  1. Ad much of a flattering gesture this is, the shipyard master rank that myself and dreamweb hold are not EB staff positions, but we do run the pirate forums with an iron hook.
  2. I love how they all fit together to make some one large scene. And I do not think pee flows like that in space.
  3. Big Cam

    Fort Royal

Wow, simply fantastic! The rock work is amazing, it looks so good and intricate. All the pictures really do it justice!
  4. Actually the lot of us are already drunk.
  5. Holy Cow this is quite the surprise. I'd review it if I could get my hands on one.

  7. This it's worth quoting so it shows up twice. Happy birthday you two!
  8. My thoughts exactly on this. Vote: Imes da Booey (iamded)
  9. Nice new title, and don't worry, the town will prevail.
  10. Good deal. Knowing that, you did great for the limited selection of bricks. It definitely has the AC feel to it.
  11. Nice review, I find it funny how large the car is in comparison to the driver.
  12. It takes a lot of time to pack those cups properly. I spent almost 45 minutes at my store packing studs, and 2x2 bricks, I eventually gave up, and I still feel like I got my monies worth.
  13. Doesn't seem like much of a problem to me.
  14. This is very compelling, and you are now one of the people I trust most besides Sholanda. With yesterdays victory, I'd have no trouble trusting your findings and voting with you. Unless of course an explanation can be had.
  15. Sweet avatar!
  16. Here are my thoughts, and I really hope everyone listens to what I have to say. Nothing is free on the internet. Most users log into their favorite website or forum and it's always there day or night for their enjoyment. The thing is websites cost money, and so do forums, every thread and every post takes bandwidth and that costs money. Funding a website alone only works for so long, especially when the website is growing as fast as EB. The frontpage is great, it highlights star MOC's and news, but honestly how long do you spend on the frontpage as part of your EB experience. I highly doubt it's much more than 5%. Which is why this is a great place to have a large ad that brings in valuable income to the site. If you love Eurobricks you should be able to handle an ad which you can choose to ignore, the view what you want, click a link and be brought into the forum where most your time is spent. I've been on many forums and only one has not had ad's, but he had a premium member option where you paid a yearly fee for certain perks, which I know helped significantly since I was on his staff for many years. Bottom line, an ad is a very minor part of most people visiting EB, but it's a HUGE asset for the staff to keep offering this great place for free. And please note I am not on the staff nor was this encouraged by any staff member, I just have been around forums a long time and these are my thoughts and experiences with them.
  17. You don't have to create any new material for the blogger role. Our bloggers blog things found on our own forum as well as from around the web that our news scout discovers.
  18. Help me congratulate dreamweb on becoming our newest shipyard master! He's been a huge asset to the classic-pirates.com blog and has even helped with training new recruits. I happen to know he'll be away from the forums for a few days, so lets leave him some nice comments to let him know his work is appreciated, when he gets back.
  19. There will definitely be future opportunities, the age requirement is something we've always had and we'd like to stick with it. Also please note this is not a first come first serve, I will leave this thread open for about a week and then we will pick from the candidates. Thank you for your interest, stick around, be a good contributing member, and we'll notice you, and maybe even approach you in the future.
  20. I'm a huge fan of that series. It's a great concept but I feel like the tower is not big enough, our rather tall enough. The concept is great, also the hay really looks like yellow blocks, I think scattering smaller yellow pieces would give you a better effect. Please take these just as my critiques, it's still a good MOC.
  21. I just saw this on the blog, and I can't believe I missed it. I love the gritty feel that this scene has, it really looks like a scene from a movie (in LEGO of course). There is just the right amount of dirt on R2, and the angles of your pictures really do the scene justice. I just love that tree too, it really represents a thick marshy rain forest type feel, just like on Dagobah. As always I'm a fan. Great great work!!
  22. Good to know, I would have assumed it was this kind of landshark.
  23. Welcome to the forum, it's great that your wife is getting into it too. My wife helped me build the new Millennium Falcon one evening, she's not crazy about LEGO's like me but she likes to be involved with the builds.
