, one of the clear window pieces was missing! But then again, a green BURP is hard to forget! All aside, it is good to know another fellow vestas buyer!
  15. Greetings! I have never really paid much attention to the modular building series until the GE came out. After seeing all the excitment, I am now awaiting the delivery of my own copy of GE (which is schedule to arrive on Tuesday). I also am taking a second look at the GG set! Nice review!
  16. Greetings! First off, nice review! Secondly, I must say that this is a great little set. About five months ago I was a skeptic about these creator sets, I was most cautious in the fact that they didn't see to lend themselves to being mini-fig friendly. As a die hard classic town person (and some newer city sets) I couldn't see the potential in these creator houses....until now. In the last five months I have acquired the beach house (4996), the family home (6754), and the apple tree house (5891). All I can say is that I have a new appreciation for these sculpted classics even know they lack the mini-fig scale people. I have found that it is easy to retrofit these houses to accommodate the mini figs and they do see to lend themselves in my classic town setup (mainly as a upper scale neighborhood). As a die hard classic town fan I must say that these sets are something to be happy about!
  17. Greetings! This was the first lego set I was given to as a kid and I thought it was the most wonderful set ever! Too bad I didn't have enough sense to keep the box though
  18. Greetings! Just looking through the review index when I came across this one. I recently acquired this set through ebay which came with a practically perfect box and instructions. I would almost say that no one played with it much as all of the parts were brand new. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this is a great set that was worth the $14.99!
  19. Greetings! Thank you for the review, I just picked up the set yesterday for $4.50 and I think it is a pretty good deal. I am a major fan of the four wide (classic town) approach and I am glad to see it alive and well in the newer city theme. I could be wrong, but this set defiantly reminds me of an earlier set: 6530-1 Sport Coupe from 1990. That one had rear lights but the overall appearance was the same and the mini-fig even had a briefcase! I could defiantly see a comparison review between the two sets!
  20. Greetings! My city is currently all boxed up due to lack of space but at one time I included #10184 Town Plan as my "old town" or main street of my city and for my down town (across the tracks of set #4534 My Own Train) I had the following: #6349 Holiday Villa #4999 Vestas Turbine #1854 Velux House #6350 Pizzaria #4532 Railroad Crossing Station #6378 Shell Gas Station #6377 Delivery Center #6386 Police Station #6389 Fire Station #6380 Hospital #6362 Post Office #6376 Breezeway Cafe MOC Drive In Theater MOC Humble Abode A little further out of town is the airport (#6392) with an airshow (#6345) and various other air vehicle sets: #6342 Rescue Chopper #6341 Gas N Go Flyer #6375 Trans-Air Carrier #1974 Flyer Cracker #7732 Air Mail And of course, what would a town be without the hustle and bustle of cars and accessories: #6628 Shell Tow Truck #6354 Pusuit Squad #1896 Trauma Team #6351 Camper #6601 Ice Cream Cart #6624 Delivery Van #6671 Utility Repair #6590 Vacation Camper #6606 Road Repair #6693 Garbage Truck #7742 Street Sweeper #7731 Mail Van #8398 BBQ Stand #8401 Mini Fig Collection #6655 Auto and Tire Repair #6627 Convertable #6632 Tactical Patrol #5611 Public Works #5613 Fire Fighter #6309 Town Mini Figs #6314 City People #6650 Fire and Rescue Van This is all that I have aquired to make my city and hopfully I will have room again to build it up and take pictures
  21. Greetings! Thank you for sharing a wonderful review! This was one of the few childhood sets that survived the roughness and I am glad since it is not often that Lego comes out with any food service sets. This is a good one and is essential in the classic town setup.
  22. Greetings! This last weekend I was fortunate enough to obtain a Emerald Night locomotive and tender brand new! I don't have the passenger car though. If anyone is interested in selling a passenger car or cars for this set, let me know. Price is negotiable (as long as not unreasonable) Thank you!
  23. Oh yeah! You can defiantly count me in!
  24. Greetings! This sounds like a real good oppurtunity to get some reveiws out on some of those older classic town sets that I have (post office 6362, holiday villa 6349, garbage truck 6693, etc.). I currently don't have a whole lot of time but I would like to know how to get in. Thank you
  25. Greetings! Nice review on a classic set! I still have this set from when I was a kid. Unfortunantly, as a kid I was pretty fond of playing with the set in lakes and streams and therefore the stickers are no longer present, but it is still a nice set!
