Maybe there is a better place for this thread since it has nothing to do with the website or forums.

This looks fantastic, very very true to the movie, and some great techniques used.
-
Check it out, some decent deals. Shop@home sale
-
But it can be from this thread. I'm sure a quick google search would yield you some results, but out of respect for TLG and to preserve our good relationship with them, the preliminary picture will not be allowed to be posted or linked within Eurobricks.
-
No problem, we were all new once, no harm no foul
-
Do you have a picture of them still sealed? They come in a sealed bag, so I find this reall hard to believe.

You may have noticed I moved your post out of the 3 year old review you bumped. Please don't bump old threads unless you have something to add to the discussion, since this is totally separate from review discussion, I have it, it's own thread which will soon be merged with the main "should, I buy this thread". Anyway, that price would be a very fair deal for that set, given how old it is. Bricklink is a great place to get an idea of what a set is currently selling for on the private market. As you can see here.. $113 is right on par with the lower priced sets for sale, so you could still buy one for roughly the same price if you wish.

Since this is not directly related to the review, I'll move this to it's own thread.

Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?
Big Cam replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Community
Absolutely, DO NOT REPAIR IT! I'm serious, in A car it's no big deal, but when a bike tire blows it's a big deal, don't take a chance with your life I've a few hundred dollar tire. A patched bike tire looses some of it's structural rigidity. It's just not worth the risk, I've seen a bike have a blow out, I was right behind him, it's scary as hell and he got hurt bad. He wasn't a close friend but we were in a group, and his front tire blew out. I'm sure there are industry standard acceptable patches for motorcycle tires, but I'd never ride on one. This is my personal view and my dads, and he's been riding for over 35 years. That's fine for an emergency until you can get a new tire, but I wouldn't use it as a permanent fix. -
Fantastic review, I don't have much to say, because I'm not a huge CW fan, and although the ship is massive, I can find better things to spend $120 on. I think I want it, but the price will likely keep me away, since I'm saving for the falcon.

I'll be honest I was a little shocked when this came out that there was a monthly subscription at all, I mean what kid 12 and under can afford a monthly membership. It just seemed like a poor business decision, and it looks like I was at least somewhat right. I'll definitely try it now, just to try it, but I think LEGO souls stock to the regular games they make.

It's not perfect, but it's still damn good. Way better than I could have done. I'd be proud of this, it really looks accurate.

Oh no, the falcon is from 2009, they were in stores almost two years ago. You certainly won't find one in a store now. I bought mine here on Eurobricks from another member. It just happened to show up this weekend, when I also bought all the pictured PotC sets.

Good idea, I'll link this post in the first post of this thread.

Great find, this will make a nice addition to the blog. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

OK, damn you!!! I was eventually planning to review this set, but your review is fantastic!!! Now if I decide to rebuild it and review it, I'll have my work cut out for me. Splendid work, I know this ship inside out since I've owned it for over 20 years, but I loved your review.
-
If you challenge my authority, I'll cut off your Rum, which is really my only job.

2. Queens Anne's Revenge, and the original Black Seas Barracuda. I need more ships.

So,,,.................................Did I win?

General Discussion and Announcements
Big Cam replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I was told there would be dancing ladies. -
This was actually over the weekend, and the falcon came in the mail, but around $250 later. Wait, so you got Whitecap Bay for $16???? With box and all?? IF so, OMFG, I'm jealous.

Thats just amazing. It just screams PIRATE to me.

10144 sandcrawler in store display case review
Big Cam replied to echobasehoth's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That's really cool that you were able to buy that, and thanks for sharing with us. It sucks that everything is glued, but it's kind of like a collectors piece. Any chance you'll tell us how much you paid? I'd be very curious to know, the sandcrawler itself has gone way up in price. -
I can also be another verification story, this past weekend I bought two of the whitecap bay sets, I opened one and it has new shiny gold in the correct pieces. So maybe that older full gold will become more rare, especially the bricks.
