  1. I'm confused. Will the US be getting them first? Sorry if I'm being dense. Not dense at all. It's a good question. They will be released in the US first. As a seperate issue, BTW, Icedrake - there is NO GCPD or Batsignal planned at this time, like I've seen rumored (by you) on another site. That's just speculation & rumor = Bull Megablok. It was SUGGESTED while we were in Enfield - but nothing was put together and I'm sure nothing would be ready to go at this stage in the game. Sorry I had to say that, but c'mon - I was there. I know what I saw. (Thanks for the custom title whomever added it! :-D )
  2. Thanks mate - I do what I can. :-D
  3. Yes. I'm positive. I've seen it. I've held it in my hands - I've played with the minifigs that come with it. Just because there aren't pics out there doesn't mean it isn't coming out. It's a TRU exclusive. "Other sites" probably aren't talking about it for one of a couple of reasons. A) it's a toy store site and since it's not available for them to sell, they aren't going to mention that it exists OR B) it comes out later in the year and pics aren't available yet - so why talk about it? They don't have any info because they haven't seen it. We've talked about it *at length* over at the LOG forums and provided a detailed description of the sets.
  4. Actually, I was just kidding with you. Much of the stuff in the bat universe is shown with wings/tail fins. It's kind of a theme for the character.
  5. What color wings should they have? I was expecting a fancy pinkish Bellville feel to it :D :P That was actually how they came up with many of the concepts. They used whatever parts they had on hand and Bellville parts happened to be there. IIRC they were little pink butterfly/fairy wings... KIDDING!!! *wacko*
  6. That's correct - all brick. Galidor...*shudder* *sick*
  7. What color wings should they have?
  8. I like the Batboat alt also! The bat logo is a sticker. They can be used or not, like with most LEGO stuff that I've seen recently. There are even extras that the designer included on the sheet to put on other things (cell phones, Ipods, whatever) as well! I'll see if I can find out about the alt instructions and where they'll show up.
  9. It's very similar to that ship. Good job finding that pic! The other set is of one of the elemental temples - I honestly don't remember which one it is. As soon as I can show you, I will!
  10. Alternate model pics are now available! I've posted 4 - they're all available at Legions of Gotham Here's a couple to get you started: Batboat alternate: Dragster alternate:
  11. These are being released in the US around April. UK and other markets will be later - sometime in the summer. Auguse *might* be correct - I'll see if I can't get that confirmed for you.
  12. LOL! You're guess is as good as mine right now on when I'll be able to show the rest - like I said, my home PC is down and my electrician is, to be honest, clueless I fear, so he's talking about tearing out walls *wacko* and what not at this point to find the problem. :| The little bit that I'm able to post, is from work - so I'm sure you all can appreciate how my focus really isn't on LEGO. (At least, it's not supposed to be... :-D ) Thanks for the patience guys - I appreciate it. I'm sure a newb like myself could easily have been labled as being full of megablocks (did I use that term correctly?) when I didn't have the pics I'd promised earlier in the month. That didn't happen, so thank you all for understanding.
  13. The really huge one is a statue, similar to the Batman one, promoting the line. While there in Enfield, Spongebob was EVERYWHERE! IIRC, there were 3 or 4 of the big ones being built and they were all in various stages of completion. The others are... ;) part of an upcoming promotion.
  14. Sorry it's been so long. I've got electrical issues at the new house and it's causing me to have zero access to my home PC. Various sizes: I'll explain when I have a bit more time - just know that these ARE NOT pics of sets. These are....something else. :D More pics of the inside of the corporate office are being posted on my blog.
  15. *wacko* DOH! Sorry - forgot that one! I'll put info on the Avatar line in the Avatar thread. (It'll be tomorrow though, since it's closing time and I won't have a PC to go home to. ;) )
  16. Sheesh! Didn't mean to cause such controversy! :$ When I was in Enfield, one of the questions that we were asked is 'what else do you want to see from this line?" Here's kind of how the conversation went: Me: "A light up Batsignal." LEGO: "Ok. What else?" Me: "Martha and Thomas Wayne's grave - it's an iconic part of Batman, although, since it's a graveyard, LEGO might not want to do it..." LEGO: "Well, we just did a Harry Potter graveyard, so, maybe." (Which is the whole reason I purchased the HP Graveyard set! :-D ) Me: "What characters can you do? What eras? What sources?" LEGO: "We can do anything that touches the Batman universe." Me: "Then I want...." (this is where I gave them my laundry list of characters - Harley, Bane, Green Arrow, Superman, Black Canary, Oracle, Batgirl, JLA, etc etc.) In a nutshell, that was part of the discussion. *satis* Hope that helps!
