Thoughts in order - Buzz, Woody, and the rocket-car: I like Woody, Buzz is awesome, is that the car from Toy Story [first one]? Army Men: Awesome! Green binoculars [i can make a Slitheen!] I like their little mounting plates, too. Headwraps, capes, and printed legs: Prince of Persia, woo hoo! I almost hope there's no Castle next year so that I have enough cashola to get these! I especially love the cone helmets, dark tan turban, and Prince hair.

I agree, I didn't understand why Voldemort died at all first time reading, and I found that the whole plot of the series ending as just some silly semantics was poorly thought out. Also, the gaping plot hole - if Grindelwald had the Elder Wand, how did Dumbledore defeat him in a duel? Not for a book that came out two years ago.

Hey man, Matau was the shiz ! I think the voices are good for the most part - I certainly don't see any problem with Berix or Kiina. Actually, I quite liked the girl who voices Kiina. Maybe if the movie were live-action... Ackar and Mata Nui were really well done, I agree.

Do you think they should make a Star Trek Theme
hewkii9 replied to Go Cubs Go!'s topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
No thanks, it might be nice but there are better possible licenses out there. -
What should there be in the next Agents theme?
hewkii9 replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think that as opposed to more Agents vehicles [that was Batman's downfall, right? they ran out of things to add Bat- to?], the next run of Agents could feature more undercover sets, like the Mansion of Dr. D. Zaster, and some freaky concept vehicles for the villains. -
The Tenth Doctor mentioned it to Five in Time Crash, I had no parts to build a full TARDIS or any wholly new Doctors, and decided to tell that little story. I also got lucky with Tegan's hair, as it's one of the few hair pieces I do own! And the staff themselves discussed my creation? I'm insanely flattered!

Well, now that this is here, someone'll notice the other four minifigures, and, well, everything that's not the satellite, and say that it should belong in Historical Themes.

Apart from the fact that this should've been in Culture and Multimedia, the game looks meh and identical to every other Lego game.

Speckle Black-Silver Wheel Wagon Viking with 12 holes
hewkii9 replied to DarthPineapple's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's just a variation with the ratio of black-to-silver, Viking helmets for example have this too. -
I haven't heard this song personally, but I take it that it doesn't sound like the similarly named N'Sync song? Really? I thought it was like the other movies, where he didn't have input with the movie's story but had to work around it. I suppose this is just another reason why this'll be the best Bionicle movie [although I am partial to Legends of Metru Nui].

I destroy them shortly after I've felt they've run out of playability, but I don't really buy sets for parts either.

Ooh, looking impressive. I hope they keep that little wail from when the Skirmixes run past. Fero?

Apologies for the long, long wait, but for those who don't frequent the Historic Themes thread, I posted a fully-fledged creation there, detailing how the Doctor saved the universe with a kettle and some string! Here. But, for those who just like minifigs, here's [most, I have to leave one or two out to get you to look in my topic] the minifigs that come with! Tegan, the Doctor, and Nyssa The Master and his Turkoon homie
-
I'm back, with a bit more than Doctor Who minifigs! We've all got our own little theories as to just how the Fifth Doctor saved the universe with a kettle and some string - some say the Looms, others cry 'Rani!', but this is how I think it went. The Master's hypnosis machine Tegan being chased by the Turkoon The Doctor being lowered down the string by Nyssa A back view of the scene ...who's this? Looks like the universe might need a teensy bit more saving Tegan, the Doctor, and Nyssa The Master and his Turkoon homie The Brickshelf gallery, available when public Enjoy!

Hurray for lime phones! I hope that this 2x2 jumper will come in normal blue at some point, too.

Thanks for the review, that Twinsmobile really does look like a car. I love it. GTA in space On!!

This is just stunningly good for a first dinosaur! While not a palaeontologist, I'd agree that the torso is a bit longish, but otherwise it looks nice, and I like the sloped rockwork to go with it.

What should there be in the next Agents theme?
hewkii9 replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Perhaps this new team of baddies could even have a color scheme that doesn't default to the usual bad guy colors [black and red/orange]. I'm thinking, to fit in with your safari idea, dark tan and dark brown, with normal green highlights. -
Or, of course, it could actually mean that it isn't happening.

