  1. Condsidering they haven't been released in North America, that would be difficult.
  2. I believe most of you who are disappointed about it being "too small" are seriously underestimating the size of this beast. It's over a meter long for crying out loud. The Eiffel Tower was 300:1 scale and (without doing any research) I'd guess this is closer to 150-200:1 scale. I love it.
  3. It's actually 2.5 times too large to be minifig scale. The ship is said to be 8 meters and assuming minifig scale is ~ 1:42, then the ship should be ~0.19 meters long (19 centimeters) and thus at 47 centimeters is ~2.5x minifig scale.
  4. I was at the Lego Store in the Mall of America yesterday and asked when Series II will be released. They didn't know, but said it would be "soon". Perhaps in as few as two weeks. So, that would make it the beginning of August. They also said Series I was sold out in less than three weeks (which we all knew) in the US. Hopefully it won't be as bad this second time around.
  5. Yes, they are sold out. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=852922&cn=640&d=70 Edit: And now, a day later, they are available again.
  6. Your link is screwed up. I think this is what you meant: http://www.fbtb.net/2010/06/10/new-info-on-future-collectible-minifigs-series/
  7. I'm in the US. Haves (extras): 4x Forestmen 2x Crash Test Dummies 2x Clowns 2x Magicians 1x Diver 1x Spaceman 1x Cowboy Wants: 1x Caveman 1x Robot 1x Wrestler 1x Cheerleader 2x Nurses 2x Tribal Hunters 2x Zombies I'd prefer to trade based on scarcity (ie one clown for one nurse (or two for two)), since both come three to a box, but of course I'm willing to offer more for zombies. I'd also like to trade in the US only, to keep down the postage costs. Thanks!
  8. I believe the June 21rst date came from an advertisement/calendar. However, since these were available at S@H on June 1rst, it's obvious that was the actual official release date.
  9. The only national big box toy store in the US that ever had these in stock was Toys r Us. Walmart and Target did not have them. Just look at other claims made by this whacko (including his defense of the pics he posted - re: Greek versus Roman) - they will be in stock for months, the secondary market will be flooded, etc, etc, etc. All bologna. They are sold out, they will NOT be restocked at Lego.com and your only recourse now is to luck out finding them at Borders, TrU, a dollar store chain and other local stores. Beware - according to Grogall, the second wave production ended in late May, so BEFORE the first wave was released (and subsequently sold out in the US in two weeks). Thus, the demand is likely to be even greater and the supply as limited.
  10. Asterios also claimed these would be released by Target and Walmart in the states. They haven't. He also claimed these weren't actually sold out online and there would be further shipments. Guess what? S@H no longer has them listed (http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/). Whoops - looks like the page exists, but the theme is no longer featured.
  11. I withdraw my accusations then. I got lucky and I assume your speculation is correct. I complained a few times regarding my displayed (not actual) VIP points balance being stuck at 0 now for almost two weeks - it's possible someone took pity on me.
  12. Yes, I agree completely. Consider the source of differing information and previous posts (which I'm sure you have). EE is sold out and I doubt they will have more in stock, so congrats on your successful pre-order (interested in selling one of those?)! Interestingly enough, I did not get an actual sealed "box" in my shipment. There were 60 individual packages thrown into the shipping box, however the breakdown is listed above and as it is EXACTLY the same as the European boxes and the 10 you've gone through, it's obvious the S@H employee who packed it opened a sealed box and dumped in the minifigs. The odds against this are incalculable. Again, this is directly in contradiction to the "S@H grabs from a huge pile of minifigs for orders". I was 100% confident I would receive the breakdown listed and indeed I did.
  13. My box of 60 (which arrived from S@H today) had the following: 5 ninjas 5 divers 5 crash test dummies 4 forestmen 4 magicians 4 cowboys 4 spacemen 4 cavemen 4 robots 3 wrestlers 3 clowns 3 cheerleaders 3 nurses 3 skaters 3 tribal hunters 3 zombies Edit: So, the same contents as the European boxes.