  17. OK. They are minifigs. Spongebob is... different. He's not your typical minifig. The best description I can offer is to look at how the Chewie figure is made in the SW sets - Spongebob is similar. Gary is made of block - he's REALLY cool! When I saw that - :oD I thought this is gonna be a fun line! We're also getting a Mr Crabs, Plankton, Patrick and Squidward. Mr Crabs and Patrick are not traditonal 'head-torso-legs' type of figs either. They have different parts to make the figure look like the character. I liked all the sets so far. Spongebob's house is similar to Hagrid's Hut - however - it's made of brick this time, instead of paper. Much better IMO! I think you guys will be interested in the "Spongebob & Plankton's Adventure" set. It was easily my fav of the bunch. It's a large build-a-Spongebob. Plankton fits inside where there are levers and controls so that Plankton can make Spongebob go and do what Plankton wants him to do. It comes with a spitting feature that was really fun! (Sorry - pics are on my home PC, which still isn't unpacked. When it is, I'll show some pics off.) Other ?s
  18. Ok - couple of points after looking at the past few pages. First a request (I don't know if this is common here or not) if you're going to copy quotes from Legions of Gotham, please at least mention that's where you got the news from. The description of the Arkham set (a page or so back) came from one of the LEGO designers who's a member of LOG's forum. Second - I saw a ? about why no Harley Quinn. I suggested that she be added to a future set (along with other 'must have' people and things, such as a light up Batsignal) while I was there in CT. Everyone working on the Batman license is REALLY excited about it and want to get it exactly right, so I have confidence that we're in for some great stuff. Third - Toywiz pricing VS the rest of the world. Toywiz sucks. Period. Toywiz is a family/scalper run store owned and operated by Gareb Shamus' mom and brother. When Wizard or Toyfare runs their price guide, it's basically an excuse for the family store to raise their prices. DON'T buy there if at all possible. Other questions about the pics? (I'm working on verifying that Arkham will be available overseas. IIRC, they will be available, just sometime after they're released here in the US.)
  19. I can - it's a time issue for me right now. I'm moving to a new house, so my internet at home is off. The only time I have to post is somewhat limited, since I'm at work - that's why I've been so scarce & trying to play catch up on these threads. HOPEFULLY I'll be all moved in next week and things will get back to normal. I'll be able to discuss the sets at length at that time. (With pics!) :-D
  20. That's actually a prototype pic - it has more penguins pictured than actually come with the set. IIRC there are 3 in the set instead of 4. You mean that instead of getting four pinguins...we only get three!? Thats dissapointing. I just realized that the security guard pictured in the Toyfare magazine is the same as the one in the spiderman set..(Except this one has the gun, which the spiderman one didn't.) Yes, there are only 3 penguins in the set. While it's disappointing, it's fine by me. One of the coolest things about this set is the penguins - they're made of brick! (Sort of like Gary from the Spongebob set. Wait - we haven't talked about that yet.... :-D ) So, you could easily make as many as you want (and make them whatever color you want with the bricks you have on hand) to go with the set. Want a penguin army like in Batman Returns? Make it! :D No - it's hard plastic.
  21. Keep in mind - LEGO has the Batman license. That covers (as it was explained to me) EVERYTHING that touches the Batman universe. JLA. Superman. Ambush Bug. Everything. :oD Superman & JLA characters/sets were one of the things I recommended while I was there. Don't know if it will happen, but the suggestion is out there.
  22. There was a blue and grey Batman done initially. Unfortunately, that one was scrapped at the prototype stage. I saw one when I was in Enfield - I REALLY wanted that fig! :-D
  23. That's actually a prototype pic - it has more penguins pictured than actually come with the set. IIRC there are 3 in the set instead of 4.
  24. I was in CT to see the sets with some of the ambassadors. I've seen the line - played with them and talked about what should be done in future sets. Arkham is the asylum that Batman takes the villains to after they've been captured. From what I saw, I'll be buying multiples of that set just to customize all their individual cells.
