  1. cake? where? oh, happy birthday! now where is the cake????? :D
  2. woah! the number of pages keep expanding as I read them! must be a popular topic....
  3. Im getting the set for both the wampa, and the speeder, and, I can never have to many "generic" bricks as well. the cave structure has more basic pieces in it then I've seen in the starwars line for awhile. heh, and I've never even heard of him anyways! I suggest they should have made it Han. THEN it would be perfect for re-enacting the Hoth scene.... wait! they should do a whole do-over, and put the wampa and taun-taun and Luke/Han all in one set....
  4. Im a bit concerned over how lego seems to be going up in price, other then that, this one looks fun!
  5. where did you get the green mini-helms???? did you paint them?
  6. I am known as "Lord Falkner" everywhere. The truth is, it all started with Lego. I had a collection of the Black Falcon knights (Well, I still have them! :) ) and I named the leader "Lord Falkner". This became my favorite figure, and well, then I started using the black falcon emblem everywhere. I even made a large black cape, and hand stitched the emblem on the back, and a full sized wooden shield.... ....my avatar has a similar figure to my original one. My lord Falkner figure had the classic BF torso, blue legs with black hips, and the same face as the avatar, (red hair hanging in eyes). also, he usually didnt wear a helmet, and had the dark-red long hair wig. (same as the black one shown, only dark red) the hairpiece came from a special SAH catalog accessory kit. Face was from a soccer set, and the body/torso were original BF. I added a black cape I got from a viking set later. anyways, thanks to Dr Kilroy for my avy pic, as I dont have a camera yet. EDIT/UPDATE I have changed my forum name to better fit my upcoming projects. You'll see soon enough....
  7. I want one!
  8. Build some for my army, I will.
  9. OK, this was worth the wait (on Dial-up) to see. 1. Castle looks different from alot of typical lego castles. 2.Details. lots of nice details. (also, you dont see too many wooden sections on most peoples lego castles) 3. The Black Falcons are my favorite castle series, so, I had to post a comment! Lord Falkner approves! ...as soon as I get my camera working again, I'll post my castles! ^^
  10. ....I say we kill skinny..... ......a most violent....and bloody ****** death...... I'll get the thumb screws!... :P EDIT: just kidding really-we wont really kill him....
  11. .....I'm truly speachless. Nice. You got Playability AND Realism! (the food synthesizer was a nice detail) \||//
  12. I Want the Pirate Advent calendar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I already started saving for it...... Add me- Lord Falkner (aka- Daniel Ludwig-Cartoonist)* *see sig
  13. Welcome to EB! This is an interesting place indeed. If you need help, or have questions about anything on the forums, first look to see if you can find your answer.. (to avoid the total n**b look. :P ) then pm, or ask in appropriate forums, and you should get help! Never met a Lego fan I didn't like. ...and remember .... m#g@B1*ks is a curse-word around here! :P -Falkner Lord of Avione
  14. Sure why not! (I swords) ...also, I have the pitchfork, (I found what sets it's in) and I used to have 3 gray round shields with the stud in the middle,... ...until a tragic accident in the middle of the night.... lego shield + foot = pain and eternal torment (the torment of destroying a rare iconic Lego......) also, a friend of mine said he had a Lego great-sword with a green jewel in the pommel.... ...said it was from some king Arther set, or something. I have never heard of any Lego sword with a jeweled pommel. I think it was a (forgive me!) whisper: meg@#!*K. If I am wrong, then I would like to know, but even though he does have the very first Lego yellow-brick castle.... ...he doesn't know his bricks like I do...
  15. Lord Falkner approves! the way you gave it the rounded look is nice, and actually works!
  16. the sword is like the first, but black- no "chrome" is scraped off. my brother did take care of his toys, no chewing on legos etc. ...wow fast reply! thanks. -Falkner
  17. interesting. I remember hearing the term "modulex", but never realized that they were smaller.
