I agree with Col. Brick...this definitely has the 'rat rod' feel two it. I love the mix of colors giving it that 'primer' look with a grill that might even be slightly rusted. I also like the way you did the center console using a 1x3 curved slope. I've yet to see something like that. Very innovative. The brick build seating is great and I like the engine details. Great work! -Dave

Welcome to Eurobricks! This is a great community with a lot of fun people. Looks like you've got a good collection going there. I love the old Pirate ships and must confess that I too am a fan of the bright primary colors. Glad you came out of lurking status. -Dave

Very cool! I think you have represented the home of the Weasley family quite well! I like how it looks kinda 'patched together' just as it is described in the books. Great work! -Dave

The Vulcan is nice...but really heavy. It's not really a good 'mobile' or 'stealth' weapon. It's best used to defend a key physical point. Like if you had a fort where you were guarding a flag or some prisoners...it could go there. Think of it a a 50 cal. It really needs to be setup somewhere to be effective. It's still fun as heck though. -Dave

I've got a small arsenal at my house. I've got two Mavericks, two CS-6 Recons, two long-shots, and an EBF-25. Here's a picture. I probably won't buy any additional ones. I bought them to participate in an upcoming 'NERF Assassins' game I am setting up. I was going do do an assassins game at BW 2009...but I didn't have time to set it up. Next year... -Dave

I just bring mine with. She's fun to party with. And she's a hell of a builder. -Dave

Nah...we're all in the same boat. This last week will involve marathon building and packing sessions and little sleep. -Dave

I thought I replied to this...hmm...guess not. Anyway, this is great! They way you did the treads was very clever and I just love the over all proportions. So, the big question...is it 'swooshable'? Can you play with it and have it not really fall apart or is it meant more as a static model for a diorama? Either way it is quite cool. I'm excited to hear that you are bringing it to Brickworld! I will be looking forward to getting a closer look at it there. Less than 2 weeks to go!!! -Dave

I tell her to stop by here and say hi. I'm sure she'd love to talk HP with you on here. I really like this new version! Are you planning to use land contouring to contour the base of the castle into the landscape? In other words make it look like it is on a rock integral to the hillside? I think Stacy is planning to do something like that after Brickworld. As always...a work in progress. -Dave

Thanks for the laughs guys. This was great. Is EB-News going to be broadcasting LIVE...from Brickworld? -Dave

Nice MOC commemorating the day! Though I have yet to visit Sweden...it is on my list as soon as I can get over into the Scandinavian countries. Enjoy the day and the football match. -Dave

Animal House...yeah...Kathie says that's what it's like living with you everyday. *sizzle* -D

So what kind of racing did you do? My wife and I used to run stage rally in the SCCA ProRally series (now known as the Rally America series).

Oh, I love this! Chronicles of Narnia is a great, great series. I'm so glad to see you representing it in LEGO. This was a great scene form Prince Caspian and you have really managed to capture the essence of it quite well. I'll echo the other comment saying the griffin freakin' rocks! This is simply beautiful. Edit: So I looked at it even closer. The catapult is super-duper. And the way you did the ground caving in is spectacular. -Dave

Mine is easy... My name is Dave and I'm 1/2 of ToT-LUG (aka Death-LUG or Town of Trempealeau LEGO Users Group) See...easy. -Dave ToT-LUG

Looks pretty sweet so far! I recognize many of the places you have modeled from the game. Hogwarts is an ambitious undertaking seeing as it is such a large and detailed structure. I like the idea of building it to suit how YOU imagine Hogwarts. Harry Potter is all about getting lost in the fantasy world of magic and, in that realm, imagination is your best weapon. I really like what you are doing here and please keep posting. Don't get discouraged or bored...you are really doing something cool that will take some dedication. The results will be worth it though. If you are interested, you can check out my wife's Harry Potter related projects... Here Here Here ...And Here ...And Here Again...keep up the great work. Long live imagination!!! -Dave ToT-LUG p.s. We're debuting a new HP layout at Brickworld 2009 in two weeks. Watch for pictures!

This MOC doesn't just scream Classic Pirates...it jumps out, punches you in the face, and says 'behold my Classic Pirate awesomeness'. Seriously though...I like this a lot. The modularity (is that even a word?) is great and the guy with the sausage...well...he just really adds to the MOC. An excellent melding of an old skool theme with new skool building techniques. Way to rock...on an island. -Dave

Oh yay!!! I LOVE 'The Edge Chronicles'! I've read books #1 and #2 and have started #3. My lovely wife on the other hand...has read the whole series and is the one who got me into them. I have yet to see any MOC's based on this series. Oddly enough...I was having this exact same thought about two days ago so your thread is very timely (for me). I am planning to build some various MOC's based on 'The Edge Chronicles' as soon as Brickworld is over. Not sure what my first one will be but some of my ideas are. * The Stormchaser * The Edgedancer * Flabsweat's Exotic Animal Shoppe * The Stone Gardens I'm sure there are tons more things like the 'Bloodoak Tavern' and what-not that could be built as well. The world of 'The Edge Chronicles' is so amazing and would make an excellent fan-developed LEGO theme. Glad to see other people are thinking about this as well. Speaking of skyships...Hinckley built a nice skyship awhile back. IIRC...it was called 'The Brutal' and was on display at Brickworld 2008. Correct me if I am wrong, Hinckley. -Dave

I love cake...so I guess we have that in common! Welcome to Eurobricks. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay. So, what are your favorite themes and what do you like to build? Any other interesting information we should know? -Dave

I am so going to have to get a second job after BW 2009. -Dave

This is epic trainage Tony! I know you said you were going big...but geez! I'm really looking forward to seeing this (and more importantly seeing it run) at Brickworld. I hope you are contributing to the Steam Train Design Techniques talk. I'll expect some additional information on this MOC during that discussion. See you in about 2 weeks! -Dave

Nice work Cooper! I love the color scheme and this is a great rendition of 10194. I especially like your power solution by fitting the PF stuff into a boxcar. I just might have to steal that idea. Keep up the great building! -Dave

Well it's about freakin' time! Welcome to Eurobricks honey. Come for the LEGO...stay for the debauchery. Glad you could finally join us. -Your Loving Husband
