I want the Space windscreens (from the SpaceSkulls/StarJustice) put back in. But considering the insane price hike (and subsequent retraction) I don't think we can expect much out of TLC as far as improvement in LDD goes.

Saw the 30$USD and lower Space Police sets at Target today in CA,USA. There were at one of those end of aisle displays instead of mixed in with the regular Lego aisle. They also had a display model of Hyperspeed Pursuit, however that set was not yet available for sale... A little sad... I wanted to get Freeze Ray Frenzy, but only had enough money on me to either buy the set, or buy my train ticket to get home... I'll have to go back later I guess.

Some people say its fine. I've used it and had problems more than once. Last time 4 of my bricks were accidentally replaced with 4 of a totally different brick (human error, someone grabbed from the wrong bin I guess). I've also seen miscountings where I'll end up with 1 brick missing sometimes... I'm too lazy to order individual bricks off bricklink though, so I keep buying form Factory... I just don't ever expect them to come in totally perfect...

I like it, nice rover with some tough looking wheels. Only thing is I wish the controls were separate from the chainsaw accessory.
-
Wow! That is very dark and creepy. With flames that big, I think she's already cooked (heat rises ya know...).
-
..and packed the vehicles as separate impulse sets; instead of the current ridiculously small impulses we have...
-
I love the way you used clear plates to make the stream of water on the floor. It looks great.
-
Flight Mode Funny, I was joking about its appearance in the past saying it might as well be a spaceship if you just take off the wheels. I guess they made it look like that on purpose. I don't like the flip down wheels though, they look big and clunky for a spaceship. I'd much rather the top half of the vehicle simply pop off as a flyer, leaving a wheeled 'launch station' behind...
-
Do the front wheels automatically return to center (pointing straight) when you are not holding down the steering control? Or do you have to twist it back the other direction to make them straighten out? In other words, are the front wheels controlled by a rack and pinion, or by an electromagnet and spring?

Either M-Tron or Spyrius, I was growing up at the time those were alive. And their color schemes were similar so I'd often have them allied in old mocs.
-
Thats because it is a flipper. For the technic macro figures.
-
What Review? All I see is the 'dramatic prologue'.
-
Well, if it Really is just a tiny Die, and those plates on the sides are really just normal detachable tiles. Then the center pieces offers some rather cool SNOT possibilities. - a 2*2*2 cube with studs on all sides! Plus I'd love to have the die faced tiles.
-
The wings are neat. But I find the cockpit/body to be a strange shape. Imagine this, what if you kept most of it as is, but instead used a traditional blacktron2 bubble cockpit out front on a long neck. (like a klingon bird of prey)
-
I'm having trouble picturing how big that thing is. Somehow with all the animations I think this is much larger than a 2*2*2 stud cube. Is it some kind of electronic game shaped like a dice? maybe Simon or something? Or is it literally just a dice.
-
Yeah I was really happy when they changed the mould for the 1*1 round plates to put the mould point at the center of the stud instead, so I could quit doing that. I wish they'd do the same for the 1*1 round cylinder bricks; then again those have hollow studs... well maybe if they could put the mould injection point on the ?Inside?
-
Yeah, but what really gives me trouble is aligning the 1*1 round bricks. What direction are they facing!?

The hinge pivot point needs to be Lower than the edge that is currently snagging. It may also be helpful to make the doors longer with the hinge farther forward; as it is now, even if your door was to rotate upwards by 90degrees along that hinge, it will still be blocking the passenger from leaving. Notice how it works on a real car, the door should be long and shallow.

Ah, this might be a good start for some backstory. Noticed how all the cops are humans and the villians are aliens? Perhaps all the privelleged upper class humans live in the domes, while the aliens are left to the wastes outside. Maybe a big factor in the separation could be airbreathers versus the vacuum enabled? (the cops have air tanks while the aliens don't)

I was really hoping that the Twins' ship could fit both of them at once. Especially since it has the wide 6stud windshield; in the past TLC has used jumper plates to get 2 minifigs to sit side by side in that kind of space. Seems easy enough to mod, you just need to lose the side walls in favor of some thin snot paneling. In a perfect world, you could buy each of these ships seperatly at 20$USD each. Are they really worth 50$USD combined? I really like the form of the police ship, but vastly prefer the villians in general. I may just skip the whole set and MOC the police ship in red and black...

It is definetly much nicer than the current impulses but that is mainly an issue of price in general so I can't really blame SP3 totally. Squidman escape (a 6$ set) is probably the closer modern equivalent.
-
I bought one of these off ebay. Mainly for the windscreen and cockpit piece at a relatively low price. Also it was the cheapest way to get that minifig with his cool face print. I figure its a good Space parts pack.

Considering the cockpit they used, the funny engine pieces on the sides, and the thruster-y rear, just pop off the wheels and you'll have your spacecraft.

Brick Built Switch for ExoForce Light Brick?
xenologer replied to Davey's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Look at the official instructions for the first year Exo Force mecha, they had a little lever on the back that you pulled to activate the light brick. I'd imagine you can modify that, maybe as simple as a rubber band to hold the lever down.