  18. (I hope this is in the right forum, if not, let me know, but it seemed to fit....) I have an old Lego mini-sword, (from before when the shiny great-swords were made....) The odd thing about it is, it is black! I do not know from what set it is from, because my older brother (who I got all my old castle/space sets from) never kept boxes or instructions. I looked through the Lego collectors guide, but did not see any black mini-swords pictured.... if any-one knows anything about this sword, please let me know! -Falkner
  19. Ha Ha Ha!-something did happen. The walls fell! (that could set it off) God may have used an earthquake...... anyways, on the Vig: I like the use of elements to create the priests-creative, and close to actual design. also, you don't see very many Biblical lego depictions. thanks for sharing it.
  20. Greetings and salutations! welcome to EB! I am fairly new myself. do you like RPGs? if so, I am working on one Called Dungeons and bricks,(under the war games forum). if not, that's ok. as long as you like Legos!
  21. thanks for the input Sandy. is your LotB rules posted anywhere? if not, would you email them to me? I would like to look over them for more ideas. I'll be back online on Monday or Tuesday, and I'll post more ideas then. -Falkner
  22. ok, some ideas I have so far: (to give people an idea of what I have in mind...) 1.-stud by stud movement- your speed stat will equate to how many studs you can move per turn. 2-Castle main theme, but additional rules for incorporating space and city (Castle rule will include pirate and ninja, space will be SW, space police etc) 3-Ideas for Races: Castle races: Human Elf Dwarf Troll Skeleton :pir-skull: Space races:(optional) Alien-generic/unspecified Cyborg Wookie (cant think of any other alien races off the top of my head...) City theme would not add any new races. Ideas for Professions: Castle: Knight Ninja Mage Cleric Ranger Pirate Thief Monarch Merchant Space: Pilot Marine Jedi/Sith Bounty hunter City: Mechanic Scientist 4-Pet ideas Dog Cat Falcon Owl horse elephant Dragon-yes, but hard to raise, like charmander! 5-How you build your minifig will affect things. short legs move slower, hook hands cant hold things, but can be a weapon. cyborg arms could use special tools/weapons. special figs, like general grievous, could wield 4 weapons, but not wear extra armor. these are some of my ideas to start with.... any suggestions?
  23. actually, I will be using a few ideas i got from him, such as modular dungeons, but I am wanting to make something a bit more 'complicated', that is, with leveling up. and, instead of blocky squares for movement, full stud by stud movement. the idea is to make things a little more d&d style. Brickquest did come up with some good ideas, but I have something a little different in mind..... ...oh, and as it is going to be a lego d&d, there will be options for OTHER THEMES! besides castle. for example, star-wars and city people could be an option. so, you could be a dwafin Sith lord, and wield a frying-pan as a weapon....as odd as that might be....
  24. I ruined the canvas from the old western weapons wagon that way...... now its discolored, frayed and in bad shape....
  25. Greetings and Salutations! My name is Lord Falkner, and I have been working on a game idea called Dungeons and Bricks. I would like some help from the Lego community in developing it. EDIT:* August 9 09 This forum is mainly for signing up to help with this project, please keep comments to a minimum,(for now, in this thread) (original post, ignore now) *Open for comments, or ideas etc. Please feel free to post any comments and ideas about this project. I will be creating new threads for the actual development later, in which you can post all the comments you want,(Please ). -What do I need help with? Developing some of the rules/ Opinions from the community on which version of the rules is better. also, since my camera broke (forcing me to drop out of the red-coat/blue-coat tourney....) I will be needing help with creating MOCs and pics to put on the D&B website. -how will the development process work? I will guide the development team through an organized plan of development. We will work on one part of the game at a time. for example, we will probably start with character stats/races, deciding what races/professions to have in the game, starting/ending stats etc. then after that part is mostly done, we will work on weapons. we will communicate through these forums, pm, and email. (and the D&B website) Everyone who helps develop this will get credit for their part. -So why do you need/want help with this? 2 reasons 1. although I have a general plan for the game, need help refining the rules. and since this is to be a lego rpg, I would like some help with ideas to make it very, "lego-friendly", that is, there will be some things in the game that you could only do with legos, that wouldn't work without them. 2.I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself to the Lego community, and to get to know some of you. so, if you want to be a part of this, sign up here! (work will officially begin on this project in about 1 week, sun from next... but you can join in anytime!)