Pixies - Where is my Mind [i haven't quit the pop princesses, but I'm listening to things from the show Veronica Mars, at the moment]

If you could change any one thing about Lego...
hewkii9 replied to Darth Legolas's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'd release a ton of recolor packs. Minifig accessories in new colors, BURPs in every stone-like color conceivable, and so on. -
I gotta say, I beg to differ - assuming that we're counting the Hobbit and the White Council as one thing [like what'll be done for the two Hobbit movies], Lord of the rings only really edges out by one big battle. Lord of the Rings has Helm's Deep, the battle of the Pelennor, and the Black Gate. The Hobbit has ousting Sauron from Mirkwood and the Battle of Five Armies [more factions than any other battle listed]. What would be best for battles, IMO, would be a Silmarillion license, but that never gonig to happen Is it being marketed as a battlepack or a gateway drug?
-
As a Hobbit license is far more likely [it having not come out almost a decade ago, it being a guaranteed box office hit, and it being aimed at children, as opposed to LoTR], here's my ideas for two years of Hobbit-y goodness - Year One An Unexpected Party - A long table, wall section with a round door and window, accessories, and Bilbo, Gandalf, and Thorin. Think Jungle Duel in the Shire, sort of. Small set. Travels through Wilderland - A cart with pony and flickfire catapult, Fili and Kili [identical apart from recolored helmets], Dain and two Wargs. Around $15. Gollum's Cave - A brick-built rock with little compartment feature, a cave shore with walls and maybe a few stalagmites, and Gollum and Bilbo. About $20. The White Council - A big dais with white trees, sort of like what the Council of Elrond looked like. This is more of a fig party, as it features Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, Galadriel, Elrond and Cirdan. $40. Kind of like the Army of Vikings, parts-count wise. Maybe a little guard tower with an Eagle perch. Out of the Frying Pan - A forest [two trees] with three trolls, a fire, a minifig-sized frying pan, and a big brick-built rock that reveals treasure [coins, a crown, and a new sword mold for Sting, possibly a GITD piece]. Includes Bilbo, and Dori and Nori in addition to the trolls. $60. Into the Fire - A sort of 'two-sided' set. One side is the Great Goblin's cave, with rocks, an orc-y standard, and a door to the other side. The other side is the edge of Mirkwood, with trees [maybe some sort of feature that makes the trees look like they're burning], a goblin fire-cart, and a perch for Eagles, with a catapult to send them flying. Includes the Great Goblin, Gandalf, Gloin, Bilbo, Thorin, an orc, and an Eagle. $80-100. Year Two Beorn's Manor - Another long table, one or two apiary things, a new donkey mold. Includes Beorn, Bombur [new fat person mold, attaches like a cape], and Bilbo. Small scale set. Barrels out of Bond - A portcullis that drops into the water, a little chute to send barrels out of, and a trap door. Similar in layout to Chuchilla Cemetery Battle. Includes Bilbo, Balin, and Dwalin, as well as 3 barrels. Around $15. Spiders of Mirkwood - Two trees, with a bunch of connection points for the spiders and webbing. Includes a web trap to catch minifigs in. Includes Thorin, Bifur, Bofur, and two brick-built spiders. Around $20. The Forestking's Palace - The palace itself is sort of like the bunker from the Battle of Endor set. Includes a banquet hall, prison, and guard tower. Includes Bilbo, Ori and Oin in the prison, Thranduil, and Lego-las! Around $40. The Battle of Dol Guldur - A classic Lego dark fortress, but with all the weird curves and spikes of Mordor. Sort of like Scorpion Prison Cave. Includes a catapult to besiege it with, and a feature to make the fortress crumble when some pins are removed. Inside the fortress, there should be a laboratory. Includes Gandalf, the King of the Eagles, one orc, one zombie, and the Necromancer [he needs a zombie]. The Lonely Mountain - A great, open-up mountain, similiar to what's in Volcano Base but bigger, with one or two doors [including the secret door as a play feature]. A couple tan plates attached to it give the owner space to make a great Battle of Five Armies. Includes Smaug, Thorin, Gandalf, two Orcs, Bard and a generic Man of Dale, and two Bilbos, normal Bilbo and a trans-clear invisible Bilbo [used to sell the set]. Has to be big and grand. Around $100. This way, a fig-hungry AFOL needs all the sets to get all the figs, as all thirteen dwarves are in different sets.

Wow, that is just brilliant. I love how much detail you've crammed into the troll's head at that size. Have you ever thought of building an Ent?

Sorry to bring my elf agenda into this, but I really don't see why Castle has to have elves in it, there are more than enough things that Lego could add that are less expected and less likely to happen anyways if a Hobbit license is gotten *fingers crossed*.