  14. This might get me banned, but I find your posts extremely annoying and ignorant. It is definitely NOT a Roman and is in fact a Greek Hoplite. As one of my former undergrad physics profs says: "It's obvious to the most casual observer.". You are incorrect. I'm sure others will back me up with links if necessary, but it's not worth me venting any more.
  15. Which toystores? We have no dedicated toystores in the town I live in. Only Target, Walmart, Kmart, Shopko, etc. Not even a TrU.
  16. grogall, would it be weird to say I love you? No, seriously, thanks a ton for this information. If the production run for Series II was completed in late May, that means (more than likely) availability of Series II (in the US anyway) will also be extremely limited (since no one had any idea supplies of Series I would be depleted in two weeks). The only places I ever saw these for retail price was in Lego stores and at S@H - even ToysrUs jacked up the price 25% ($1.99 to $2.49). And I never saw them in stock at TrU (online or in a store). In any case, this should lay to rest the nonsense about the resupplies and big box stores receiving late inventory from Lego. Some people might get lucky Monday if indeed Walmart and Target, etc, are waiting until June 21rst to release their inventory, but I would hardly bet on it.
  17. Mine has been shipped and I have a tracking number. My entire order (60) is still shown as shipped (S@H order). Edit: My credit card is showing a charge for the quoted price as well, so I'll definitely be receiving the full 60.
  18. What bubble are you bursting? I was explaining my reasoning and I believe it's decent logic. I ordered 60 and will definitely receive 60. Well, we'll find out in a few days if I receive a box (I had a $5 off coupon - that's why the price is $1.91, instead of $1.99 apiece). Ship Date Item Name Qty. Price Order Total 17 Jun 2010 8683 LEGO® Minifigures 60 USD 1.91 USD 114.60
  19. Yes, I read that post. I don't believe that's the case, sorry. All the people that have complained about receiving five of the same minifig (when ordering five from S@H) only received five of those that were among the group that those that received the European boxes noted were next to each other and indeed five in number. Ie, they were plucked from next to each other from a box that contained the same amount as those the Europeans noted, and not from a giant receptacle, where they just "happened" to be the same minifig. I hope I am explaining my reasoning clearly.
  20. That really is bull (the excuse you received from Lego). I ordered 24 of these figs over five orders (5,4,5,5,5) and when the last five are delivered today, I will have received all five orders. I also ordered 60 (hopefully a box) yesterday when the limit was lifted AND there was stock. That order is still in process, but I'm pretty sure it will ship successfully. So, (obviously) the limit of five per household is BS.
  21. If you're in the states, I haven't seen these anywhere except lego.com, Lego stores and ToysrUs (where they are constantly sold out). I've just been buying five at a time from S@H. I've been checking Target and Walmart daily.
  22. I've ordered 19 so far, in four different orders (5,4,5,5). The first two shipments have arrived and out of 9 minifigs, I've only received two duplicates (so I have seven different minifigs out of nine ordered). I'm hoping the next ten are as randomized!
  23. 1.) I buy the sets both because they are amazing "parts packs" and because they are spectacular models. 2.) Individual only because I was in my Dark Ages for the Statue of Liberty, but have the others. 3.) I would also love to see the Colosseum. 4.) I would also love an UCS castle. 5.) My wife would love a ski chalet and/or a Farmer's Market (or The Temple of Artemis - one of the ancient seven wonders, lol). I would love to see the Sistine Chapel.
  24. I haven't been able to locate any in stores yet, but once I do, I'll keep this thread in mind and try to help you out. I did order a few from S@H, so we'll see what kind of variety arrives.
  25. This guy sells MOCs all the time and does VERY well for himself (he's talented): http://shop.ebay.com/lesko76/m.html?_nkw=&...p;_trksid=p3686 I have never bid on his auctions, but I do watch them, as it gives a good indication of the willingness of others to spend big money.
